Great experience coming here for AP English prep, sat/​act work, and college applications. Kept me on track and really helped me with test prep (good practice problems, helpful tips from tutors). Highly recommended and would not have been able to do it without the help of The Learning Studios.

Christy and Dale were absolutely outstanding! My son, who is an athlete, and needs a bit of academic support, attended The Leaning Studios most of Junior year. It helped him immensely and we were so impressed with his progress, we decided to enroll in the SAT prep course. Money well spent for sure! The staff is kind, patient and very flexible when you need to make schedule changes due to practice/​game schedules. So thankful we found them

I wholeheartedly recommend The Learning Studios. The people there have great experience and great rapport with the students. They offer great advice for college planning, SAT prep, and tutoring for high school courses. I am so glad that I have used their services and wish I had done so sooner.

Christy Frantz is the best resource I could have found for my daughter. We started seeing Christy in the 7^th grade and it is night and day for my girl. The confidence and faith she has found in her own abilities is awe inspiring, Christy did that. What a gift. Now finishing up 9^th grade she would not be as happy and successful if she weren’t seeing Christy on a weekly basis. Christy sees children as the individual learners that they are. She is truly a professional for whom I will be forever grateful. Thank you Learning Studios and Christy!

Short review:
We cannot say enough good things about Christy Frantz and The Learning Studios. Both of our children receive tutoring from various instructors, all of whom are very talented in what they do. Our children have different learning styles and move at different paces. We have been very impressed by how well they accommodate both levels. Our experience with tutoring includes assistance with AP Calculus, AP English, US History, Algebra 2 and ACT/​SAT prep. In addition to tutoring, our older daughter also utilized The Learning Studio’s college planning and support program. Now this program I cannot say enough good things about. Long review:
We had the good fortune of being referred to Christy Frantz by a friend of ours. We originally sought out AP Calculus tutoring and ACT/​SAT prep for our older daughter during her junior year. While receiving help in these areas we learned about the college planning and support program also offered by The Learning Studios. We were so impressed by the level of tutoring our daughter was receiving we felt we should explore this area as well.
If I am being honest I went into the initial meeting thinking we are intelligent people and perfectly capable of handling the college application process on our own. What I learned was that it was not about our ability to manage the details or navigate the process. Instead it was about clearly identifying what our child’s goals were, what school would best align with her goals and what was needed on her part to put her on the path to achieving those goals.
Giving our daughter access to The Learning Studio’s college planning and support program was one of the best things we could have done for her. She may have managed just fine with the counseling provided through her school. However, she lacked the confidence to reach high in terms of where she applied. Christy helped her identify a healthy balance of reach and safety schools, all of which aligned with her goals.
I also believe having access to the stellar English support for essay review was of great benefit. While it was our daughter’s hard work that resulted in acceptance to one of her top/​reach schools, I must also credit The Learning Studios for giving her the confidence and support to put forth the best possible application. The planning and support program also afforded us, as her parents the opportunity to merely support and encourage her, rather than constantly asking, «did you do this and when are going to do that». TLS, along with our daughter managed the entire process. Christy Frantz has been a great partner and I cannot imagine doing it without her. In fact, we won’t, we have already secured this program for our younger child.

The teachers at The Learning Studios are exceptional. What a great way to supplement high school courses. Our daughter really took a stronger interest in studying and Christy helped her enormously with her self confidence. She did very well in her college exams and I think was able to identify her career path more clearly because of the many discussions she had with her caring mentor.

This place is solid. Drew is a terrific tutor. Christy is empathetic and offers great, personalized feedback. She did a great job of helping my son get ready for the college application process. I also really like their cute space, which is decorated like a home. Very cozy.
Only complaint: it’s hard to get to unless you have a car. Wish these guys were closer to downtown San Mateo or Burlingame.

This is the most amazing group of educators we have ever had the opportunity to work with. My daughter has Auditory Processing and has been tutored by a host of tutors through the years, but all have paled in comparison to the tutors at The Learning Studios. Once my daughter started working with Christy, Jessica and Dale, her whole outlook and level of confidence began to shift, having her go from a student who did not completely believe in herself, and who constantly asked for help, to a confident student who boldly took on challenges and worked hard to learn new study skills. In one semester, she went from a struggling student, to confident student who made the honor role, and is boldly on her way to becoming a successful college student!
Many thanks to this crew of educators at The Learning Studios who are dedicated beyond belief and who have no qualms about «calling» out their students when needed, and firmly, but patiently nurturing them to become confident, successful, students who believe in themselves.

The Learning Studios has been an important and most helpful part of our family. Our oldest daughter worked closely with Christ Frantz when taking her SAT’s and then when applying to and getting accepted to an Ivy league school. Christy was an intergral part of the process and helped our family, and our daughter to achieve her dreams, and this last May, our daughter graduated from Columbia University with 2 bachelors degrees, something she could not have done without the confidence Christy helped instill. Our younger daughter has worked with Christy and her staff all through her high school career and aslo utilized he Learning Studios college planning services and will be attending a great colllege in the fall. The Learning Studios has so much to offer any student with any goals, nothing is to big or to small for the compassionate and very enthusiastic team that Chrsity has put together. We honestly feel that The Learning Studios has helped both of our children in ways that are invaluable and we will be forever grateful. There is no need that can’t be met and no child that can’t be encouraged and The Learning Studios is the place to do it. The environment invites growth, and the team is always there with a kind word or helpful idea. The team approach is wonderful and both of our children were forever touched by Christy and her amazing team.
