Called and made an appt to have Manny check the Check Engine light. Nice clean shop. Very professional atmosphere. Manny is a very personable owner/​mechanic. He’s very knowledgeable and cost is reasonable. 3 ½ hours later, car is fixed and I had the most enjoyable experience.
This place is a gem to have your BMW repair! I now have my favorite shop/​mechanic in town. As long as he’s around, I’m a lifetime customer!

Took my car into Manny, told him my car was under CPO but I believed it was a hose that was leaking. He checked out my car and determined it was a part covered under warranty, called me back, told me the good news and recommended a BMW dealership to take it to. What an honest guy. Great way to earn a customer.

Great place to get work done on your BMW. The savings are significant over going to the dealer for service, and the owner Mannie is very good about talking through everything that needs to be done immediately, and in the future. He is very friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient with his work. His shop is nice too, and very clean!

Manny is the best, and I mean hands down, the BEST BMW specialist I’ve ever had the pleasure to take my 3 series to. No bullcrap, no leading you on, Manny is one of the only people who knows Beemers inside and out.
Probably the nicest most humble and honest mechanic you’ll ever meet, he’s also quick (which is beyond amazing since he’s the only guy there for the moment), and does a bang up job! I have several issues that came inherent with my car as I bought it used and Manny broke down all the necessary services and has made the car feel like brand new every time.
He only uses the best parts for your car and he is so amazingly fair with the price! Keeping in mind that for a high end car you’re looking at non cut rate parts, so you have to expect to pay a bit more, but unlike some places when you take your Beemer to Manny you never feel as if your pocketbook has been raided.
He’s my go to guy now, and Unilocal is the reason I found him, so it’s only fair to pay it it forward to other Unilocal users looking for Beemer specialists. This guy is the real thing. Don’t settle for anything less!

I’m so happy I found Manny at Bavarian Built Motors! I have been traveling to Venice, CA to have my 2008 328i serviced. I really like my BMW mechanic in Venice. It was the travel time to his shop that was not convenient; since I reside in West Hollywood and work in Pasadena.
I found Manny on Unilocal this week. I pulled up at his shop at 8:15 am and was impressed! Manny has a very clean shop and an awesome waiting area. Plus, he has free wi-​fi, for his customers.
I was able to work while he is working on my car. The other nice touches are he offers free coffee or water. I was able to have one my doggies Sinclair with me in my lap too while I was waiting on my car.
Manny did a through check of my car. He had me come in and walk underneath my car, pointed out a few things I will need in the near future. Plus he made me aware of of a few hoses, belts, and tires which needed.
I really like his approach and would highly recommend him to any BMW driver if you own your BMW and your warranty doesn’t apply to your service any longer don’t go to the dealer come and see Manny. Manny worked for BMW for 15 years so you are in great hands!

Manny is my new go-​to guy for all service and repairs on my bimmer. Even when some replacement parts failed, he took the time to replace them right away and fix any other random small problems free of charge. Dude takes pride in his business, and that goes a long way with me.
His BMW knowledge is pretty top notch and his prices are fair, if not better than most shops. These cars can be temperamental but can last forever if you treat them right. Sometimes that gets pricey! Of course, anything is better than taking your car back to the stealership, so definitely check out this place. Will be referring all my bmw-​loving friends to him aswell!

Can’t say anything but the best about Bavarian Built. I have a 2008 BMW 528i and I needed service. Was referred to Bavarian by a friend and I couldn’t be happier. Honest fast and reliable. Manny treated my car like it was his own. Thank you very much for taking car of my car… Definitely my go to spot for all of my future needs.

Manny is the best. I just bought a rare ’99 BMW (only 2500 ever brought to the US) that needed LOTS of help, and Manny went above and beyond to help me get some of the issues sorted out. He’s honest and enthusiastic about what he does, fixed what he said he would fix at the price he said it’d cost, and even went ahead and sorted out some additional minor issues at no extra charge to me.
I can’t recommend Manny or Bavarian Built Motors enough. He is one of the most knowledgeable, honestly, friendly technicians I’ve ever met, and If you’ve got a BMW, I’d recommend him for any and all of your needs. He’s one of the good guys, people. I’m proud to support his business.

Read the Unilocal reviews and decided to give BBM a shot with my 10 year old BMW X-​5. Manny was very friendly and knowledgeable and did what most mechanics don’t do… take you in the garage and shows you through the issues and concerns regarding your car. He didn’t pressure me to do everything at once and could have easily overcharged me for additional brake work that’s not currently needed. Pricing is fair and my car repair was done in the same day. Think I’ve found my «car guy». Thanks Manny.

