I’m smacking my lips, that’s how yummy lunch was today! I got here before the crowds, so I was able to get full attention of the cashier. I asked if any of her food was vegan and as it turns out, the tofu is vegan! I got it with rice noodles(rice would have been the other option, as the banh mi bread is not vegan) and the whole meal came to $ 6.50. The tofu came in a slightly spicy sauce, on top of the rice noodles, shredded fresh carrots and mixed lettuce. They also sprinkled some fried onions on top — tasty! I’m very pleased with this new food option in the Kendall Sq area! Now if they could come up with a vegan bread!!! I’m a sucker for banh mi, so I’d be all for it :)

Their version of banh mi is mushy carrots, wilted lifeless lettuce, and inedibly salty pork on a soggy roll for $ 7. Nothing crunchy, no herbs, and no flavor except salt. Like so salty it made my mouth hurt. Literally inedible. You can’t screw up something so simple and expect me to ever go back.

The quality was never spectacular, but for $ 5, you got a good amount of food and the line moved efficiently, so it was a convenient place to get a fast, not too pricy lunch. I got there today to discover that prices have been increased($ 7 for pork) and the bahn mi lightened(as described in other reviews). Not worth the money. I don’t understand why these food trucks are now charging brick-and-mortar prices when they have none of the overhead and offer none of the amenities(temperature control, seating, bathrooms, etc). Between these people and Clover jacking up their prices, consider me a person who will never again leave her lunch at home.

Just enjoyed my first momogoose experience and I am hooked! I had the bbq chicken salad bowl and I am already thinking about when I can return for more this week. In addition to the tasty food, the staff was very kind, efficient, and accommodating. I really appreciated that they took the time to verify which dishes were soy-free so that I could enjoy their food worry-free! Great job, momogoose!

This place used to be AWESOME. 5 dollars for a lot of yummy food. Recently I’ve received the wrong order twice(even after I repeated it) and I wasn’t even given the chance to say I wanted brown rice. By the time I opened the container I was too far away(and it was too cold) to walk back. The quality has definitely changed in the last year and prices have gone up. Less meat, worse quality and smaller portions. I used to not be able to finish everything in one sitting. I’m all done with this place. I must say that Clover has stolen me away… and I LOVE meat. So that’s saying something.

The quality really has gone downhill. It’s freezing out today and no other truck was out — and lines at Chipotle, Clover, and Sebastian’s were ridiculously long. So I figured why not, at least Momogoose’s tofu phở is good, right? Wrong! No! It’s not anymore! They changed the way they make it. It used to have a bunch of different vegetables, tofu, noodles, and a really well flavored broth — and was completely vegetarian. Now — now it’s so much worse. Noodles, some large chunks of tofu, and broccoli. One tiny slice of carrot. Weird floaty things that taste fishy to me(if someone could identify it and tell me if its veg or not, that would be much appreciated). The broth tastes flat. I couldn’t even finish half of it! Total waste of $ 5, I should stick to Jose’s or literally any other place in Kendall. Awful. Their tofu dishes already turned terrible and now their phở is too.

The food here is very, very good. Both in terms of taste and«healthiness». Undoubtedly. The service however is a completely different story. The lady behind the counter seems to be most concerned with saying«next please» than paying attention to what is being ordered by the current customer and how much he/she is being charged. Which brings us to my biggest gripe, or the reason why a place with great tasting, healthy food deserves two stars. BUYERBEWARE! Few weeks back the truck changed its menu and segmented it into Tofu and meat items. The tofu items are supposed to cost $ 5(according to the price list) but«inadvertently» they continue to charge $ 6 for them, the price reserved for meat items. As a result of you’re purchasing a tofu item I recommend requesting an email receipt through the Square terminal that they use and make sure you haven’t been overcharged. Happened twice to me, within a span of 3 weeks.

Used to be great. Now not so much. Prices increased and they changed their recipes. Banh mi now has lettuce, no hot peppers, no cilantro, and no spicy mayo. Can’t just throw in carrots+baguette and call it banh mi

This is a review for the truck at Kendall square only. This place used to be a favorite of mine, but in the last 18 months the food has suffered. Some things like the phở are still good, but it feels like they’re trying to cut corners by skimping on the meat, and the prices have increased. Always check your order before you leave as they get mine wrong 2 out of every 5 times. You can sense the tension there is between the people working in the truck, I’ve witnessed them arguing in front of customers on occasion, which doesn’t give the customers a good impression.

Prices are increased today by a dollar on each item in the menu. That’s an increase of 16−20%. Sharp, ain’t it? Not completely unjustified given how disastrous Chipotle at Kendall is(and also costly) or the prices of nearby other food trucks. Also they might have something called too much demand. I have seen queue of 100 people around 12pm regularly. But it changes the decision for me. I would much prefer a pound of salad for lunch at the same price($ 6) than this chicken-replaced-by-potato bowls. A pound salad is more nutritious, more calorific than this. You lost a regular customer.

