Matt was quick to respond with an estimate based on my IKEA plan and was incredibly communicative throughout the process. The installers just left. They came at the exact appt time, didn’t even take a lunch break, cleaned up as they worked, adjusted for little hiccups in my measurements and finished completely on time! Beautiful job! I gave them a tip! They said they never get tips… what? Tip them, people, they deserve to get recognized for above and beyond professionalism and great attitude!

I had my Ikea kitchen cabinets installed by David and his assistant Carlos from MJ Larrabee. David is very resourceful and truly an expert in installing Ikea cabinets. In addition to installing my kitchen cabinets, he also corrected any flaws that were in the original plan and finished in minimum length of time producing a perfect and beautiful new kitchen. They arrived on time and covered the work area neatly, and at the end all trash was set aside and any dust they vacuumed before leaving. I highly recommend David to anyone planning to install Ikea cabinets.

If you are buying an IKEA kitchen, do NOT use the nationwide installation company they recommend – go read the Unilocal reviews. These are the guys you want, trust me. Matt and David are former IKEA carpenters who used to install the showrooms you see in the stores, so they know the particulars of IKEA hardware better than most. They showed up on time and got right to work assembling my kitchen cabinets, cutting filler pieces and installing wall brackets to hang the cabinets. Very nice, quiet, hardworking crew that did an excellent job and were happy to perform a couple on-​the-​spot requests that I hadn’t thought of. Finished in one day with time to spare and cleaned everything up afterward. As others have mentioned, there were pieces left over, which they double checked to ensure were «extras» that I could take back to the store for money – about $ 200 worth! I can’t recommend these guys enough.

If you want it done right and quickly there is nobody better than Matt’s team. They are professional and incredibly friendly. They pay attention to the details-​from setup to cleanup.
You won’t be disappointed. I really can’t recommend them enough. Some vendors ask their customers to Unilocal them. Matt NEVER did. It’s a pleasure to write a few words supporting his business.

Last year I remodeled my kitchen with ikea cabinets and used ikea’s installation company. This year I needed to finish the project and complete my laundry room that is adjacent to my kitchen. IKEA would not install cabinets because it was to small of a job. I was surprised and devastated. I decided to look on Unilocal and find an installer. Matt immediately gave me a quote and we set up an install date. He showed up on time and did an excellent job with the install. I couldn’t be happier. I would highly recommend his service.

Great installer! I used Matt to install cabinets in my recreation space. I will definitely call Matt again when I remodel our main kitchen. They were fast, clean, and very professional. I accidentally bought the wrong microwave cabinet and his crew came back out to help me install it without an additional fee. The result is great and I couldn’t be happier.

Matt and his team installed my Ikea kitchen and I am very satisfied with the result. They showed up on time as scheduled and reviewed my plans and measurements before beginning. It turned out that I fudged some measurements and changes were needed, but Matt was able to clearly explain what I needed to return and buy. He also was able to save me some money by returning items that weren’t needed. The finishing touches were what really amazed me. The team made sure that every space and gap was professionally finished. Every drawer and door was square and perfectly aligned. They even installed my custom apron sink.
The team was friendly, courteous, and well dressed. They took every measure to ensure that my home was protected by laying cardboard on the floor and securing with blue tape. At the end of the day, the cleaned and vacuumed the entire kitchen and drawer/​cupboard. They broke down all the cardboad neatly, too.

A few months ago, I decided to completely redo my kitchen by myself and Matt and his crew were a big reason why it was a success. I sent over my plan to Matt two weeks ahead of time and he sent me over an estimate for installation. The crew showed up right on time, worked with incredible efficiency and throughout the process swiftly handled a few unforeseen problems. They finished the entire kitchen in less than a day and actually charged me 20% less than the original estimate. He even agreed to come install an additional piece for free, that IKEA did not include. I will definitely use them again, but with their attention to detail, it’s going to be a very long time before I’ll need them.