Trust and Honesty are not usually associated with an auto shop. I’ve been to my fair share of auto shops and never stick around because I always get gauged by prices or trying to be suckered into some type of repair I don’t need.
One day, my car started blowing a smoke like color through the vent when I turned it on. Brought it to three shops in Burbank to get it inspected and quoted. Not only was Bavarian the best priced, but Manny spent the time to break down what happened. He also provided me options to either temporarily or completely fix the issue.
The shop is clean. Service was extremely friendly, fast, and honest. I’ve been a customer for about a year. Needless to say, I finally found a shop I’m going to stick to,

Awesome HONEST service at a great value!
I pretty much hate dealing with auto shops (it’s cliché but it does always seem they try to upcharge and overdo what you really need). But when I needed some work done on my Mercedes ML my friend recommended I come to Bavarian. I was really surprised by how easy it was to deal with them and, best of all, their quotes and turnaround was the best (still had to shop around!).
Overall a great place to get the job done!

I have a 2008 528i and MANNY has been working on my car since I got it. Any service from big to small he has been my go to. I was very excited/​happy to hear that he had opened up his own shop knowing that he was a certified factory trained technician with BMW for many, many years.
MANNY is very meticulous with his work but more importantly he dumbs it down so you truly do understand what is going on and what is needed to fix the problem. He turns something that is usually a nightmare into something that is easy to solve.
The shop is conveniently located and very clean and tidy. The customer service he provides is second-​to-​none!!!

I have a 2005 325ci and a few months ago my front bumper came off (that’s a story in and of itself) anywhoo… I picked up an aftermarket bumper and Manny worked his magic to make it fit and he did the work in ONE day, along with an oil change!!!
Experienced, professional, quality work, great rates, fast and HONEST! He didn’t try to upsell me on service/​parts I didn’t need, etc.

Took in my E60 545i to get a crazy issue w the tranny and an issue with the music cutting off.
The dealer couldn’t figure it out and wanted a lot of money to figure it out.
Manny took it in and told me exactly what was wrong and he was able to clear all the codes and took care of it.
I could tell just by the wording he was using and no hesitation upon just telling him what was wrong, I could tell he was an Ace in the industry. I have found my Beemer expert for life! Lord knows I am never getting rid of my beast!

I have a 2007 BMW 335i. I brought my car to Manny to check out because my car’s cooling fan was extemely loud. He diagnosed my car with needing a water pump and thermostat. He was very courteous and friendly showing me what was needed for my car and cost associated with the fix. His professionalism was off the charts. I took my car back a couple weeks later for Manny to work on in which he was able to finish the repairs in one day. While he had my car he throughly inspected and checked everything else underneath and the engine to give me a thumbs up with a clean bill of health.
I called around to various independant shops around Burbank and Manny was by far the best price with being professional. Also, his garage is immaculant and spotless. I will need brakes soon and will be returning to Manny to work on my car… He used to work at BMW so his factory trained knowledge of the cars is awesome… I am happy to have a local BMW independant shop near by! Friendly, courteous, professional, awesome!

Awesome independent shop with knowledgeable staff! The owner (Manny) took his time to tell me, show me pictures and describe to me as what issues my BMW was having! After giving BBM the green light to complete the repairs needed and services need on my BMW I got it back within a day running just like new when I bought it!

This auto garage opened fairly recently but the fact is that the owner has been a certified BMW mechanic for like ~15+ years. I met the owner (Manny) when I used to take my car to the BMW dealer on the westside to get my car serviced. He ALWAYS did a great job. He was always extremely thorough and always went the extra mile for my car (throwing in extra services and not charging me for it). He would always explain everything that my car needed in a way that I could easily understand. He never talked down to me or talked over my head. And he always gave me options: he would let me know if I needed to perform the service right away or if I could hold off on it. He always gave me his honest professional and technical opinion so that I could make an informed choice about my BMW.
Since he was the best mechanic, I always made my service appointments with him at the BMW dealer.
Then he told me that he was going to open his own shop.
So now I stopped taking my cars to the dealer and only go to Manny at Bavarian Built Motors. Its really hard to find an independent shop you can trust which is why I used to only take my cars to the dealer to get serviced. But of course dealers always charge the most.
Now I have an independent shop that I know has better technical expertise than the dealer and the pricing is sooooo much better.
Manny specializes in BMW but can work on any kind of car. Ive taken my Mercedes and BMW (of course) to him. He has done everything from simple things like brakes, alignment, oil change, transmission flush, etc.
…to the more complicated things like trouble shoot why my window wont go up or down, or why my car makes a funny rattling/​vibrating noise when i accelerate, or why my engine performance is soooo bad, or why my gas mileage started to decrease, etc.
YES — he fixed all those issues. If it werent for him I probably would go back to driving a Toyota that has less problems.
He can troubleshoot anything (electrical or mechanical or software related) and he does it so much faster than anyone else… which also equates to cheaper!
By the way. surprisingly he also does some body and cosmetic work… replaced my cracked windshield and removed that paint from my bumper when i accidentally hit the side of my house.
Oh…and the free coffee and TV in the lounge at Bavarian Built Motors is awesome!
