Comfort Suites Downtown

I like this place, a basic hotel. Had a DVD in the room and loaner movies at the front desk. Front desk people were not stuck up, they were glad to see and assist us. We had a ADA suite, queen bed in one room. Great bathroom with tub and great grab bars all over, thank you. A large living room with a nice pull out. Two 42″ TV, microwave and frig. And a useful counter. The front desk was good in serving us, we needed more towels (up in 5 minutes) we needed a transfer bench for the tub, no problem in 5 minutes. Beds were a pleasure to sleep on. Had good time watching their DVD. Had a free breakfest from 6−10am. Had a good choice of food from cook your own waffles to basic stuff. Bagels, corn flakes, eggs, sausage, or bacon, and hard boiled eggs. Get it yourself and take your time in front of local TV. Free WIFI, o yeah. Pricing was good for being downtown. Had reserved parking spaces in back. And nice and close to the electric tower for NYE. 2^nd year here for that reason.

My boyfriend and I stayed here a few weekends ago. We had his company holiday party to attend so figured we would just kick it here and not have to take a cab all the way back to Williamsville.
We checked in at about 4 – 4:30, the room was huge i must say it was pretty nice and I wasn’t expecting that at all.
The location is great, it’s right in the center of all the good places downtown. If you are from out of town this is a great place to stay.
They offer 3 o’clock check in and noon check out.
Only downfall I had was the cleaning lady walked into the room while we were still there. Kind of annoying but I mean I guess it wasn’t entirely her fault.

This is a quite nice hotel in the heart of the theater district. Room was very nice and front desk folks helpful. BEWARE: Parking is only valet and very limited. We were told to park on the streets since we were planning a 4 AM departure. This was the night of July 4^th, and just down from a police station. Our rear passenger window was smashed and the contents of the SUV looked over but luckily nothing missing. Front desk folks were helpful, but I suggest AVOID this hotel at all costs given the (per the cop who helped us) many bars in the area and plenty of drunks and criminals!

There’s nothing like being excited to see your hotel room and upon inspecting it you find remnants of DNA from the last guest still chilling in the bathtub. It’s pretty disappointing that it went unnoticed by the cleaning staff. What’s even more disappointing is that the super long strands of hair, all over the tub, were one of the first things that I noticed within moments of getting settled.
As you probably already know, each room is set up in suite style, so you have a separate seating area /​living room. The seating area has a small bar which includes a fridge, microwave, sofa, coffee table, DVD player, flat screen and desk with chair. The bedroom has a flat screen tv also. One thing that I really like about this room was that it had a separate seated vanity area which is nice for us ladies who sometimes spend hours in the mirror.
Check-​in here was smooth. The lady and all staff that we encountered were hospitable. Parking is a bit tricky, however you can park with valet for $ 10 or in a parking garage down the block. Valet basically parks the cars in the lot connected to the hotel, so I think it’s worth the $ 10 fee. If you are handicapped, then you can also park in the adjoining lot for free of charge.
Other than the random strands of hair the room was clean. We did notice that the bathroom also smelled like spices. It was really weird and hard to explain, lol.
The best perk about this hotel is the location. It is conveniently located in the downtown Buffalo /​Chippewa area. You can see Shea’s, Town Ballroom and many other prominent locations directly from the hotel. I most likely won’t be staying here again because there are so many other, newer hotels in the area, but it is an okay choice if you can live with the things mentioned.

The best hotel downtown in my opinion. Close to everything; great room, very clean; front staff was very accommodating and polite. Free breakfast was a definite plus. Also street parking close by so you don’t feel weird leaving your car in an unknown neighborhood. Definitely a great deal all around!

We were originally staying at the Hyatt which does not offer free breakfast and their breakfast buffet is overpriced. Being suck in buffalo for over a month, we needed the most bang for the buck and the Comfort Suites offered a reasonable hospital rate.
The hotel rooms are spacious and each room is the same. A suite with a king bed and separate living space with a pull out couch.
The hot breakfast is okay, especially being free. There are several waffle machines which make small and large waffles.
The location is right downtown and close to most things to do in Buffalo. There is valet parking for $ 10 a night and their parking lot is two blocks down the road. That’s the only downfall but most hotels in buffalo do not have a parking lot.

