Action Pool & Spa

As with most things of value, having a professional help you get the most out of it is always a great investment.
I have been with Action Pool and Spa for more than a decade and they have never missed a step. The pool is always fresh and clean and the equipment is perfectly maintained.
I am sure their expertise has added years to the life of my pool and given me the confidence to simply swim and enjoy the water.
I highly recommend Action Pool and Spa as your partner in swimming pool management.

We used Action Pool & Spa service from Nov ’12 to Feb ’13 for four months. They have been maintaining the pool for the previous owner in the past seven years, and we continued the service when we moved it.
Overall a good but not stellar experience, hence the three stars rating. Here is a summary:
Great things:
— They maintained the pool well, and it is wonderful thing to look at a clear and clean pool everyday. They come in every week and spent about 15 mins cleaning and maintaining the pool.
— Very polite. Whenever I have a conversation with them, they are very polite and try to help and explain things when you ask.
Could-​be-​better things:
— They could be more proactive giving home owner advice on pool maintenance. I am a first time pool owner and have been troubled by the high energy bills ever since we got this pool. It turns out we are using a single speed pump, plus another two pumps for waterfalls and cleaner. All add to the high electricity cost. I found out this from another pool company we used to add solar pool heating, and wish action pool team had proactively explained all these things back in November when we met the first time, and suggested the variable speed pump option to me.
— The auto filler was not working initially, and they came and assessed the situation, and changed the auto filler for $ 40, but it turns out the real big problem is the auto filler pipe was leaking way down in the ground, and it will take a lot more money to fix it. I decided not to do it anymore and just use a hose to add water to the pool manually. In hindsight, I wish they assessed better so that I don’t need to spend that $ 40 auto filler for nothing.
Overall I think they get their job done cleaning and maintaining the pool, but not much beyond that to service and help the home owners proactively. I do like the team who comes in every week for pool maintenance, and hope they can build a better business. Thanks.

We’ve used Dave & Justin for the past couple years and couldn’t be happier. Whenever we have questions about the service or billing, they are quick to respond and always polite and helpful. A great business run by a great family. Highly recommended!
