Tasty and fresh food with fast and friendly service. We’ve eaten here many times over many years and it’s always been great!

Im surprised at all the negative reviews for this place. My husband and I drive 20 miles one way just to get the crab puffs here. This is our favorite Chinese place. We have been here so many times and never been disappointed. We compare all other places to this one.

Absolutely hate this place. It is on boycott in my house. The people that work there are rude, inconsiderate, they don’t listen and the food isn’t all that great. Don’t waste your time with this place!

One word: TERRIBLE! Save your money. Save your time. Save your appetite. Spare you digestive system. We have tried this place twice. Once should have been enough but we believe in second chances. We order 3 fairly common dishes one of those being chicken fried rice. Certainly that’s a dish that can’t be bad. It’s such a common dish. Wrong! It was the worst tasting friend rice I have ever tasted. I could have done better making it in my own kitchen with no recipe, blind folded with my hands tied behind my back. Yes, it was that bad! I will say the egg roll was decent. So if you are looking for a good egg roll and prepackaged fortune cookies, this is your place. For anything else, don’t even stop and contemplate eating here. Wish I could get my money back. :-p

First time I have ever tried this restaurant because I usually go to the little place in Washougal near Washougal hardware store. Thought I would try something new. My mistake. The whole meal was just a big pile of mush. I paid extra for pan fried noodles with the chow mein and they look like they had been thrown up by a package of Top Ramen and never seen a grill. The rice was dark brown for no reason except that it had to be laden with soy sauce to attempt to make it edible. The egg roll was mush. The BBQ pork was dry and tough. The shrimp batter was twice as thick as the dried out shrimp. Never will I go here again. Just awful.

Worst ever Chinese food! Only good things were it was fast and cheap. Sauces had a weird metallic taste, food was lukewarm, everything overly sweet/vinegary. Server didn’t even bother to ask why we had only eaten a few bites and did not want to-go boxes… Clueless service and uninspired food. Never again.

Long story short, go somewhere else. I ordered delivery and paid extra for sweet and sour sauce. After an HOURAND A HALF of waiting, I got bland, tasteless food, which was cold, and two sides of ketchup(seriously?). I called the restaurant to ask for my money back, and the owner refused on the grounds that she«didn’t believe that it was cold» and that it was my fault because the website states that delivery takes at least half an hour. A half hour is not unreasonable. My delivery took 90MINUTES, and my house is 4 miles away from the restaurant! Never wasting money on this place again.

I used to come here when I was younger with my parents most every Sunday afternoon. So my wife and I tried the lunch buffet. I’m sure there are new owners now but it looks, feels, & tastes exactly like I remembered it! I think the furniture is even the same. LoL The food was fresh & good. The staff was very friendly and I still enjoy watching the water fountain in the open garden at the center of the building. Nothing fancy, just some good local Chinese food!

Terrible food and over 2 hours for delivery with absolutely no apologies or reason when asked why it took so long. She told me if I wanted faster service then I should pick up my order myself. Don’t offer delivery if you are going to be assholes about it. Will never again order here.

This was the worst Chinese food I have ever had! The Moo Goo Gai Pan sauce tasted horrible!!! The Sesame chicken was disgusting deep fried chicken with no sauce or vegetables what? We had to throw our whole dinner down the drain. I’m so disgusted.

I made the mistake of trying this place. The smell alone from the lobby should have turned me right around. The service, the food taste, and quality was extremely poor. I have had bad Chinese food before but I couldn’t even finish half of the plate. All the vegetables were straight from the can. Please don’t waste your time nor money here, just not worth it.

My husband and I were craving chinese food and we havent been here for at least a year. We quit going because their food had gone down hill. When I first moved to area in 2006, it was actually really good. We decided to give them one more try. They failed miserably. We at the buffet. The food wasnt even hot. The general taos chicken(which I am a huge fan of) was awful. Sauce tasted like it was out of can. The«chicken» inside of it was half fat. But the kung pao chicken was very good. Just not hot either(temp not spiciness). All in all I was very disappointed. The gals working were very nice as usual.