I came to this hotel after seeing a show at the Town Ballroom. I had a ten hour drive and there was already a line when I got to the venue so I didn’t check in or reserve a room before the show. I called the lobby around 11 when the show ended. I was able to catch a drum stick so I waited for the band behind the venue to get it signed. Because of this it wasn’t until around 1am that I moved my car from the lot across the street to the parking garage that the hotel recommends. (The $ 3 lot across the street closes at 4am, and valet ends at 10pm). The hotel was able to quickly get me checked in even with my late arrival. In the past I have stayed at a few hotels that don’t do checkins so late. They also had a nice military discount that I was able to take advantage of as a military spouse.
My room was clean and this was one of the most comfortable beds I have stayed in at a hotel. There was free wifi and the room was very large! The bathroom was clean and well lit. The towels weren’t luxury, but they also didn’t over exfoliate my skin after a shower. The shampoo and conditioner was just okay, nothing worth taking for a later trip. (haha) They had a variety of pillows and two different «textures» so you could find your perfect fit.
Check out was easy. I didn’t see where breakfast was and I had a six hour drive ahead of me, so I opted to just get some food at dunkin doughnuts next door. If I find myself in Buffalo again, I won’t hesitate to make another reservation here.

Our experience was great!!! We were offered a bottle of water upon arrival. The place was super clean, and they had a friendly staff, gym, & big continental breakfast. My boyfriend and I stayed in a comfy king size suite; the bed was awesome, there was plenty of room & two TVs! Water pressure was great too. It’s also attached to a TGIFridays. They could use more parking near their building (the big lot is 2 blocks away).

First, the free breakfast is quite okay. Love the waffle machines. The butter milk biscuits are really good too. Every room is a suite. They layout is a little odd. Two doors to the bathroom but the light switch is outside on the living room side vs the bedroom entrance.
We stayed here two nights and the staff didn’t replace the towels or refill the shampoo/​conditioner.
Parking is not on site although it’s not that far away.

This was my first time staying here and I was pleasantly surprised. The room was a very confortable suite. It had a sitting room with a television, chaise lounge desk/​chair sofa and mini kitchen. Coffee maker fridge, microwave.

Nice bathroom with 2 sets of doors one led to the vanity area which let into the bedroom, the other door led to the sitting room.
Closet with extra blankets, pillows iron & ironig board
The sitting room had double doors with frosted glass that led to the bedroom. Very comfortable king size bed and another television.

While they give you 2 passes to park your car for free in the garage but it’s a block and a half away.
The side of the hotel my room was on was facing the train/​bus. Which is also where all of the clubs are. It was pretty noisy all night but it wasn’t that bad.
I highly recommend this hotel.

Clean and roomy with nice extras. There was the sound of airplanes overhead at times but it was not disturbing. Nice front desk staff. CALL THE HOTEL FOR ACCURATE DIRECTIONS. This is because the «main street» address will confuse your GPS because apparently Buffalo has two main streets. The folks will give you an alternate address to plug into your gps. There is a TGI Fridays in the hotel if you don’t want to go anywhere. There is parking around the corner and down a little bit. If you are a female alone it might make you a teensy bit nervous but the garage itself looks to be staffed by someone ²⁴⁄₇ and the parking is free for hotel guests… at least it is during the week. I don’t know if it is on weekends. The loss of star is for HORRIBLE WIFI that keeps dropping out. If you must do work from the hotel then don’t come here because the wifi remains spotty. Otherwise it’s great because it is a suite which means the kids sleep on the albeit lumpy pull out couch in thriving room while you have a VERY VERY COMFY king bed in the other room.

It’s good and comfortable. But unfortunately the streets are under construction these few months. I used earplugs and it helped a lot.

