Cindi is great. I had never seen an acupuncturist and I was honestly a bit nervous. I saw her during my pregnancy to help prepare for labor and I am glad I did. She is very practical and gentle with her treatments. She also helped me when my baby was breech by doing a special treatment and giving me moxa sticks to use at home. My baby turned the next day (I also sought chiropractic treatment for this). Her treatments are fairly priced and she specializes working with pregnant women and balancing hormones. I have seen her once since my baby was born and it helped me feel better as well. I highly recommend her!

This practice is targeted to prenatal women so she couldn’t help with my specific needs.
However, she took the time to refer to another practitioner.
Went out of her way to be kind.

Now that I’ve been seeing Cindy for 9 months, I feel like I can write her a fair review. Basically, I’ll just echo what everyone else has said: she’s awesome! I started going to her while trying to get pregnant– she’s like the cool older sister you don’t feel weird asking personal questions re: your lady parts. She’s VERY responsive to email– something I really appreciate in a health care provider. And best of all, I’m now expecting a baby girl in January! I’ve had no morning sickness seeing Cindy once per week during my pregnancy. I intend on continuing to see her throughout. I highly recommend her– I really really like and trust her.

Cindi is the best. When we started trying for our second baby, we ran into issues — an early miscarriage, then an irregular cycle for several months that made it difficult to know if/​when I was ovulating. My OB immediately suggested fertility drugs, but I didn’t want to go that route if I didn’t have to. So I called Cindi, after reading the great Unilocal reviews. Thank goodness I did. She is the perfect blend of Eastern philosophy and Western sensibility. She is able to order blood tests, which saves you from having to get your regular doctor to order them. She makes sure that both you and she understand what’s happening in your body, and then you both make a plan to address it. She is empathetic and warm, but also has a problem-​solving bent to her personality, which I love. I wanted answers and I wanted a path forward, and that’s what she provided me. She empowered me to take control of my health in ways I hadn’t done, previously. With her encouragement, I even dumped my old OB and started seeing a new doctor who is supportive of acupuncture and an absolutely fantastic OB. Within a couple of months of seeing Cindi, I became pregnant. Unfortunately, that pregnancy ended in a 2^nd trimester loss because of a chromosomal abnormality. Once again, Cindi was incredibly supportive, and provided acupuncture sessions to help me deal with the physical and emotional aftermath. She also provided me recommendations for counselors to help me work through the grief. To my delight, 6 weeks after that loss, I became pregnant AGAIN, with my now-​3-​month-​old daughter. (She’s perfect. :))
Cindi’s treatments during the pregnancy helped me with morning sickness, fatigue and physical aches. My due date came and went, and her treatment helped jumpstart labor.
I can’t thank Cindi enough for helping me on this long journey. She’s a gifted practitioner and a great human being.

She is professional, caring, and knowledgeable. She’s someone I continue to see for my general health and can not recommend her highly enough.

I started treatment with Cindi when my husband and I were trying to conceive. I knew it may be tough for me to get pregnant due to PCOS so I opted for the proactive, non-​invasive, holistic approach hoping to avoid medical interventions as much as possible. After about two months I was pregnant! I though it would take me years. I was so relieved and so happy to go through this gentle and pleasant journey and succeed! I kept going to Cindi all through my pregnancy, which was amazing. Cindi played a huge role in supporting me through acupuncture and her amazing ability to listen and provide solutions while accommodating to what I have chosen to do. After my zero intervention labor and delivery of my beautiful, calm son I keep going to Cindi when I can and will definitely do it all over again for future pregnancies.
Cindi has world class knowledge, wonderful bedside manner, is very thorough, gentle and kind, yet on top of everything involving her patients’ care.

Since at least my early 20’s I’d had quite severe cramps with my periods — the kind where I’d lay in bed all day (sometimes 2 days) and need to miss school or work. I tried prescription pain medicines and they didn’t work. I used birth control for years until I stopped taking it, and the pain came back in full force. That’s when I found Cindi (actually, my mom did) and after a few treatments my painful cramps disappeared!!! I never experienced them again — since then, Cindi has also helped me with the effects of stress and anxiety. I like to say she resets my battery. Not only are her treatments a lifesaver, but she is incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and perceptive to her client’s needs.
Acupuncture with Cindi is the best thing I do for my health.

Cindi is terrific. After a few months of trying to conceive, I was getting nervous that we would have to resort to medical interventions, so I booked my first appointment with Cindi. Six weeks later I was pregnant! I’m now nearly half-​way through my pregnancy, with no problems or complications so far. Thanks in large part to Cindi, I feel relaxed and confident about the rest of my pregnancy, childbirth, and beyond. I am very afraid of needles– before starting acupuncture with Cindi, I would pass out any time I got a shot or a blood test, so I was really nervous for our first appointment. She was extremely gentle and reassuring, and by the end of our first session I was quite happy to let her put needles anywhere she saw fit. :) Now not only do I look forward to acupuncture treatment, but I believe it has made me much less nervous during blood draws at my doctor’s office (a good thing, too, considering all the blood tests pregnant women have to have!). Three cheers (and five stars!) for Cindi!

