Shakey’s Pizza Parlor

So keep in mind it’s Shakey’s so I’m reviewing this on that fact alone.
For a Shakey’s it’s great! I loved the way this one’s tables were set, the staff was polite, the manager I’m assuming? Was really nice, he came in to check on us and he was very friendly. Great guy.
No complaints here. The food came out pretty quick since there wasn’t that many people.
My only complaint is that the booths tend to have like greasy prints on them? Maybe take an extra moment to wipe the booths from greasy hand prints.
But other than great.

Shakeys in Burbank.
I went there for lunch today… and haven’t been there in over 20 years.
The restaurant was clean and wonderfully air conditioned.
The cashier, Brenda, was superb… she was very friendly, fast, and just awesome!
The food was hot, there was plenty everywhere, and it was all fresh.
The tastes immediately took me back to my childhood… Mo-​Jo potatoes and pizza… oh the nostalgia!
Thank you, Shakeys, for giving me a taste of my youth. And cheers to the Burbank location for having someone so terrific in Brenda!

I been meaning to write this review for a while! I had my daughters 4^th bday party here! It was very last minute and I really was not going to do anything big! My guest count was initially 10 and they took my reservation down the week of! Well of course close to the date my guest list nearly doubled! The manager was super accommodating and helpful didn’t have a problem giving me 2 large tables in the front wing! My family was so happy & most of all my daughter said this was the best party so far! I still come to dine here with my family once in awhile! I love the pizza always fresh and the mojos are my favorite! The Burbank location is honestly my favorite! The manager was very kind!

We had dinner there last week with my son’s baseball team. We walked in after a game with hungry 6 year olds. Our pizza was ready fast luckily and our boys were very happy! Thanks to great customer service from Yaradezet!!!

Yesterday I went to Shakey’s around eight or 9 PM it was me my friend and my baby and we ordered a medium pizza with pepperoni Papa Mojoes and chicken the food was great the service was great only problem was that it was freezing in there and it hasn’t been the only time we went in there that it’s freezing in there we weren’t the only people that thought it was really cold the people that were sitting next to us thought it was really cold as well and I think it’s a problem because you can’t even enjoy your food because you’re cold not only that but all three of us got a cold from being in thereI really think they need to lower the temperature because they have to take in consideration that families go in there with children and infants and if it’s always going to be freezing in there you’re going to start losing clientele. and I love this place but if it’s always going to be cold I think I’m gonna have to go to another branch.

The cashier Wendy was very lovely, such a sweet cashier and suggested a great deal for our meal. She went the extra mile to provide exceptional customer service! Will be coming back

We usually never eat in, because it’s so busy. We’ve always order a family meal and it’s more than enough for all of us.
It comes with pizza, chicken, and all time favorite mojos!
It’s always nice and hot by time we get home.
For valentine’s day you could oder a heart pizza! Surprised my parents this year with one.
Customer service is awesome, very friendly staff.

False Advertising!
They have a new pizza called the «New Garlic Shrimp Pizza»
The picture shows an abundance of shrimp. I told my wife «that looks really good!» She agreed. We ordered it. What you get is never what the picture looks like. There was maybe one shrimp per slice, maybe 2 shrimps at the most on a few slices. What a disappointment. So if you order this, just know you are not going to get what looks like plenty o shrimp.
Won’t order this again.

Byrone was our server yesterday and he was so darn attentive, I wish some of the loser waiters on the west side would be more like him. Cough cough, ivy. (I hate ivy and I hate their pizza).

First off great service. Awesome food and atmosphere. Beer was cold and buffet was fully stocked… Big ups to Daniel the manager, we showed up right at 2 and still managed to get the buffet in its full glory. Would come back.

It can get busy at times, but people still manage to get 5 star service. I know what it’s like to deal with demanding people on a daily basis and this crew knows how to manage stressful situations. Love all the friendly crew from this location!
And can’t get enough of those mojos!

The service, quality of food and cleanliness have all declined over the years.
The lunch special is great if you want quick cheap pizza, but brace yourself for an overcrowded dining room filled with screaming children and parents who clearly should have never reproduced.
This place is great to take a group of Soccer kids with underdeveloped palates.
They can rub their greasy fingers all over the arcade and track in mud like the tiny savages they are and no one will call them out on their pint-​sized bullshit.

Almost 7mins on hold. So I call back and I am told to please hold. I respond with «No thank you, you left me on hold for almost 7 mins» her response-​” I’m tending to guest.” What am I? You’re horrible at your job, ask someone to help you. If it takes that long to help people make a decision, you’re costing your boss and the business money. My money is going somewhere else, miss.
Love the pizza, hate the service. I’ve been going to this location with my family since I was a kid. That’s 36yrs. The people working here must be tax write offs.

Shakey’s after all these years is still one of the Best Pizza Around. The Burbank Pizza Parlor is one of the Cleanest I’ve seen. The Staff is Friendly and efficient. Take the trip back to when you were a kid and try Shakey’s again!!!

Came out here for a relatives outing. I haven’t been to a Shakey’s in years. As a kid, I used hang out at Shakey’s to play Paperboy and Rampage and grub on ayce pizza, mojo potatoes, and fried chicken. The best thing here is the fried chicken. It’s lightly battered with the skin on. Decades ago, ayce was $ 5.50. These days it’s something like $ 9 or 10 bucks depending on the day. Pizza here isn’t worth coming for. It’s like cardboard and the sauce is tasteless. The location is on the dirty side especially the restrooms. Thank God there’s handy wipes at the video game area.

Regular, typical Shakey’s pizza. Located on a main street so its not hard to find.
Perfect for kid parties.

Shakey’s is a decent place for their combination of Pizza, Fried Chicken and French Fried Potatoes known as MOJO POTATOES which is what has come to become a cult classic fan favorite.
The Mojo Potatoes outperforms anything on the menu. I’d challenge to say their fried chicken as well is actually better than their pizza compared to their peers, which is odd for a Pizza Parlor.
The Pizza is good, I’d rank my fast food chain pizzerias as follows…
#1 = Round Table — their sauce is zesty and crust is crisp!
#2 = Shakey’s
#3 = Pizza Hut
#4 = Little Caesars
#5 = Papa John’s
#6 = Sbarro’s (not sure if I should even count this since it’s only in malls)
#7 = Dominoes — which isn’t really that bad in truth, and can often be pleasantly surprisingly good since expectations tend to be lower.
I’m not counting the gourmet pizza chains like CPK: California Pizza Kitchen, Blaze, BJ’s, Pizzaria Uno, or Sammy’s Woodfire in this comparison.
So, with that Shakey’s is actually a decent chain option in my opinion, especially when you factor in the fried chicken and the mojo potatoes.
The prices tend to be higher if you walk in the front door. Usually they, like so many others, does aggressive «coupoining» either in the neighborhood circulars (flyers, value packs, newspapers, free standing inserts) or if you subscribe to their online emails for cyber coupons on the internet.
So, my recommendation is to seek out the deals, and maybe be proactive in preparation and just sign up online for their coupon offers. With a coupon the prices are tamer, but without ‘em they seem higher, and just knowing a better offer exists makes you reluctant to want to pay full price.
I think we got a «Medium» PMC (Pizza Mojos and Chicken) which was a combo with 4 pieces of fried chicken and it was around $ 25, feeding 4 people, which isn’t bad, but also isn’t exceptionally cheap either.
The service here was friendly and we called up for «pick up» (to go) ahead of time so it was ready and perfect when we arrived to get it.
Parking is easy here.