I moved to the Camas/Washougal area a couple years ago from Vancouver and one thing I really missed was the amount of options for Chinese food so when I discovered this place existed right down the street from our new place I thought I might have just hit the jackpot. Unfortunately I was severely mistaken. The food here might just be the worst Chinese food I’ve ever eaten. It’s bland and fairly tasteless, soggy, slimey and just plain gross! The building looks very old and outdated which isn’t that big of a deal really except that it also seems fairly unclean, even for an older Chinese restaurant. I’ve tried them out several times,(went with some friends, ordered take out, tried out the bar) hoping for a better experience but every time is the same. The only positives are the low wait time,(you won’t have to wait long to get your bad food!) and the bar. As many other reviewers have stated, the bar is VERY divey and dark,(in a good way, if you like that sort of atmosphere). When I ate in the bar I couldn’t really see my food and as Leah N. stated, I think that is probably on purpose! Drinks were good though, strong and priced fairly. If the food was even just slightly better I might actually recommend this to Chinese food lovers living in the Camas/Washougal area but I simply can’t. If you want good, or even decent Chinese food you will have to go to Vancouver or Portland.

I don’t think I have ever actually sat down & ate here. I always order to go. The food has always been really good. I love their Hawaiian chicken, it’s so good & usually what I always order. I’ve been in their bar before to meet friends for a drink. Good, really strong drinks. The inside is a little sketch looking. But I have always had good food, quick, great service!

I ended up here on accident as I thought it was the 4 star in Washougal. I chose poorly. I got takeout so I didn’t know how bad it was until I arrived home. Sweet and Sour Chicken: If you like to have your chicken soggy in a red soup then this is your place. If you prefer to dunk your chicken in the sauce(like most Chinese restaurants) then don’t even think about getting it here! Orange Chicken: See above. I can handle it being tossed in the sauce, but it might as well have been soup. Sesame Chicken: At least they didn’t go overboard on the sauce… wait…there wasn’t any sauce. $ 30 down the drain… literally. To end on a positive note, I waited less than 10 minutes for the food.

We were craving for chinese food late at night and went to this restaurant since it is nearby… First impression… the interior needs updating and their front end clerk wasnt friendly. The food was okay, we thought, but better than what we had around the area.

I was kind of surprised to see this place get such a low rating. My family and I have been going to Chinese Garden ever since we moved to the area in 2001. We take family and friends that visit here all the time and people love it. Our favorite regular entrée dishes are: Happy Family, Sweet and Sour Chicken, Green Bean Beef, Pork Lo Mein and the General Tso’s Chicken(though we get it without the spicy stuff). The vegetables in the dishes are fresh and crispy. The meats are tender and juicy. The staff is always very friendly. We’ve come here so much over the years that several of the wait staff(they don’t have a lot of staff turnover which is nice) remember that I like my ice water with lots of ice and I always like a side of sweet and sour sauce to dip my food in, so they usually bring them without my even having to ask. The food is always fresh and hot and the portions are big. When we go for dinner, we always get our regular entrees, mentioned above, for the three of us. We eat at the restaurant and then take the rest home and get at least two more meals out of it. All for under $ 50. I also like their all-you-can-eat lunch buffet during weekdays. Everything is fresh and they are very vigilant to be sure the food is stocked up. They don’t make big batches of the foods at one time, so it seems like they are constantly bringing fresh stuff out. If you want anything refilled you just have to ask. It’s not a very big buffet, but it seems to have most everyone’s favorites. All you want for under $ 7 a person. The décor is old and boring, but the place is clean.

Like others I hat eto give bad reviews, but the public deserves an honest review. I had high hopes when walking in to this restaurant. I love all types of Chinese food, mom and pop places, fusion, chains, delivery, homemade. But the food here was far from appetizing or almost edible. The shrimp had not even had the veins removed. I wish there was a rebound on the service side. Yes, everyone was friendly, but it was hard to get service, drinks, and the bill. I’m usually one to give a place a second chance, but not in this case.

It is nice to have a non-crowded chinese restaurant every now and then. This place is pretty big with a very old building feel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I have been here quite often recently and there has never been a wait with maybe 6 other groups already seated. I enjoy a quiet dinner sometimes! The portions are huge and the prices are good for the most part. Plus there is a wide selection on the menu. Sodas are semi-expensive with only one free refill! At least the hot tea comes with the combos! I normally always get the sweet and sour chicken or the cashew chicken combo. They haven’t let me down yet with those meals. The people I have gone with had some iffy experience with their food though. It seems like it was hit or miss though. I guess just be prepared if you ever come here! I guess I dont have any huge complaint for the 1 of 2 chinese restaurants of Washougal!(= I just seem to have had better chinese food at other places…