Cindi worked with me through my second pregnancy to help reduce swelling and other uncomfortable issues. And in the end she induced that baby! She was practical and calm in her approach; she made it very clear what she was doing and why, what she recommended, etc… She also has herbal training, but was respectful of my ambivalence to go in that direction during pregnancy.
I didn’t have insurance to cover; acupuncture is expensive. She was incredibly understanding and tried to accommodate the best she could. In the end, I would have paid anything for that induction! She is busy, which is good, but we never had trouble fitting our schedules together. She is also a mom to two!
I know she works with both pregnant moms and others, men and women. I would recommend her to anyone, though my experience was all with pregnancy issues (and postpartum) issues.

Another 5 star review for Cindi! My husband actually went to her first for tinnitus, and was casually telling her that we had been doing endless rounds of fertility treatments. She asked if I was doing acupuncture, and mentioned that it can really help with the process. So I booked an appointment, went through my medical history, and did a few treatments with Cindi. I also read the books she recommended, and made a few changes to my diet, and incorporated vitamins. BAM! After trying for 2 ½ years, I got pregnant on my third round of injectables. The only thing I did differently was adding in acupuncture and incorporating Cindi’s suggestions. I know this won’t be the case with everyone, but it was my experience, and I’m so grateful that I found Cindi when I did. My daughter is now 18 months old, and I’m seeing Cindi again as we try for another baby.
I have to say that I’m not a super mellow «zen» person. I’m more of a high energy, fast paced, always moving kind of gal. It was hard for me to wrap my head around the idea of quietly laying in a room with a bunch of needles in me. However – I’m so glad that I did. I feel a blend of Eastern and Western treatments is key to healthy, balanced living, and you won’t find a better practitioner than Cindi. She’s warm, friendly, professional, and has great bedside manner.

I started going to Cindi last weekend after my wife had visited her a few times. This is my first experience with accupuncture but so far my expectations have been surpassed. I quit tobacco recently and have been dealing with withdrawals, anger, frustration, and severe mood swings because of an addiction that has gripped me for two decades. I am now thirteen days tobacco free and because of the treatment Cindi provided me on Sunday, I actually feel calm and prepared to go the rest of my life without putting poison inside my body. Cindi takes the time needed to truly get to know her clients in their introductory interview and zeroes in on all of the important issues of why you went to see her in the first place. From there the experience only gets better. When Cindi puts needles inside of me it feels like I’m sliding down a waterslide of rainbows and swimming into a pool of puppies. The day after my treatment I started feeling nauseous with a pretty severe headache but that was just my body’s attempt to rid me of the toxins that I have carried for years. Cindi is awesome. I have another visit scheduled this week and both my wife and myself will continue to see her for a long time.
Thank you Cindi for bringing me rainbows and puppies! I had almost given up hope that I could still experience both of those things at the same time!

I saw Cindi at 38.5 weeks pregnant — I wanted to do a VBAC naturally. My doctor was going to do a c-​section at 40 weeks if I didn’t go naturally and I did not want to do that. I saw Cindi 3 (maybe 4?) times, the last time the day before the c-​section. Cindi pulled out all the stops, I went into labor that night and I had a beautiful natural birth, an amazing experience. She was generous, patient — a great experience and a great alternative to a c-​section!

I am so happy I found Cindi! She has been treating me for a few months for various things including overall health and well being. She listens to my needs and asks the right questions. I often find that with professionals, they can be pushy and only care about money and not your true well being, but this is not the case with Cindi. She really wants her patients to be happy and healthy. If I ever have any questions or want to let her know something, I email her and she always responds faster than I expect. Her office has a great atmosphere and I always leave feeling relaxed, no matter how busy my day was.

I saw Cindi following a car accident. Weeks of chiropracture had helped but I was still in a lot of pain. The evening after my first treatment with Cindi, I met friends for a glass of wine and sat with complete comfort for a couple hours on a wooden bar stool with no back support. That couldn’t have happened the day before! Cindi helped me recover more fully, and quickly than chiropracture and physical therapy combined.
I have no idea who Joe S from Illinois is, but if you visit his page, you can see he has only ever Unilocaled one star about anything and seems to have issues with acupuncturists and vegetarians… Don’t let his review keep you from receiving the kind of treatment that an amazing acupuncturist like Cindi can give you. You deserve to be in good health and live without pain.

I urge you to look at all Cindi’s filtered reviews. I don’t know why Unilocal does this with some very good businesses, however all of Cindi’s filtered reviews are 5 stars. Cindi continues to be invested in her clients, attends the latest trainings, and sees a place for both western and eastern medicine to live in harmony. Again, I would (and do) recommend Cindi highly!

I have been seeing Cindi for treatment of uterine fibroids since October. Due to Cindi’s knowledge of women’s health, chinese herbs and acupuncture, the results from my 6 month follow-​up ultrasound (with my western doctor) indicated that the fibroids have shrunk significantly without the addition of hormones or the radical hysterectomy I was left to ponder 6 months ago.

I am so pleased that I found Cindi. She is professional and extremely helpful. To put it plainly — Cindi is awesome! She had great bedside manner and makes you feel at ease.