Gross! Super quick but gross. Food was cold, i asked for bbq chicken and I got bbq potatoes with a few chunks of chicken in it. I’ll never go back.

It’s $ 5. Which is all that is positive about this place. The food is really shitty and doesn’t taste great. Most of it feels like it’s microwaved. I go there occasionally when I feel the accumulated weight of my student loans on my shoulder.

The last time I got food from this food truck, the experience I got was bad… Food was placed in scattered fashion and it looks really dirty for some reason. The truck itself also needs to be sanitized in my opinion.

I used to really love Momogoose… But lately their food and service have been pretty dismal. They used to give good portions(lots of protein), but have obviously decided that splicing their protein with potato is a cost saver. So instead of bulgogi beef or korean bbq chicken you mostly get bulgogi potato and korean bbq potato. I don’t really want a meal of potato on rice/noodles, with a tiny sprinkling of protein. And their service has gotten worse — now if you order«extra protein» odds are you won’t get it. You might not even get brown rice if you ask for it. Sad, used to be a great lunch option.

I promise you this, their tofu phở is the best $ 5 you will ever spend in Kendall Square at lunch. The service is immediate, the flavor and portion size(for the price) is amazing, and their menu selection is pretty schweet. Definitely take advantage of their spicy sauces and peanut sauces if you are a sauce-o-phile like I am. Don’t know why people go to places like Cozi and Panera when they can have this option instead.

Can the staff be any less friendly and engaged in their own silly conversations! The guy who is there most days — clean your nose and be pleasant. You are serving food — for crying out loud. Or that ravioli which is thick, doughy feels like it is filled your boogers.

I’m definitely a fan of this place. Of course having it close to my workplace helps. I’m hooked on their soups. Not all of them though. I came out there late one afternoon and they only had some sort of chicken soup left and it was very boring and kinda blah. Not sure which one it was but I will not order it again. My fav is the bbq chicken noodle with a little Phở sauce. OMG! And I eat my soup with chopsticks cuz I am bad*ss baby! Don’t let the long lines fool you. It’s quick! And it’s 5 bucks! What else do you need?

Momogoose is cheap, it fills you up, but it won’t be anything mind blowing. The line is always super long, especially around 12:30. It moves fast though so prepare to have your order ready or else you’ll get an evil stare from the regulars(just kidding, maybe.) Everything is premade and then put together once you place your order. They sell out of a lot of the popular items like the Ga Nuong during busy days, so if you want that come early. The main staples are the Ga Nuong and the Korean BBQ Chicken, but I think the ramen noodles taste better(try the BBQ Chicken or the Tofu). The daily specials are also great. My favorites are the Red Curry, Viet Yellow Curry, and the Massaman Curry. You can choose brown rice for the same price, so why not? The brown rice is actually excellent and maintains a nice texture even if it’s sitting there. I’m by no means a vegetarian, but I usually lean towards the tofu. It’s thickly cut(unlike Bön Me’s tofu) and tastes better than the chicken which is sometimes dry. I’ve ventured out of my main staples(ramen or the daily special), and have regretted all of those orders(Claypot fish, Ga Nuong, General Gau’s). Stick with the ramen and daily specials, and you’ll be coming here 3 – 4 times a week like I do! Also, can someone explain why it’s $ 1 more expensive for the same food at their pop-up location in Leisure Station(a 5 min walk away) vs. the food truck($ 6 at Leisure, $ 5 at the truck)?

Huge disappointment! I usually keep on going past this food truck despite the long line, but there was no line & I thought I’d give it a shot. I chose the pad thai… The description on the website describes the pad thai as Pad Thai — Traditional rice noodles with fresh eggs, scallions, sprouts and carrots. It was a disgusting mass of grey chicken sitting on noodles with no egg, scallions and a few sprouts. It is such a poor excuse for pad thai that i bothered to take a pix to post. Ick! Disgusting! Never again! Did I mention that it was cold! And note like this is meant to be cold, I mean, this was warm, but not anytime recently and not with the goal of making a cold noodle dish.

Heaping portions of great food for an even greater price. Love! I had the rice bowl(Brown rice, fresh veggies w/Korean BBQ chicken). It was yumtastic! For $ 6 I purchased lunch AND dinner(I couldn’t eat it all in one sitting so I’m saving the rest for din din). The chicken was tender and flavorful, the rice was cooked perfectly(not soggy or crunchy), and the veggies were deliciously fresh. You go, momo! 5 stars :-)
