Polymath has served the math students of the Bay Area for 10 years. Tutoring is available for subjects ranging from arithmetic and algebra through precalculus and SAT preparation to Calculus.

SInce 2011 Polymath has presented the Math Through Technology Program, a short, practical, hands-​on workshop teaching math through the use of graphing software and computer algebra systems. It’s the most efficient way to get from Algebra to Calculus.

Business Owner

Peter Farrell received his B.A. in Mathematics from Merrimack College and joined the Peace Corps to teach math in a community school in Kenya. After teaching in a public school, a private school, a special ed school and a charter school, Peter started Polymath, a math instruction and tutoring business. After spending 10 years helping students ranging from elementary school to university, Peter developed The Fun Calculus Program, a short workshop to introduce the big ideas of Calculus. Now he presents the Math Through Technology Program, a workshop teaching students to use computers to progress from algebra to calculus more quickly and with better understanding.
