I’ve been seeing Dr. Milliken since the early 90s, and give him credit for saving most of my natural teeth. I’ve never found that they bill me for any service I didn’t get; and their fees seem to be pretty standard in their profession. My husband goes to Dr. Milliken’s partner, Dr. Consani, and is also happy with their services. Dr. Milliken is very professional, but takes the time to make patients relaxed and comfortable. I haven’t dreaded going to the dentist since I started seeing him, actually. And, you can’t beat a dentist with a good sense of humor, on top of everything else.

I must start by saying that I HATE going to the doctor or the dentist. I’m a bit better about the dentist since I think teeth look good when you smile. Dr. Milliken has the unusual ability to putn me at ease while he makes sure that I keep those teeth that are so precious to me. If you ever need a periodontist feel safe and comfortable seeing dr Milliken.

I have been seeing Dr. Milliken for years, as has my husband. He’s excellent, even coming in on a Sunday to treat my husband. (and did not charge extra beyond the visit charge).Staff is competent and professional also.
As far as I’m concerned the billing is fine, in fact equal or less than my general dentist.

Dr. Milliken is great-​good personality and very helpful when discussing care for your teeth. He is also conservative in his approach, which saves you money and unnecessary work being performed. I was quite pleased with his work and his work ethic!
I took one star off because as someone here also mentioned, their billing practice is a little iffy. I am pretty sure I got billed twice for my initial consult and they would not give me a credit. Also, they did not inform me how much the procedure was going to cost which gave me a bit of sticker shock when I saw the bill.

Several years ago a dentist I think highly of recommended Dr. Milliken for my periodontal work, and I’ve been extremely pleased with his treatment. He and his staff are friendly and very professional.
More important: in many cases (mine included), Dr. Milliken favors a less aggressive treatment for periodontitis: scaling and root planing and antibiotics, rather than the more radical surgery favored by some others. I did some research and have become convinced that this kind of maintenance treatment is far better than slashing away at my gums with a scalpel.
Dr. Milliken practices up in Burlingame, a good distance from my home, but it is well worth the drive to see him. I’m very happy that I’ve finally found a periodontist that I can trust.

Wish I could give him 10 stars!!! I’ve been a patient of Dr. Milliken’s for about 15 years or longer. I was terrified of dental work and pratically hyperventilated going near a dental chair. Dr. Milliken is so kind and gentle. He takes the time to explain everything and answers each and every one of my thousand questions. He tells the funniest stories while he’s working that time flys by and before I know it, I’m done! (Actually, I think I would go just to hear his stories!!) His staff is so personable, very courteous& professional. They always go out of their way to accomodate my scheduling needs and my dental phobias. Would highly recommend to anyone that needs peridontal work — truly, the perfect periodonist!

I also have been a patient of Dr Milliken’s for the last few years. My gum grafts have been near pain free and I love that he explains the procedure as it’s happening. He is friendly, gentle and thorough. I highly recommend Dr Milliken if you need a periodontist!

i have also been going to dr. milliken for my periodontic needs the last few years. he is great! very friendly, and talks you through everything he’s doing, so you’re not feeling like a victim with his mouth open, not knowing what’s going on. he did a gum tissue graft for me a few years ago and it’s still looking pretty good.
dr. milliken is very competent and i would not hesitate to recommend him. his staff is also really nice and helpful, which is a plus!

I’ve been going to Dr. Milliken for several years. I found him after a long search and many terrible dentist experiences. He is absolutely the best! His techniques are almost pain-​free. He explains everything he is doing, everything one can expect in the clearest and most-​accurate terms. He has a good sense of humor and a calm and positive manner. I can’t recommend him highly enough.
