Specialties
Pig ‘N Whistle At The Grove is the perfect place to meet friends for fun, bring family for memories, and enjoy great food and drinks!
«The Pig» is family-owned and boasts a unique menu with something for everyone to enjoy. We take pride in our delicious Irish specialties like Corned Beef & Cabbage or Shepard’s Pie but guests rave about our American dishes, too! Try our Chicken & Biscuits with tender pulled chicken simmered in gravy with carrots, corns, and peas over a buttermilk biscuit, or the deliciously vegetarian-friendly Portobello Flatbread. Looking to mix Irish and American flavors? How about the Guinness BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich with its smoked pulled pork glazed in a Guinness BBQ sauce topped with Cajun coleslaw and fried shoestring onions. Top your meal off with a drink from our full bar (we recommend one of our excellent draft beers or a taste of our large scotch collection) and enjoy it all inside our historic tavern room or outside on our patio. We’re the place to be all week long with specials like Kids Eat Free on Monday nights, Open Mic Night on Wednesdays, and live music Saturday and Sundays! There’s always something fun and family-friendly happening at Pig ‘N Whistle. Situated along the Alplaus Creek just a short walk away from the beautiful waterfall, our party pavilion is a fantastic location for your next special event.
We look forward to toasting to your health and happiness on your next visit to Pig ‘N Whistle At The Grove!
History
Established in 2012.
The restaurant’s original building was built in 1837 and operated as a grist mill and a cider mill. The area around the fireplace in the tavern room is the original building and speakeasy. In 1931 the federal government raided and padlocked the building! But it was the beautiful location that attracted the Bush family to the property. Since taking on this venture, besides updating the interior, they have more than doubled the size of the patio dining area and installed a large outdoor bar. This area became a popular spot for locals to dine on warm summer evenings, while listening to some of the area’s best musician’s play.
