I gave them two stars as the staff were nice. We went into the store this past weekend to get some gifts and saw they are closing which I think is too bad, but nice that everything was«30%» off. I put 30% in quotes as I feel this is very dishonest and false advertising. At least for the product I was about to buy. A Calico Critters set. I found the same set on my phone at another store and online for the same price they said is the 30% off price. The online price and the other store were not on sale. Not impressed.

Heather and Moira should be recognized for their impeccable customer service and ease in my last minute Christmas shopping. Thanks to them, my experience with Stellbella was so noteworthy that I will be coming back for sure. Happy Holidays to all!

Went here to buy a birthday present for a friend of my daughter. They have much nicer/higher end things then other local toy stores. I thought there was a good selection of stuff for the amount of space they have. The prices are higher then you would pay from a major online retailer, but the service was great and they even wrapped the gifts very nicely for me which saved me money on wrapping paper and time wrapping. I will definitely be returning when looking for birthday gifts. The staff was very nice but not overbearing and let me browse for a while before I made my purchase without making me feel uncomfortable doing so like some stores do.

Well stocked toyshop, with friendly staff and a wide range of toys, activity sets, and similar stuff including what in the UK we’d refer to as pocket money toys. Great for picking up some gifts for the young ‘uns back home.

As a parent of a toy-hungry 8-year old boy, I have spent a ton of time in toy stores, and this is one of the best in the area. The store’s selection of merchandise is impeccable. It is a medium sized store and so they carry a lot of stock but not everything. But they have the best games, the best construction sets, the best arts and crafts products, the best stuffed animals, etc, etc. There is a smattering of more commercial products such as Star Wars and Transformer action figures, but the emphasis is definitely on the«learning» type of toy. As for how the merchandise is presented, the store is densely packed, but not uncomfortable, and is very pleasant to browse. Overall the store is a marvel of organization, There is the outdoor/sports section, the puzzle section, the arts and crafts section, the doll section, etc and they all flow into each other in a very natural and organic way that makes it very easy to help select presents. Also, the store has tons of small little knick knacks laid out nicely in bins and center displays, but somehow they avoid having too much junky stuff of this sort. Perfect for selecting quality stocking stuffers. The people who work there are knowledgable and enthusiastic but dont pounce on you when you want to look around for a while. I saw a woman today dilligently facing all the toys on the shelves when there was a quiet moment. This is quite a difference from many shops where the clerk sullenly remains behind his counter and couldnt care less what is going on with the stock. Finally, the prices are incredibly good for a small toy store on both small and large purchases. The prices on large LEGO and Playmobil sets are competitive with what you would find anywhere — you dont get the usual small-toystore surcharge. I bought a set of Kava blocks for much cheaper than I would find on Amazon which was already sold out. Furthermore, the little trinket presents are VERY low priced — many of them priced under a dollar. At other stores, such as Learning Express, I see the same merchandise priced at 2 – 3 times the cost. All in all, a delightful place to shop for a parent who likes to make sure their child receives high quality toys.

I LOVE this store! Okay I’ve only been inside once but I spent a very long time in there. Too long for what I went in for, honestly haha. It stopped being about my best friend’s niece’s 4th birthday party and an awful lot more about me going«oooh look at this!» *tinkers with something adorable* *gasp* «look how cute!» *hugs a stuffed animal*, «ooh they have Folkmanis puppets!» *tries every single puppet on and makes it talk and laughs to self* Did I mention I was by myself? …yyyeahh… I’m sure this means I have issues. I like to say I’m a kid at heart and never stopped appreciating high quality stuffed animals and creative toys. It was like a simultaneous trip down memory lane and a new adventure in seeing what sorts of new toys little ones have at their disposal these days. It was great! Any time I need a gift for a little one I will certainly remember this store. The girl who was working there the day I went in was super nice and I found out she was just as nuts as me about stuffed animals, so that not only made me feel better about my obsession, but way more okay about buying one for myself in addition to one for my friend’s niece hahaha. so yay!

I work here, so I’m a little biased. But seriously, a really great toy store. Third Stellabella store – the others are in Porter and Inman in Cambridge. One drawback to this location – no books! But Border’s is right next door, so that would be silly to compete. It’s unfortunately in a suburban shopping center, so there’s not as much character and local flavor around this particular store. But if you want a quality toy that won’t pee on you or make loud wailing noises all day, this is THE place to go.
