I’ve been working very closely with my real estate agent Bill McQuaid on the sale of my condo and purchase of a house in San Carlos. I’ve had such a great experience with Bill that I wanted to share my feedback.
To give some background, my husband and I had been trying to sell our condo for over a year with no success before we decided to take it off of the market in Sep 2011. Per Bill’s recommendation based on his strong industry knowledge, we placed our condo back on the market in Jan 2012. We received an offer within days! Throughout the process of closing escrow on our condo, Bill has been on top of absolutely everything. Our buyers had problems with receiving their loan and Bill made sure that he handled everything. He stayed on top of every aspect of the process and informed me of what was going on usually multiple times a day!
At the same time, my husband and I were looking for a house to buy. In a span of 3 weeks Bill showed us at least 35 houses! He never seemed like we were bothering him or that anything was too hard for him. When we made a couple of offers, he met up with us late in the evenings after our 2 year old went to bed (after 8pm) to sign papers. He always explained everything thoroughly with us and gave great advice. Throughout the process of purchasing our home, Bill has been in constant contact with the title company, our lender, the seller, their agent etc. Even when his attendance wasn’t required (for example, when I found a house I liked, I took my parents to go see the house again that day), Bill was always there. He never made it seem like we were inconveniencing him in any way.
He really goes above and beyond his normal duties and I have been really impressed. I’ve been really confident in his expertise in this complex market and appreciate how much time and effort he has spent in helping a young couple sell and buy a new home.

We were relocating from Southern California when we purchased our home and Bill provided us with in-​depth advice about what each mid-​Peninsula community had to offer as well as information about schools in each city. Let me say, Bill’s knowledge of mid-​Peninsula communities is unsurpassed!
Bill was able to give us the pros and cons of several mid-​Peninsula neighborhoods, including Burlingame, San Mateo, San Carlos, and Hillsborough. We decided that Hillsborough would be our primary focus because of the excellent public schools and larger lot sizes. Bill was then able to give us the pros and cons of each of several neighborhoods within Hillsborough.
Bill provided a very high level of service and guided us through the home buying process with skill, integrity, and patience. His communication skills, responsiveness, expertise and many years of experience were invaluable.
We’re pleased to give Bill our highest recommendation, and we would highly recommend Bill to anyone looking for a mid-​Peninsula home in the Burlingame, San Mateo and Hillsborough areas.
