Both Mark and Cameron are the very best!
We had our house done 7 years ago by them and didnt know we could get free inspections every year if we wanted to. Cameron came out today and treated one area. I have recommended them to other people and they love them also.
Their fees are reasonable and they are very honest. You dont have to worry about them telling you something has to be treated when it doesnt! No rip off artists here. Just two very knowledgeable guys who are very honest. Their response is very quick. I called on Wednesday and they came out Saturday. Cant beat that service. They are also willing to answer all your questions and explain to you the life (and infestation) of termites!
I will use them for them as long as we have a house !!
I would give them more stars if I could!

I called this company after reading about all the rave reviews. Unfortunately I was sadly disappointed. Though these guys are pleasant and professional, they never really eradicated the termites despite charging me a few thousand dollars. To make matters worse, they are based in Campbell and took forever to come back for retreatment. And if that is not bad enough, when they came back after a considerable wait, they had no idea what it was that they had come back for and had not brought the necessary treatment so they had to reschedule. To add salt to the injury, this mistake actually happened twice!!! I could not believe such incompetence from a company with such stellar reviews. There is something desperately wrong with their appointment system. My advice is if you live some distance from Campbell, you’d be better off going with someone local in case the first treatment does not work…

I called a bunch of different termite companies to have someone inspect our crawl space for the little pests. Some places were just pure lazy, and didn’t even bother going underneath the house.
Mark and another guy showed up on time, inspected the attic and crawl space and took their time doing their jobs correctly and professionally. They were also friendly and explained the Orange oil spot treatment which has a 2 yr guarantee.
They don’t do tenting so if you don’t want to vacate the house, and you want to be environmentally green, this company’s the way to go.
The estimation and report was emailed a couple days later and we also received a follow up call so that was great!

Excellent customer service provided by Mark and his team! Even after a little over two years, Mark came to treat the exact same spot that has termites again without any additional cost to us. His team even went up the attic to look for the source and treated an additional spot in the attic.

We are very happy with Mark. One year ago when there was signs of termites in our home, we called Mark. The quote was very reasonable, so we decided to go with him. He is very professional, thoroughly inspected our house. Today, we just did one year inspection. The good news is there is no sign termite in our house. Unfortunately, there is a sign of termite in one of the board in our fence, but Mark treated it right away, I am pretty sure they will go away just like before. We Highly recommended his service. The orange oil treatment smell nice too.

I used these guys over two years ago to fix two termite infestations. They were really professional about the whole transaction. Included with the treatment was a 2-​year guarantee. They came out twice in those two year to inspect, as promised. Six months later, I discovered pellets that I guessed were from termites. They came out and inspected again. They were not termites, and they did not require treatment. Best of all, they said «we did no more than inspect, so we’re not going to charge you»! They had gone under the house and into my attics, plus they’d had to dive out here. I thought they deserved something for their time, but they just said «call us if you have any problems.» I have complete faith and trust in this company and its owner, Mark.

Some of these less than stellar reviews surprise me because my experience with Mark was excellent! He did indeed come and do the free inspection, and I trusted his recommendations. I had other companies come do estimates too and they were fine, but I felt that Mark gave me a more accurate representation of what I really needed. In all of my dealings with them they were timely, responsive and respectful. Thanks Mark!

I highly recommend bay area termite. Our house is about 60 years old and I have not had a termite inspection in 25 years. I only paid about $ 1,650.00 for the treatment. they have been out 3x for free follow up inspections, I get 1 more free inspection in 1 year. They are nice, honest and fair. I like the guy in the office he is funny, it is a family business and I like that.

I was very happy with the service provided at first, the quote was good, service was timely, the termites seemed to be under control & the affected room smelled great afterwards. My problem was when the termites came back. This is the 2^nd time I’ve had to call them back in for a re spray (which is, by the way, free — a great benefit). It’s a tiny job, but each time it has been weeks before they are able to get to me. Unfortunately, my termite problem is in a particularly annoying part of the house — right above our bed. I am heartily sick of having to vacuum the bed each night before I can get in it, then waking up with a headful of termite droppings! If they would just improve that aspect of their service, I’d give them 5 stars.

We had another termite company come over and do a quick glance at our home and immediately conclude that we needed a $ 650 treatment, so we called Mark at Bay Area Termite based on these solid Unilocal reviews and he came over and did a very through evaluation, going under the house in to the crawlspace and in to the attic and concluded that there was no evidence of termites! He had the integrity, honesty and ethics of not charging me for something that I didn’t needed and because of that trustworthiness I will keep calling him and referring him to anyone that needs termite inspection (free of charge!).

I am still in shock! After seeing signs of possible termites on my front porch I called Bay Area Termite, They set up an appt at my convenience, showed up on time, Mark did a complete inspection of my house, including crawling around, under, and over it. He spent a good hour checking everywhere. Told me termite confined to just wood on porch and I just needed to replace some boards. I said «Great, how much do I owe you». He said.“No charge, the inspection is free”. In this day of overpricing and people selling what you don’t need, it is great to find and honest company to deal with. I will be calling Mark back if I need any type of pest control!!!

