I just moved around the area and was looking for a spot to wax and let me tell you I feel sooooo LUCKY I found this place, one of the best Brazilian waxes I’ve ever gotten for a great price, from now on this will be my to go place without a doubt.
The staff was so nice and friendly. I got a tour of their spa area downstairs and everything looks amazing, I can not wait to be back !!

I got a Brazilian wax from Natasha and she did a great job! My appointment was at 12:30pm and I was prepped at 12:40pm and done at 1pm.
I was nervous of the pain because I haven’t gotten waxed since January. It was quick and easy, probably the best wax I’ve gotten.

I got a groupon for three visit for waxing. Today was my first time. Aziza did the waxing. And she did an excellent job. I am definitely looking forward to the next visits!

I went to Unique Spa yesterday 5−10−16, but It’s not the 11^th and I’ve had the time to mentally process my experience so I can share it with all of you.
Listen ladies (and gentlemen), we all have standards and we want what we expect from our money. I read a bunch of the reviews just so i can get an idea and what i should include in my own because i tend to go off on a rant. Some of the complaints I could say I would agree with, but some ladies were really low balling this place and I just want to set it straight.
Don’t walk in here expecting to be dazzled with looks, because believe me, for the price youd better just say thank you.
I saw on groupon a deal for a brazilian wax, so I got two, for a friend and myself. I made the appointment that same day (in some places you can’t even do that) parking was a bitch but i called and the ladies were understanding.
When my friend and i arrived, it looks like a salon with a door in the end of the room (where the wax took place) and stairs leading down for the spa festivities.
The ladies here speak russian so if thats a plus for you then there you go, it was for me. It was my first time getting a wax and the girl was really friendly and great at relaxing me.
Waxing hurts ladies!!! So i dont know why people write reviews shocked at that fact. Youre ripping hair out of a sensitive area, cry me a river and get over it. She was very nice and at the parts that were more painful than others she used counterpain techniques on me.
To the owner: i appreciate the place, the price and the professionalism. My only complaints is your leaking ceiling tiles that did drip on me a few times and that is the only reason for ⁴⁄₅ stars.
Ill definitely be back for a wax and even maybe a scrub because everyone here on Unilocal seemed to have loved them!

Just went here for my first visit today based on a recommendation from a friend. Got a Brazilian by Natasha and she is the best! She was fast, thorough, nice, calming, and it did not hurt as much as I expected. Very clean and cozy. It’s located in a very busy area and there is only meter-​parking, even on the side streets. And at first that kind of made me not want to come back, but after my appointment with Natasha I don’t even mind lol. Plus, she is so fast that you wont even need a lot of time on the meter. The other staff is pretty nice and accommodating as well. Will definitely be going back.

They don’t take online appointment so don’t schedule one online.
Just had my first visit here under recommendation from a friend to get a Brazilian Wax.
I had a 10 am appointment on a weekend and was running late due to the trains and I called and they understood and waited for me.
Don’t be scared when you walk in and see someone getting their hair cut.
I swear, I thought I walked into a barbershop.
I think the best time is weekday morning.
Natalie (the owner) is a sweetheart and accommodates your schedule very well.
In my second visit, I called in the afternoon and got an afternoon towards their closing time. I was so happy and rushed there after work. I didn’t have to wait and Natasha did a thorough job and I was off to go.

I got a groupon to have a facial, body scut and body wrap. It all lasted for about 2 hours, the facial was an hour and the scrub and wrap another hour, which was more than I expected. The staff was confused at first, they didn’t seem to know how to deal with the groupon, but once they figured it out they were very professional and took their time. The only 2 things I would change would be for them to get new towels, because the ones they have are raggedy and also their music isn’t very relaxing. Besides that I have no complaints, my skin has never felt so soft and clean. I would definitely recommend this place and would love to go back!

I bought a Groupon from them, called today and didn’t have any problems getting an appointment. The place is located in the back of a hair salon. It’s really small but cozy. Room was pretty clean and Natalia was really friendly. The service overal was great. No complaints. I would come back just for a wax.

I heard about this place from some friends and saw some deals on Groupon so decided to try the spa package. The place turned out just as I expected, very cozy but definitely busy (I came on a Friday). My nails (mani pedi) turned out great so no complaints and my eyebrow wax went well thank goodness.
I hate it when they do whatever they want even when I provide explicit instruct. Anyway, here my eyebrows came out looking just as I specified.
Will be back for full leg wax next week. I think I found my go-​to place. Definitely recommended for your grooming needs. Also, this place has a barber for men. Just FYI.

This is my second time here for Brazilian bikini wax. OMG it was so quick and the least painful Brazilian wax I’ve ever done. It’s not too fancy of a place but the she was a pro. Really recommend their wax.

