Fantastic Mexican restaurant. The refried beans were wonderful, the salsa was both hot and flavorful and my relleno and enchilada were both exactly what I was looking for. I highly recommend it if you are in the area.

First time being in this restaurant. Tried their sea food borritos. It’s surprising good. The fish and shrimp in the borritos were perfectly cooked. And seasoning g well. If you tired of regular taco/borritos, give this dish a try. Food took a little longer to get to me but the service was nice.

I’m very picky with Mexican food. First time here and definitely coming back! Delicious Mexican food and inviting atmosphere. We met the owner and made us feel welcomed.

Amazing authentic Mexican food across from Warner Brothers. Drove past for years thinking it was a takeout place. Instead surprised by its décor and that it was done in as well. Normally avoid Mexican food for fat content etc. This place everything was made from scratch. Owner extremely nice. Worth a visit really reasonably priced.

Quaint little Mexican restaurant directly across from the studios on W. Olive. Very reasonably priced. Yummy too! Very nice and helpful people run it. Even has a small outdoor eating area. Parking limited during weekdays(plus restaurant very busy before 3 pm with studio and bank people). After 3 pm, and on weekends, parking can be found at corner side street a few steps away or at closed bank next door. Will definitely be back! A real find! Note restaurant closes at 8 pm, even on Saturday.

It is not always easy to find great Mexican food in Los Angeles, it really depends where you are. In this area(Burbank/East Valley) i know of no better example than El Carpintero. Its a simple, single family run place with excellent, authentic food made 100% from scratch. Im almost 40, been in CA since 83. this is what most Mexican restaurants were like 20 – 30 years ago. Not too easy to find them now(again depending on location, its true there are more in other parts of town). the valley is sadly lacking but we have El Carp. very good chile rellenos, taquitos, breakfast, pretty much the standard choices you often see but made very fresh. Great spicy salsa. The heat level varies but its usually a strong medium, sometimes a little hotter. Oh also its a comfortable place and they’re super friendly.

Good crunchy tacos and chile relleno. Thought the chips, salsa, beans and rice were all tasty. Waiter recommended the cheese enchilada at my request and found it okay, wanted a little more flavor. Very happy with the quality of all the food and helpful, friendly, efficient service!

I had lunch here today because I was craving spicy chips and salsa, and I wanted to go someplace right in my own neighborhood. This place hit the spot! Yum, their salsa has just the perfect kick to it. I will cave this for sure. I also ordered a cheese enchilada w/rice and beans. It was scrumptious! I’m glad I didn’t order too much, because I got really full on their generous chips and salsa. And the beans! with a little melted cheese on them, is one of the yummiest bites I’ve had in a long time. It’s served with perfectly seasoned rice. I’ll be back for sure to try more of their delicious flavors. I’ve come here a few times before and the food is consistently delish. This place is right across the street from Warner Bros. in Burbank. It’s a very cute, old school Mexican place. It has a nice, cozy atmosphere, with a very friendly owner, and wonderful wait staff. Check it out! You will be happy like I am right now. The parking can be tricky, but I got lucky today with ample parking available right next to the«Starlet» apartments. This is such a cute cozy corner of Burbank. This would be a great date spot for a romantic date.

I have been coming here since they opened and I must say I love the food here! It’s authentic Mexican which is hard to find in these neck of the woods. My favorite is the chili rellenos! Not too eggy and a perfect amount of melted cheese. The salsa is spicy and perfect. It’s been years and I still love coming here! Thanks hector for an amazing restaurant!

This place has excellent food! Their guacamole is seriously some of the best I’ve EVER had. The shredded beef flautas as amazing! Chips are homemade & fresh, great salsa & my shredded beef chimichanga was SO good!!! Parking was limited but so worth the hunt. Definitely will be back!

Got food here to-go while waiting in line for a Big Bang Theory taping. Chose this place as it was really close to the Warner brothers studio and we could just walk there! I ordered the ham breakfast burrito and the bf ordered the taquitos rice plate. –of the two dishes, I definitely liked the burrito better. But the burrito seemed to be lacking just a little something, seemed kind of bland. Perhaps it’s because I chose ham, it may have had more of a kick with sausage instead –the guacamole that came with the taquitos plate was far from impressive. No chunks at all and probably had more mayo(?) than avocado –taquitos had a nice crunch to them. Rice was just a-okay –house salsa was pretty watery but the flavor was not bad. Had a bit of a kick to it. Pros: –fast service –convenient location. I’m sure they get lots of business from people going to WB –affordable food with generous portions

A-OK. I’ve only gotten the ceviche. It’s good — spicy on its own with the diced jalapenos. Please be advised if you’re heavy with the tapatio like I am(and dont taste food before dousing the hot sauce on…). Let’s just say I cleared out my sinuses the first time round. Ha. Strange location with no parking(try the side street by Ciao Cristina or the Starlet). Price is a bit high for ceviche($ 10). Overall, good place.

Their chips and salsa – BOMB! The chips are so crunchy and the salsa is oh so spicy. Their portions are pretty big, perfect for a pigout-er like me. I’ve only had their carne asada burrito and a carne asada plate, but every time I’ve eaten there, it’s always been delicious! Only thing is there’s only one server, so food doesn’t come out super quick, but it’s definitely worth the wait!

Now for someone like me who enjoys authentic mexican food, they have left me speechless. The spices and taste of their tacos and fajitas are out of this world. Nothing will ever beat hole in the wall joints. I will definately keep coming back for more. Their services were impeccable and our waiter was so sweet. I enjoyed almost everything about this place. Everyone NEEDS to try this place. Thank you!

We were waiting to see The Ellen show and it was suggested that we go here by one of the guards. When we first arrived the restaurant didn’t have any patrons in it so we were a bit worried. Since it was a nice day in LA, we opted to sit outside in the sun. After talking to the waitress we opted for the steak nachos and chicken fajitas and they were delicious! It was enough food to hold is until after the show(we ate around 1130 and were let out around 530). Once we got our food, more people from The Ellen Show tootled over and the restaurant got busier. My main complain was the restroom. It was strange. Each time any of us went to the restroom the toilet seat was up(manner men!) and there was a tiny opening by the window unit where someone could have peaked in while you were using the restroom. If they could remodel the restroom — and maybe have one for women and one for men — then this place would have five stars.
