Our practice opened within the East Vancouver Costco in late 2010. We have steadily grown since then thanks to our loyal patients that appreciate our quality eyecare at a reasonable price.

Business Owner

A Northwest native from Hillsboro, Oregon, Dr. Scott Lewis attended Pacific University for both under graduate and optometry studies where he also played NAIA collegiate baseball. Dr Lewis was a member of Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society and received his Doctor of Optometry degree with honors in 2000. Having practiced optometry in the Northwest for over 16 years, Dr. Lewis is excited to be practicing within the East Vancouver Camas Costco.

We are proud to work closely with and adjacent to Costco Optical, but we are a separate, independent Optometric practice. Because our office is independent from Costco, you don’t need to be a Costco member in order to have an exam. When you get to the entrance of Costco, just tell them you are here to see the Optometrist and they will let you inside. We look forward to having you as a patient!

I received better, faster, state of the art, and more affordable eye care from Dr. Lewis and the Costco team than any other eye care clinic I have been to. I wasn’t sure what to expect with the clinic being in Costco, but my expectations were exceeded! I would highly recommend going here to anyone I know and I look forward to sticking with Dr. Lewis for my future eye care needs.

I had my first appointment with Dr. Lewis just yesterday. It was a great experience! Dr. Lewis was patient and explained all my options after my initial examination. He was detailed in explaining what I was and was not a good candidate for based on my examination and life style. One surprising new twist was the The Optomap Retinal Exam. I’ve always had my eyes dilated with traditional drops leaving my eyes «blurred» and uncomfortable for 4 – 6 hours. This is a non-​dilating camera that captures a digital image of the retina. Not only non-​invasive, quick and easy it allowed Dr. Lewis to capture images of what’s going on behind my eye but also share with me. Excused the pun, but it was «Eye Opening» :) Thank you Dr. Lewis for a great experience!

I have been taking my elderly parents to see Dr. Lewis since 2011, and I cannot say enough positive things about him. He is very patient and customer focused, takes him time to explain all relevant details to the patient, and listens carefully in order to assess needs. He also did a free follow up appointment to try and figure what is wrong with my mom’s new glasses when she had issues adjusting to her new pair. I always have to translate a little for my parents throughout the exams and his patience and level of care are outstanding. Thank you Dr. Lewis and Costco for affordable and excellent service.

Dr Lewis is by far superior to any ophthalmologist in this area. Don’t think for a minute think that you will be getting a better eye exam by going to an MD. That just means they can do surgery. Dr Lewis is experienced and so willing to take the time to ensure you have the appropriate exam I would never go anywhere else.

I had an enlightening visit for my eye exam with Dr. Lewis. Instead of having my eyes dilated, they offered a digital X-​ray which expresses itself not unlike iridology! I was, or I should say we were able to see any blood clots, tumors, or other abnormalities with this amazing photo. These findings could help identify we’re there may be disease elsewhere in the body. Fortunately, my eyes were completely healthy. I know I’m forgetting other important findings with this exam, but I also know it left a lasting impression and a huge step forward from having the eyes dilated!

I have been wearing glasses or contacts for almost 50 years. I’ve had multiple experiences with different ODs and Scott Lewis is one of the best. He has modern equipment, he takes time to explain what’s happening, and he LISTENS to his patients. All this and his pricing is very reasonable. One of the best!

Having Dr. Lewis exam my eyes was a pleasure from making the appointment to the end of the procedure. A big change from my experience with the other Costco in our area, so I have NO problem driving several miles more.
Dr. Lewis listened and paid attention to specifics of my eye care needs, and his dialogue with me reflected that at every step. He is pleasant, friendly and completely professional. I felt like he gave me the best exam I’ve had in years.
The office is bright, clean, efficiently laid out and has state-​of-​the-​art equipment. Even though I’m a «mature» person, I like knowing that the healthcare professionals I work with keep up to date. Even his prescription forms are easier to read and well formatted. I forgot one and they sent it to me via email — yippee! I give this guy and his staff 5 WhooHoo’s … :-)

Had been meaning to get by for a eye exam and kept putting it off. I went into Dr. Lewis’ office and they squeezed me in right then. The efficient staff ran me through the new machines with little effort explaining to me what we were doing alone the way. Painless! The Doc saw me right away and also gave me an explanation on what he was doing and why. The new equipment they have is assume and will insure we catch any problems earlier then the old way my past eye doctor was using. Great staff, modern office and exam equipment and a wonderful caring Doctor! The price is right as well!
