Shama Thai Massage

Went in today for my third massage with Pui and as always it was fantastic. I will sleep well tonight. Feeling relaxed!!!

Best Thai massage I’ve ever had, got really relaxed and the service is great.
Definitely recommend the deep tissue massage and the thai aroma, I’ll definitely go back again to try them all, thanks again Shama.

The space at Shama is very nice. My masseuse was very pleasant and didn’t go easy on me in terms of pressure. They seemed to be quite busy, but that didn’t ruin the ambience at all. Afterwards, they give you tea which is nice.

Luck is a fantastic massage therapist! She does a great balance of relaxation, stretching and deep pressure. I always feel fantastic after the thai massage, but I feel even better the next day.

Absolutely amazing. I can’t believe I forgot to ask my therapist’s name. She was young, but definitely experienced… and I would know because I am a massage therapist.

I had a lovely 60 min session with Marisa. She was very sweet and respectful. She asked me where my problem spots were and I could tell in the session that she gave them special attention. She asked what kind of work I do and was able to figure out more problem spots I had. Wonderful… Thank you.

I went here for foot massage and full body massage few times and I absolutely loved it!

3 days ago I got my first massage here. My massage therapist was Patti. I must say I was impressed on all accounts. This is a newly built and modern establishment. The rooms are clean, tasteful, and very elegant. Patti was extremely skilled at Thai massage and I felt like a million bucks after! Thank you Shama and Patti, keep up the great work!

Sharma, you are the anti-​computer. The force that brings balance verse the dark side when I have battled mercifully all week against the migraine inducing, neck wrecking, posture impairing leader of the Galactic Empire, Dell Vader. Also known as my computer monitor for those of you lost in my poor analogous attempt to infuse this review with a squeeze of Star Wars substance.
It is an unfortunate reality that much of our lives is spent at a desk or in a car. Sitting. Reading. Breaking. Accelerating. Creating. What the hell is a pivot table anyway? All the while our lower backs are loaded with the weight of our upper torsos and are neck is positioned forward leaning like we are sipping from a hallway water fountain. The next thing you know you are 34 going on 64. Your body aches. Your neck is stiff. You find a grey hair in one of your eye brows. You start realizing that the Centrum Silver commercials are talking to you. Just terrible I tell ya.
Then you receive a Thai massage at Sharma. Your body doesn’t ache. Your neck loosens up. Your eye brow color returns and your eye sight miraculously improves. Just kidding. The bottom line is this is a solid investment into your physical well being. I had a 1 hour massage today and I feel like Humpty Dumpty after he was put back together again.
Screw you, Dell Vader.

well I must say, Pui does an excellent job on massages; she definitely knows what she’s doing. it was relaxing yet therapeutic, just what I needed.
so for me, I had an overall good first experience.
on the other hand, however, I’m not quite convinced that her employees are as professional as her.
I tagged along with my mother who, unfortunately, did not have an overall good first experience like me.
she was placed with Marisa as her massager and sad to say, experienced an hour & 20min (not the full hour & a half because she couldn’t tolerate the pain anymore) of inconsistent pressure & lack of genuine physical effort. it was sloppy & rough. she left the place feeling, not only unsatisfied, but sore & tense. that made me want to leave a review.
a massage is supposed to leave you feeling relaxed, is it not? so there’s –5 stars for you Marisa!
my advice — hire employees who are actually dedicated to their job & care about the satisfaction of customers.

Shama is a brilliant addition to the Burlingame community! Facilities are so clean which add to the calm serenity in each treatment room. I have had the pleasure of enjoying several traditional Thai massage and just recently a Thai herbal body and foot massage. The therapists are traditionally trained and are quite responsive to client requests. Love this hidden gem!

Since opening this summer, my wife, my oldest son, and I have had several massage sessions at Shama. In the words of my son, we have experienced ‘the best massage therapy’ in our lives. Unlike most other massage and reflexology techniques, traditional Thai massage is not simply a passive physical activity that offers temporary corporeal relief. When done properly, traditional Thai massage is a true healing therapy for both body and mind. And the outstanding, well trained, traditional Thai masseusses at Shama are truly gifted at healing using traditional Thai massage. Luck has been my masseusse/​healer and surely should be considered a national treasure of Thailand! ;-) Thank you for bringing your amazing traditional Thai massage practice to Burlingame! We look forward to being Shama customers for years to come!

My first time at Shama was amazing. Very close to my house. Massage center is clean and tranquil. I just love being able to get into the comfy massage clothes and laying down in the quiet massage room. I’m definitely going back to Shama for more amazing massages.

I’ve been twice and both times the massage was excellent. This is my new favorite Thai massage place in the peninsula.

I came in with my wife and serious neck pain (correlation not causation) from too much screen time and partying. We were immediately greeted and consulted with the therapists about which treatment would benefit our respective conditions. Since we were new we opted for only 30min. They suggested linger which I thought was an up sell, but after the fact they were definitely right. We had the Thai couples massage — the therapists were clearly extremely well experienced! My neck pain is gone, thank you!

Thai massage has come to Burlingame! I took a tour of this place yesterday and was impressed by how clean and serene it was!
My wife immediately booked their opening special ($ 1/​minute) for the next day. We are looking forward to trying more of their services!
