This was my first professional massage ever. I usually have my sister massage me. Cause I didn’t feel comfortable with the idea of a strange lady touching me. But, not so bad. Will try massages from now on! Interesting experience.
I had a Swedish massage done. I was given a $ 55 rate special for Unilocalers. The massage was a full body massage. You have a choice: you can get butt naked, or leave your undies on. They use a special lotion to massage.
I mentioned I have Fibromyalgia. They were very kind in recommending the Swedish for me instead of the deep tissue. Just in case I had a flare up later. But, I believe I will be more daring next time and try the Deep Tissue.
The room was nice and dark. Very relaxing music playing in background. She started with me laying on my back, she massaged my full body in this position. Then she had me flip over and massaged my full body again. She had various styles of massaging, and it felt great to feel some relief in my whole body.
I am very uptight in my shoulders, upper back, and arms. I think I will need stronger pressure next time. I left still feeling tight in those areas still. Like the knots were not taken out. I need some more aggressiveness. Lol.
Yay the massage world door has been opened for me. After my massage, I was met outside and the masseuse had water for me. I paid with debit and left $ 10 tip.
There were 3 private parking spots upfront. Found the location quite easily. Called ahead and made an appointment. I highly recommend that!

Came here for a Card Reading and met with Michelle (one of the Owners). She is so sweet and welcoming. She took me into a very homey room and we talked a bit so she got to know me a bit better. I got to pick out the card deck I wanted her to read from (she has a good variety) and then she began with the reading.
She really opened up my view of what was going on with my life and what I Could potentially have in my future. Michelle is really good at what she does and can tell that she loves doing this. She even does massages which I hope to get one soon.
Will definitely want to come by more often.

Awesome Brazilian wax by Melissa! She uses Tea Tree wax. It’s very soothing to your skin. I did not get irritation and my skin is really smooth. Like a baby’s bottom. I just recommended my friends. You will truly enjoy her service!!!

My husband and I enjoy getting massages whenever we take a vacation, although we were having a hard time finding a good place to go to locally, until now. Elysium offers a variety of services at affordable prices in a clean and peaceful environment. I appreciate that they have an online scheduling system that’s simple to navigate, and that they are open everyday of the week with extended business hours, since this usually makes it easy to book same or next day appointments. This isn’t the type of spa where you get to lounge around in a robe, but their reasonable rates reflect their modest, yet pleasant establishment.

Had a great message with Michelle! She was nice and knew what she was doing. Felt really relaxed and pain free after the message. The place is really nice too very serene and easy to get to. Overall a great experience.

I took my fiancé here for his birthday. It was his first time getting a massage. Everyone was super friendly. The massages were great! We definitely recommend this place and will be going back. Cheers.

If I could give less than 1 star I would, worse massage I’ve ever gotten! This place is a dump. When I arrived I was greeted with a passive manner, as if they were doing me a favor for servicing me! Then, I was escorted into some awful smelling room but figured «ok maybe they will turn on incense once they start»? they didn’t.
The masseuse came in and greeted me in a very unpleasant tone, then left the room so that I could change but slammed the door so hard it vibrated the walls and a HUGE ROACH RAN ACROSS THE ROOM! I freaked out but figured I’d be on the massage table so it can’t get to me.
As I was about to get on the bed, it looked/​smelled as though the sheets had been used for the last massage. I reassured myself that it’s probably just oil/​cream that doesn’t wash out. I lay on the bed and put my head on the headrest and the smell of mold from the sheets just has me wondering if they leave the sheets in a bin overnight?
The masseuse came in and started the massage but never once asked me if the pressure was too hard or too light (it was almost like a deep tissue and made it very hard to relax). I don’t know what was going on in this person’s head, but once the massage was over, the masseuse simply left the room without notice!
This place is completely unprofessional and just plain disgusting. I would not recommend it to anyone. What I paid for wasn’t worth this dump and you’re better off going to a more expensive place that guarantees a good massage. I didn’t bother letting the person at the front know (owner?) because I know most owners flip when you say something bad about their business, which is why they should have a manager to handle situations so that it doesn’t get personal.
This place is a joke!

I was extremely happy with Elysium as they are very versatile with their services; I’ve had a great deep tissue combo massage by Michelle, most wonderful facial by Melissa, great healing sessions by both Marla and Porche. I have had numerous services done there and I really enjoy going back there for my next pampering experience. I would highly recommend everyone to go for their services as well.