Mark came did good inspection. They are on time, take off their shoe, very polite. Mark is very honest and quoted a reasonable price, write up a very reasonable estimate. Since they are not the first inspection I got, I know he covered all areas, and included everything. They are one of the estimate I got, after comparison, I went with them.
They came by did good job, pretty painless for me and my family. It has been less than a year after the job was completed. They have came out once to redo one spot. And so far so good.
but, the truth is with orange oil, you will probably expect to repeat the treatment, but it is safe for your plants and 4 legged loved ones, and it is pretty painless since you do not have to do so much before and after the job. For me, my 4 legged loved one’s and my own wellbeing is top priority.
Keep in mind, termite can fly… so, even you tented house, killed everything inside (possibly exposed yourself, family in toxic residues which is a horrible price to pay, like our environment doesn’t have enough toxic for us yet) next year, you might end up with termite again except you might not see it for few years until the problem is more visually obvious… so, personally, the key to keep your house termite free is keep close eye on it, and maintenance is very important.
Go green is the way to go, I will always go with orange oil even it means repeat treatment and just make sure you find good company to do this with good warranty.

Mark performed the termite inspection on my house two years ago, so this is a long belated review. He showed up on time and was extremely professional and friendly. Upon inspection, he noted that there were no issues with the house. Till this day, I respect Mark a lot for his honesty. I knew that the inspection was free but wanted to tip Mark since work was performed by him. He refused to accept the cash, as he stated that inspection was free. Mark is definitely a man of integrity! Can I also add that Mary is the most adorable and friendly receptionist ever!

This is a review for inspection and quote only.
Had an inspection setup. 15 min before the scheduled time, got a call saying he’ll be late for 30 min due to a truck problem. Called again after 30 min said he’s on his way. Arrived about an hour late. That was fine. Talked me through the inspection process. Seems friendly and knowledgeable. Promised a quote by the end of the week. I was satisfied at this point.
A week gone by, did not receive any quote at all. Had to email the guy. No response for about another week. Then got an email saying he’ll send me a quote by the end of the day. Haven’t heard from since.
If it took so long for them to do a paid job, I wonder how long it will take them to do any follow-​ups. Went with Proven Termite instead. Punctual and fast!

When we moved into our house last summer there was something vague about possible termites under our deck and there was a soft recommendation for further inspection. We did nothing about it until now when we had seen our friends discover bad termite damage to their home and then we remembered that report about OUR house. YIKES. So I called a few well regarded termite companies but when I explained the situation, no one was willing to do a «free inspection» as advertised.
When I called Bay Area Termite — I was surprised that they were willing to schedule the inspection and confirmed that there would be no charge even though I made sure to tell them that to get under the deck would involve crawling underneath. I figured that there would be some «catch» — either they would exaggerate evidence of termites to get our business or make a hard sell for other treatments. You can imagine my surprise when Mark and his nephew came out — did a really thorough inspection — and gave us a report of «No Termites!» These guys are extremely knowledgable — and spent alot of time educating me about what to do to prevent termites from coming on my own and there was absolutely no pressure to buy anything. So glad I met them and now I know that if they say that we need a treatment, I can actually trust their word. Honest, Punctual, and Knowledgable — Thank you, Bay Area Termite!

Mark and Casey came out to do a treatment on some additional areas I found. They were thorough, on-​time and very nice. Very honest people to work with. Would recommend to anyone needing termite treatment service.

Had Bay Area out again for an inspection. Mark doesn’t seem to be that much involved in the business anymore, and I did not have as much confidence in the guy who came out to do the inspection. I decided to go with another company that found evedence of reinfestation of dry wood termites near the area treated 4 years earlier. I had hoped that the orange oil would hold up better than that.

I have to say I was excited to call this company based on the good reviews and their alternative method of treatment. However, I just called and the guy told me that since the house is vacant, I would be better off to call a fumigation company. Huh?!
He went on to sell me on a traditional fumigation company in order to receive a better warranty and more thorough treatment. He made it sound like their minimum fee of $ 1500 was too much and I’d get more for my money at a fumigation company… although he couldn’t tell me the ballpark figure of what that might be.
I’m perplexed, definitely not what I was expecting. I will definitely be calling someone else — well, I guess I’ll have to.

After calling a fumigation company, I was told it is not effective for subterranean termites, which the house did have. I ended up going to Planet Orange which also uses orange oil treatment.

Mark is friendly, thorough, and honest.
He came to inspect our house for termites, and he was the most thorough of all the inspectors. He took the time to go into the attic and identify the location of termite evidence. Based on his findings (interior + exterior), he recommended that we fumigate, even though his company uses orange oil treatment and does not fumigate. I appreciate his honesty and recommendation for what is best for his client.
Communication was excellent throughout the process — from setting up the appointment, working with me to move up our appointment date, explaining his findings as we walked around the house and afterwards, report arrived in my inbox one business day after the inspection.
Highly recommend!

Unfortunately, I had the same experience as Carole P. I called and the lady sounded very nice, but would not come out for a «free inspection» as they advertise. She asked me questions if I had signs of termites and basically just gave me tips and advice over the phone. That’s not really going to cut it for peace of mind when buying a house, and I certainly wouldn’t put money on advice over the phone versus having a professional do an actual inspection.
I called Proven Termite Solutions and was able to set something up right away (they are sending someone out tomorrow) for a free inspection where I can have an actual professional come out and verify that there are no termite issues to be concerned about.
