Valvoline Instant Oil Change

I’ve always had a good experience at this location and the customer service is great.

It’s Valvoline — easy oil changes for those of us who want things quick and fast. It comes at a price as a convention oil change starts at about $ 39 here. I got a coupon online (and you can usually easily find one) for $ 9 off. Keep in mind for those going to this location: they do not do inspections. I wanted to get an inspection and an oil change all at once, but couldn’t swing it here (the closest location is one on Sheridan & Delaware in Tonawanda where they can do an inspection for you).
Be prepared for upcharges. They will show you a few filters, like the cabin air filter and an engine filter which will likely need changing and will be on «sale for $ 25.» Come prepared ahead of time deciding whether or not you will change these things. They will say things like «It will improve your gas mileage» and «if you don’t change this, your a/​c may break down the line,» etc. Do your research, make up your mind ahead of time and just be prepared for them to try to sell you extra things.
All in all, Valvoline is a decent place for a quick oil change with no prior appointments. This location doesn’t offer inspection, so just take note.

These guys are great! Always friendly and courteous! I’ve been to similar businesses but always end up back here because great customer service is hard to find. Plus they offer free top off on fluids between oil changes.

70 bucks for an oil change?
I may go back to changing my own oil.
At this place:
As with ALL oil change places, they offer you various qualities of oil, each more expensive than the next. When I told them I wanted the cheapest option, they swore up and down that not using the (more expensive) synthetic oil would «negate my warranty.» I knew this was bullshit and told them I only wanted the standard quality of oil, so the guy there produced a document for me to sign stating that I knowingly chose the cheaper oil over the more expensive synthetic brand.
Guess what? I never negated shit. My warranty was completely unharmed.
Then more recently, after waiting in line for 15 minutes, the guy tells me they only carry my particular oil in the synthetic variety and that it’s 70 bucks.
So now they only offer ONE option — the most expensive option. Nice.