The even came back a few weeks later to install some back-​ordered items, and a few doors that came damaged from IKEA. They are extremely organized and professional. Matt Larrabee installed our Ikea kitchen and we could not be more pleased with his work. Matt asked for the plans when we first contacted him and, not only did he give accurate time and cost estimates, he made some suggestions for where we could tweak the plan to eliminate dead space.
When Matt and his crew arrived, they got right to work. With very little talking, they started breaking down boxes, used the boxes to protect my new floors, and started installing. The speed and precision with which they worked was like watching a well-​rehearsed choreographed dance routine. My contractor and his crew who were on site working on another part of the house literally were awestruck.
Here are a few examples of Matt’s excellent workmanship and professionalism. We had an odd-​size double oven that didn’t quite fit the cabinet opening. No problem, Matt customized the drawer underneath and you cannot tell that anything was altered. Filler pieces connecting the cabinets above our coffee bar to a large pantry cabinet are seamless. When they installed a roll front cabinet, it became clear the item was defective. Matt gave me instructions fort the simplest way to get a replacement from Ikea and came back to the house to install it when it arrived, free of charge.
It’s been six months since the installation and all of my cabinets are still rock solid. Doors close square, drawers and pullouts don’t wiggle and the two butcher block counters he installed remain perfectly level.
I absolutely would use Matt again and highly recommend him to others.

Matt just installed our gorgeous new Ikea cabinets and I was thrilled with his service from start to finish — fast response to my emails, all I had to do was send him my kitchen planner design and he knew exactly what to do and gave me an accurate quote.
After we received delivery of the eight million boxes from Ikea I was really glad we had decided to hire someone — I would not have even known where to start! Matt and his guys showed up ready to go and despite several major complications that were not their fault, just rolled with everything and got it all done in one day. And they really worked with our uneven ceiling and walls and made it all look awesome. They were very friendly and sweet and did little extra helpful things for me as well. I would definitely hire them again if I had an Ikea kitchen to install!

When Ikea installers could not schedule in a timely manner I found Matt with Unilocal.He and his son were professional, fast and came in under Ikea’s quote (who even charge for removal of packing material!) I was so glad to have found them. Matt was patient with a small change on one measuring mixup, very easy going. Our kitchen was done in October and loos good.

Outstanding job, excellent IKEA kitchen cabinet installer. We purchased our IKEA cabinets and went with the installer that IKEA provided. After numerous calls to their installer and reading about the poor reviews on Unilocal of the IKEA installer, I called and canceled the IKEA service. I learned with other kitchens to only use an installer who is IKEA certified. IKEA cabinets are built differently than other cabinets and even the way they go together is important that it is done right.
I searched the Internet, Angies List, and Unilocal and came up with Matt. After his measurement of my kitchen using lasers, I was hooked. He talked like he knew what he was doing. He immediately gave me some great ideas and I purchased 8 more cabinets (I had already purchased 18 cabinets from IKEA — I returned the ones that he didn’t use). Since I have done several kitchens, I thought my design was the best it could be, but Matt proved that it could be even better. I was having measurement problems in trying to center an uninstalled window — Matt came up with the best idea and with his laser tools figured out the cabinet measurements perfectly and now the window is exactly between the cabinets (before the window was installed — amazing!)
Matt exceeded my expectations immediately. He arrived promptly and he and one other worked hard, meticulously, and straight through lunch. Matt knows what has to be done and he does it so, so well.
He also hung my range hood. Matt’s rates are very reasonable, in fact, much better than two other bids that I had also got.
I always do heavy research into anything I buy, material or labor. Matt is the best at what he does in Southern California. I have done two other kitchens and he is far superior to their work. I would go with Matt in a heartbeat. I look for quality and not just price.
If you want your IKEA cabinets installed, Matt is your only choice in my opinion.

Matt has installed two extensive sets of cabinets for me on my property, and he has done an awesome job! I feel as if everything is done correctly and no short cuts were taken as Matt’s extensive knowledge of Ikea, their parts, and different dimensions goes a long way when installing such an important part of your home! He’s quick to respond via email, phone, or text and answer any questions you’ll have… and is always good at suggesting something functional and nice when you can’t decide on something. I recommend Matt all the time. DON’T leave your Ikea kitchen or bath up to anyone else (even the crew Ikea is now suggesting to use) as you don’t know what you’ll get! Call a professional, call Matt!

Matt just put together the panels to our IKEA kitchen island (after a do-​it-​yourself job), which require power sawing. And had we known how fast, and beautiful work he does, we would have hired Matt for the whole set up!
After the work it took to set things up on our own, we can confidently say that Matt’s rates are very reasonable.
We found him on google and didn’t easily find him on Unilocal (tag words not quite right maybe?), but we hope that changes.
