Service was bad and the food average. We have kids and the language and appearance of the servers was not conducive to the location or prices. Half the staff got hit by a sharpie truck with the tattoos everywhere should work at a biker bar. They all cursed. Over an hour for the food to arrive and it was cold. Never again.

Delicious food, great service and great view! I had the grilled chicken salad and their homemade dressing was delicious! We also got the burger, chicken salad, pretzel dog something but everything was really good and we all left happy and full!

Went here for the first time, even though I’m a local to the area. They had the chance to gain a regular customer, but I won’t ever come back. It was the worst service I’ve had in a LONG time. The waitress took forever to take our order, complained to us that her shoes hurt her feet, and never once checked on us again. We had to walk in ourselves and ask for condiments and to pay our bill. When we asked for a cup for our malt vinegar, the waitress sighed and said she would have to bring me one, which she never did. I hate to think this was the hardest problem she had to solve today and couldn’t even complete the task. Needless to say, she received no tip. I can’t remember the last time we left no tip for someone. The food was subpar – fried fish had absolutely no flavor, and the mac and cheese I could make better at home. The salmon BLT was tasty, and the fries were freshly cut. That’s all they have going for them. Live music wasn’t bad and not annoyingly loud like some places though. Tables were too low, so you could not even enjoy the view, so the fact this place is a «waterfront» restaurant is moot. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

This is the best restaurant/bar on Lake Lanier. New owner totally reinvented this location with the bar moved to be between the inside area and the outside covered patio. I can imagine this place gets packed during the middle of the summer, but it was about 50% full today for lunch. The food was surprisingly good. I had the coconut shrimp and my wife had the baked shrimp. Portions were generous and there were a lot of options for sides. I thought the prices were a little low for the location right on the water at a marina. The service was outstanding. Our server came by to check on us frequently. I’m sure service would be a little delayed when they’re slammed. I will frequent The Twisted Oar when I’m on the lake and want to avoid the hundreds of boats near LLI or Port Royale. This is a much more relaxed place to enjoy the lake while getting a bite to eat or enjoying a cocktail(Yes, they have a full bar w/liquor, wine and beer). Also, there were several large flat screen TVs around the inside showing sports. Looking forward to the Fall on the lake and catching some football at The Twisted Oar.

One of our favorite places to eat on the lake. We’re here 3 or 4 times a month. New owner as of this year. My boyfriend loves the salmon blt, and I alternate between the wings, burgers or salads. The potato salad is so good if you like potatoes. The fries are hand peeled. Live music every week and indoor or outdoor seating. Service was slow last week for us which was odd but the waitress apologized and keep us up to date with the order.

The burgers, wings and bbq is pretty delicious! I love that we can walk from the boat to grab some grub! You can bring your own booze to! Hopefully they will get the liqour license soon and add more yummy stuff to the menu. Hard to judge this place when it’s not to its full potential yet. Very nice staff. Everyone is always friendly and the food is prompt. Can’t compare it to Big Creek tho… Two different worlds…

This place sure beats Big Creek Tavern(just down the road) by a long shot! My family and I had lunch here on Father’s day before going on the boat. Our waitress was very attentive even though the patio area was full. Service was fast and our food was delicious! My daughter had the chicken fingers and they were very juicy, as was my husband’s grilled chicken sandwich. I had the BBQ Pork sandwich and fries. The pork had a great smoked flavor and was shredded in big chuncks, you could tell it was fresh. It was a big sandwich and I could only finish half. My other daughter had a caesar salad that was also good. They also have live entertainment on the patio starting in the afternoon on the weekends. There is a large rectangular bar that is half inside and half outside. The outside patio is covered with lots of ceiling fans. And they have dueling pianos and trivia nights during the week. Looks like this place is going to be a very busy spot. I’m thrilled it’s located at our marina! I’m sooo happy there is finally good food on this side of the lake. No more bad food and bad attitudes from Big Creek Tavern. We’ll be spending our money here often!
