Troy S.

Business Owner

Troy Samaroo has been a force in the Hair industry for over 30 years. He found his calling and passion for hair styling as a teenager, trained at the Vidal Sassoon Academy in London, and in 1997 he joined forces with Aveda to establish the Il Camelion Aveda Concept Salon & Spa in Park Slope Brooklyn.

Troy’s latest creation Zade SalonSpa was founded in 2015 with a much bigger goal in mind. While helping to create a peaceful earth and friendly environment, Troy is committed to creating new ways of giving back to society by volunteering his services and a portion of the SalonSpa’s proceeds to Gilda’s Club NYC, in an effort to support, educate and empower cancer patients and their families.

I have been a client of Troy for years! He is the only hair stylist I trust completely with my hair. He is extremely knowledgeable about his craft, uses great products and is very professional. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

I have short curly hair and have had a wide range of styles over the years. Now I have short hair and I went to Troy recently for a shape up. He was very thoughtful about making sure he knew what I wanted and was also very clear about what he thought would work with my curls and current length. He gave me a great haircut, and I’ve gotten a ton of compliments.
The salon is super comfortable and easy to get to. Also, Troy’s ADORABLE dog Tres was there. Tres is very good company.

I’ve been going to Troy for coloring for over a year now. My moms been going to him for years so when I finally decided to color my hair for the first time, I went to him. He recommended balayage for my hair which I love. It looks great, brightens my whole look and does not give me roots! Highly recommend! Beautiful salon too!
