Urban Arborists is a leading, knowledge-​driven tree care firm serving the tristate area. We are uniquely skilled in pruning, removals, plant health care, diagnosis and treatment, tree risk assessment, tree survey, woody plant design, and tree selection and planting. Our clients include The New York City Dept. of Parks and Recreation, Madison Square Park Conservancy, Uniion Square Park COnservancy, Battery Park Conservancy, the Cathedral of St. John the DIvine, numerous block assosiations and business improvement districts, and thousands of individuals.

History

Established in 1992.

Urban Arborists was founded 20 years ago to care for urban trees. The trees in our cities are often the city dweller’s closest relationship to nature. They are precious not just for the «ecosystem benefits» that they provide, but because they are companions who remind us where we come from and where we are going. Their survival, health and safety are of prime importance.

Meet the Manager

William L.

Manager

WIlliam Logan founded and is president of Urban Arborists. He is also the author of three books, DIRT, OAK, and AIR, all published by WW Norton. He received the 2012 True Professional of Arboriculture award from the International Societh of Arboriculture, and a 2011 Senior Scholar Award from New York State Arborists. He is on the faculty of the New York Botanical Garden.