Great hotel for the price, nice location, large room, and great staff.
We had a few questions for the workers at the front desk about the area and they answered all our questions. They also gave us our group rate for an extra night, which was amazing!
The continental breakfast was one of the best ones I have ever had as well.
The only reason I am giving it 4 stars is because you have to pay $ 10 for parking Fri/​Sat (we found street parking) and that their Wifi is pretty slow.

Really surprised with this hotel. We were on our way to Toronto and decided to spend the night here. They had vacancies available for a really good price! We ended up staying in 2 king bed suites that were interconnected. The rooms, amenities and staff were great. They only problem we noticed was with the bathroom, the shower head wasn’t working properly and the toilet kept on flushing randomly throughout the night. Other than that, it was a great experience. We would definitely stay here again.

Staff nice enough, TIRED hotel. Its the little things, comforters old-​deep maroon and who knows whats been on them and last cleaned, shower head leak, irons dirty the bed is old and saggy.

We stayed overnight for a company party. The hotel is very nice, clean rooms, great staff, breakfast a nice touch and TGIFriday’s on location, so there are many pluses. At breakfast we spoke to a few people who indicated the only drawback was the parking. They charge $ 10 for in/​out on weekends, but guests have to walk to and from the Augsberger ramp, which they indicated was a little unsettling. I’m only posting this because people should know, especially if they are traveling with children.

I now give this hotel 3 stars instead of 4. I stayed here again 2 weeks after my first review and the room was still nice, but I was extremely disappointed with the front desk’s customer service when I brought a problem about the hotel’s wi-​fi to their attention – the signal was weak or non-​existent in my room, and when I could pick up the signal I was unable to log-​on after entering the hotel’s username/​password.
I called the front desk and the guy (I won’t say names) said that I needed to call the wi-​fi customer support line to re-​establish the connection with my room. I had to call to fix the connection? Yep. After a 20 minute phone call the wi-​fi representative (who was very nice) concluded that there was an issue with the hotel’s connection in general, not my room or my computer. The rep said he would have the hotel take care of it. An hour later I still could not connect. I called the front desk again and the guy seemed perturbed that I was checking back about the signal. He asked if I restarted my computer etc, and I told him that the wi-​fi rep already guided me through troubleshooting and that I really needed to connect to the internet so I could get work done. He reluctantly offered to change my room (the hotel was not full, so I am not sure why this was a problem).
This staff member took me to another room where I was again unable to log-​in after entering the username/​password for the network. I said I would just stay in the room I had, that it wasn’t worth moving all my stuff to another room. After all of this, the guy was not apologetic for the hotel’s lack of an internet connection and continued to affirm that it was my problem. For the remainder of my stay (2 nights) I had spotty internet that kept disconnecting. I wouldn’t be as ticked off about the bad internet if the front desk did their job – offer pleasant customer service.

I was surprisingly happy with this hotel. They picked me up from the airport and the driver was really nice. The front desk people were also really nice. The rooms were fairly updated and a huge plus was that they had lots of power plugs. I travel quite a bit and it really bugs me when I have to go behind the TV go plug in my chargers (laptop, phone, tablet, etc).
The price was really cheap and I would have given 5 stars except the arm of the office chair was broken.

For my first experience at a Comfort Suites, I was impressed. I am a native and was always curious on how this hotel is. I only stayed one night bc I had an early appt. the next day but didn’t want to leave.
You get a free bottle of water if you ask for it, free hot breakfast, dvd rentals for the dvd player in your room and a yoga mat w things if you want to work out, there is free coffee downstairs all day long, a key to the elevator which all hotels should implement, enough room in the suite for a family of four without getting in each others way, free business center access, and a complimentary shuttle to and from the airport which is a town car.
I didn’t use the amenities of the hotel so I can’t speak on that but it’s right above a Fridays and walking distance to public transportation and restaurants. I ended up paying 75 on hotwire and the non smoking part is a plus for me so I would definitely stay again.
