I’m really disappointed, I set up an appointment, and Steve did not show up. I scheduled my whole day around the appointment since it was an awkward spot in the middle of the day (which he picked). Steve called 15 minutes before the appointment, and because I missed the call, he decided to cancel. I think this is unprofessional and would not trust this contractor to keep their commitments.

Steve and his team did a great job painting our home. They completed the paint job when they said they would and the price was what Steve had quoted us. We got a few other quotes beforehand and his came in the middle — not the cheapest but not the most expensive. Overall he kept his word regarding timing and price and I would use him for future remodeling jobs. We recommended him to our friends and they ended up using him for their remodeling job and they told us they liked his work.

I’m an independent Interior Designer and have had the pleasure of working with Steve and his crew on a few projects. Steve is very personable as well as professional. Not only that, he attains a vast knowledge of all aspects of the business. The crew is efficient and does a good job.
If for some reason you face a bump along the way, Steve is extremely open to hearing you out to make things right. In this line of work, that says a great deal!
I will continue to introduce and recommend him to my clients’.

Steve, Sam, and their team did great job on our remodeling project. They gave us a good deal on remodeling our kitchen and painting the house. I had a little concern about everything getting done on time as our move-​in date was set, however they finished everything on time.

Steve and his guys are amazing… They gave us a great deal on removing our popcorn ceiling and installing lights. The job was done in 3 days and turned out beautiful. After the project was completed, we had experienced some hiccups… sigh
The problem was that our shower floor tile cracked already and we were flipping out! We again contacted our contractor, and his response time is quick and up to par. He said that he will be willing to send someone out to correct the problem (which is the answer you want to hear). Thank goodness!
Steve, the owner, also acknowledged my Unilocal review and is addressing my concerns (which we totally appreciate)! Thanks Steve.
Therefore, thank you Seven Star, for taking your time and little more pride in your business and addressing your client’s concerns. It was quite a learning experience for all.
Hopefully we do not run into any other concerns/​problems, but if we do, we know that they will be there for us.

A few years ago, my wife and I had a complete home remodel on our hands and were in search of a contractor that would do great work AND be mindful of our budget. After meeting several promising contractors and designers we were referred to Steve and Seven Star Construction by a trusted family friend of ours. First off, after meeting with Steve and going over the proposed project/​the vision, timeline, budget we instantly liked him because of how experienced and knowledgeable he was, but also because of how courteous he was as well. He spent time thoughtfully listening to our dreams for the home, when appropriate provided his professional opinion regarding extraneous costs that may result, budget-​friendly alternatives, updated home designs, etc… He talked to us about realistic budgeting, timelines and expectations while still helping us develop a plan for the home remodel we had dreamed about. After our meeting we were so impressed that we instantly agreed that even if he turned out to be more expensive than other contractors we had met (or would still meet and interview), if we had the money we would go with him. Fortunately for us, his bid ended up being among the most competetive as well! So 3 months later with alot of great communication/​follow-​ups and timely on-​site advice (if we discovered issues in the home, or decided to do more work) the following work was done:
–Flooring (wood laminate, 3 types of bathroom floor tiles and carpet)
–Painting (all interior walls, closets, doors, accent wall, 3 different bedroom color schemes, 3 different bathroom color schemes)
–Electrical (new switches and panels as needed)
–Kitchen (all new appliances, sinks, tile backsplash, quartz countertops, refinish kitchen cabinets and install new handles, relocate existing cabinets, install new matching cabinets, install soft-​close on all drawers and cabinets, installed storage benches, new chandelier (s), partially opened up a wall to create an open feel)
–3 Bathrooms (new toilets, new vanities, new hardware, resized mirrors, new medicine cabinets, new lighting, new fans, opened up a wall (created a pony wall) to expand layout, built a new shower (relocated shower head (s), built bench, shower cubby, installed new shower glass)
The bullet points (above) alone do not do justice to the amount of work and sheer transformation that occurred. Seven Star Construction just did amazing work and finished the project on time and within the budget. If something did not turn out the way we liked, Steve was quick to listen and make the adjustments as requested. His expertise, business practices and character are of the highest caliber and I highly recommend him.

This company remodeled our home’s master bedroom and bathroom. The job was amazing and really transformed the rooms into a luxurious retreat. The kitchen and living room will be next.

I have used 7 star for three major projects at different homes.
1^st project: kitchen renovation, new doors and doorknobs, new stone tile floor.
2^nd project: rental home electrical installation
3^rd project: interior painting, getting rid of ceiling popcorn, removal of exterior door, installation of crown molding.
I trust Seven Star for all my home remodeling. They are always the best price and the owner Steve is always courteous and professional. All projects are finished on time and communication is excellent.