I’ve been looking for a new massage place. My regular massage therapist at an Aveda salon/​spa left because she had a baby. The photos of this place plus the reviews convinced me to give this place a shot. Price wise this place matches with the really nice Aveda salon I used to go to– so I was expecting a lot. I’ve also been to a few of the $ 25 Chinese massage places, which you get what you pay for. I had my massage with Michelle.
When I first walked in– it was a weird vibe. I didn’t receive a hello. I had to say hi first and the lady just pointed to a clipboard and told me to fill it out. It ended up being Michelle who was massaging me. She didn’t ask me for a name or acknowledge that she knew me until later. There’s also a group of employees sitting at a table right outside the seeing through doors to the back and then someone else sitting on the steps texting. Just didn’t seem professional.
I really dislike places that use lotion instead of oil. The only places I’ve been to that use lotion are the cheaper massage places. Lotion is so cold and slimy and I only had this thin bed sheet over me. The lotion was making the sheet stick to me. The lotion smelled like powdery dove lotion even though it was in a lemon massage crème container. As for the massage it mostly felt like lotion was being rubbed on to me, not really a massage. Beforehand I asked for my shoulders and lower back to be concentrated on, but my back felt like a last priority compared to my arms and legs. She never asked if the pressure was ok, I had asked for harder pressure and she said she would do that on my back. The back massage was just so minimal and kind of a long strokes back and forth along with these really light feathery strokes. I’m not sure if it was an off day or something but it honestly was a mediocre massage. Michelle was nice and she didn’t talk during the massage which I prefer.
I got the new client special of the Swedish/​deep tissue combo. It was $ 55 which seems like a good deal. I’m really particular about massages because they aren’t cheap and I don’t splurge often, but honestly this place isn’t worth the price especially if you are paying full price. I can get a high end massage at a spa with thick blankets and nice oils for the same price. I’ve personally had really amazing massages that have been life changing and this wasn’t it. Unfortunately this place isn’t for me– but everyone has their own preferences!

Great massage therapists here. I’ve been massaged by two different people & I had an extraordinary experience both times. They pay a lot of attention to detail here & care about their clients. I’m a dancer & a yoga instructor so getting good body work done is important to me.

Blown away by the service here at Elysium. We had a groupon and made appointments with total ease. The spa is very clean, very stylish. They were accommodating to our specific pain areas. I came in with a cold and my masseuse hit all the right pressure points, the next day i had no sinus pain, my headaches and body aches were completely gone. I should have gone sooner! We will definitely be going back for more massages. Would also like to try some of the other services they offer. If you are buying a massage on groupon, and you are debating which spa to go with, I promise you will not be disappointed with Elysium! Our total experience with them was 5 stars. Thanks so much!

They were having a $ 39/​facial promotion this past weekend, so I decided to give them a try. I had a very pleasant and relaxing experience.
My esthetician was Samantha. She was very gentle and quiet, but made sure to alert me, softly, whenever she was about to put something hot on my face or do something else that might be uncomfortable. I almost fell asleep during the arm and hand massages. I felt very relaxed and rejuvenated afterward. My boyfriend also got a facial from the same esthetician, and his face looked amazing after.
The facial is normally around $ 80 or something, but they said if I booked a follow-​up appointment in 4 weeks, my next one will only be $ 59.

We had Mary and Jenna —
The room I was in was very bright and cold and the windows were open and i had to ask for an extra blanket which they didn’t have — the massage itself with jenna wasn’t terrible but it jus felt like she knew she had a hundred things to get done in 55 minutes so she was going to do them as fast as she could. Not relaxing at all.
My Step mom had Mary… She seemed to have had a worst experience than me– apparently Mary would not stop talking throughout the not at all relaxing massage and kept asking all about the story behind all the tattoos on her body and then abruptly sort of finished and gave her attitude cuz she didn’t want to talk. (my set mother just had someone close to her die– part of the reason wanted her pampered) She absolutely had ended her massage way before mine and apparently when she came out she yelled at the receptionist. Hey, whatever your issue is with the people you work with is maybe say it when there aren’t customers in front of you.
All in all was my groupon worth it? absolutely not.
So much for a relaxing mother daughter start of the weekend.

Received a gift certificate for a 90-​minute hot stone massage from my loving and understanding boyfriend. So I decided to use it while on vacation from work and school to fully appreciate it.
My massage therapist was Linda, who did not chatter too much (only to ask how I was feeling), wasn’t too rough, used stones that didn’t scald my skin, and worked slow and steady. My idea of a perfect massage. The knots and kinks in my shoulders weren’t any match for her; she knead them away without pain or discomfort and I can walk away feeling like a million bucks.

This is my favorite place to go to for massage.
The owners and massage therapists really care about their clients, and listen to what you say when you tell them what is wrong with your back.
I have been lots of other places where I felt they did not care about the underlying muscle pain I have, but this place really pays attention to the details.
They also are fairly priced, not grossly overpriced like other spas.

My boyfriend and I had an amazing Swedish couples massage today with Rachel and Jennifer and we couldn’t be happier!
They have great New Client Specials so I really recommend trying out Elysium.
We both felt incredibly relaxed and comfortable here and want to come again!!!

I had to update my review. Elysium now has a really great, reasonably-​priced membership program. Just set up an easy auto-​pay thing (the monthly charge is less than the regular price) and come in any time in the month to get your massage. Any other massages you get that month are also at the discounted price. They get a guaranteed drop of income and you get a guaranteed discounted massage by a skilled, trained, licensed therapist. It’s pretty much the dictionary definition of win-​win.

I’ve seen John twice for Swedish massages. This is a real massage by a skilled practitioner, and not merely a pleasant rubdown. The place is clean and peaceful. The worst thing I can say about it is that you can hear people in the hallway. Street parking is easy — almost as easy as their excellent online reservation system.