With summer coming up I decided to visit this place to experience the wonders of «tanning». I went with a couple of buddies of mine. They sadly only had one machine so it took some time for us all to finish. The lady there said it costs $ 10 for 12 minutes which isn’t that bad, however, she recommended that I only go in for 8 minutes due to my skin color (pale). This is so that I don’t get a sunburn. When you get in the machine, there is space to take your clothes off. Your suppose to take it all off but don’t worry, there is a lock. After the 8 minutes I got out and noticed a slight change in skin tone. I was told it takes a full week to notice results. I wouldn’t mind checking this place out if I were you because the place has anything nails related for the women.

definitely not going back, received a threaten message after left a bad comment on this business. beware of this business.

I will have to re-​review if I go again.

I really enjoyed my scrub. though I must say I booked the scrub and wrap. I was in the sauna for 10 minutes… and the scrub was about 15 minutes and the wrap was about 25… I was under the impression that the scrub was longer but I am not complaining because I felt it was a job well done.
I will complain about the facial. My face was cleaned, then I was placed under a steamer for 15 minutes, then a mask was put on… I was left there for almost 30 minutes… then my face was washed and lotion was applied… and thats the facial –_​_​-​. I was disappointed with that.
I had underarm wax which was done wonderfully.
Again very friendly. friendly enough that I would go back. But I would not go for a facial… honestly I felt like I paid for something I for sure could have done at home. They were particularly busy that day which is probably why no time was spent on me… but still… not nice.

I am there loyal customer for more then 1year already. All the girls are very experienced. The atmosphere is always friendly. Dina is the best eyebrow shaping master ever and Mansura is the best in gel manicure specialist. :)

I had a facial here, which went better than expected and also a couples massage, which was great, because they charge you the same price as a single but for two. Will be coming back again for both services, which are very affordable, when in need of them since it’s right up the block from me.

I’ve been to Unique Spa 4 times so far (only checked in 3 times tho, sorry Unilocalers!)
Now, every new place anyone goes to, has positives and negatives. Let’s be for real here people, go with the flow.
There are 2 ladies that perform the treatments. They are both excellent. Funny enough, one I like her facials better and the other I like her scrubs/​body Mask technique better. (Shrugs shoulders) either way I’m Happy!
Sometimes it gets a little hectic, if there are several clients being catered to (it’s a small place) … of course we all want to be the only one around. … the towels could be softer. .
The only Real issue I have is that there isn’t an envelope to tip the Spa girl after you pay at the register. … so I gave the tip money to the Nail Lady! .
I will continue to go to Unique Spa for all of my skin treatments, thank you Ladies!

For the price that you pay, which is way cheaper than anyone or anything else, this place is the best. They will honor deal prices for ever, if you continue to get the service regularly. Yes, it’s a bit rough around the edges, but the employees are great when you get to know them. I don’t know how many times I have rescheduled or missed appointments, and they are always accommodating.
I’ve come back here at least once a month for the past year, since my first appointment.

Horrible place to go!
I went there once to color my hair. First of all, the hair stylist was late for the appointment. She never offered me to choose the color, but said she’s gonna do me the same color as I had. Although, I wanted something different. So I made her bring me the book and showed the color I wanted.
Well, I believe the hair «specialist» decided I need another color — not the one I picked and not the one my hair was — not even close! In fact, the new color was DISGUSTING!!! I was about to cry! I told the hair stylist that it was all wrong and looking awful and that she had too do soething about it. SHe did another procesing for me. I was upset because my hair had to go under 2 coloring processes at 1 time. I was so disappointed and wanted to get out from there as soon as possible before those spa specialist did somethig horrible for me again.
After all, the owner of the spa (Marina, I believe) said that I had to pay for both proceedings as it was my fault that I didn’t like the first color result.
My experience: never go there for any procedures even for free! I think the positive reviews that they have are the ones that they wrote themselves. Do believe in negative experience of mine and other people!!!

I opted for the Groupon treatment of scrub, wrap, and facial. I also decided to tack on a hot stone massage for $ 85. When I showed up for my appointment, I was asked politely to sit and wait. Without introduction the massage therapist took me downstairs and gave me a very brisk scrub… I’m not sure if that’s just the spa’s style… or if the lady was just in a hurry. She then slathered me in icky smelling mud. (I don’t mean icky as in earthy or mud-smelling…but a very chemical scent) I was then enclosed in” the pod” for 30 minutes where I was wrapped in plastic and relaxed.
I had the sneaking suspicion that my massage therapist didn’t know very much English, because she kept saying «Welcome, welcome» after whatever I said. The sauna was a nice touch… though I must say I’d rather have towels to use without holes. The place didn’t look very dirty, but the lights were dim.
My biggest issue was with the $ 85, hour-​long, hot stone massage. The lady kept leaving, and only used the stones for a portion of the massage. My request for harder pressure on my back and shoulders fell on deaf ears… maybe the language barrier again? The therapist just ran her hands over me more than massaging. The massage was basically a waste of money, in my eyes, because my muscles were still sore and felt no difference when I left.
After the massage was the facial, which seemed rushed and did not include extractions.
There was also an issue where I was told I could not tip on a credit card, even though I paid with one, and there was a bit of awkwardness where I had to run out to the ATM for tipping purposes.
Perhaps Groupon users are treated differently here, I would not return to Unique Salon & Day Spa.
