History

Established in 2007.

I chose the name «Hairchitects Salon» to represent precision, design, technique, and professionalism. I was an architect major for two years before deciding to pursue cosmetology. I always knew «design» and «creative expression» would be my career path, and I found my niche in hair design! A name that ties in both my interests is different yet modern, and fits right in for Silicon Valley.

Business Owner

Graduating at the top of her cosmetology class from SMCC, Michelle has now been in the hair industry for eleven years. While working full time to maintain her clientele, she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management at SJSU. With an ever-​expanding roster of satisfied clients, this career driven woman continues to further her education and knowledge of the industry by attending as many conventions and seminars as she can. Learning new techniques and styles brings a fresh approach to her clients, and the motivation and excitement to stay at the top of her profession.

This review is long over due. Cassie has been taking care of my hair needs for a few years now and I won’t go to anyone but her. I’m super picky about my hair and I’ve seen other stylists in the past who can never get it right even if I bring a picture in. Cassie takes into consideration what I want and also what would look best with my face shape. I appreciate the extra time that she takes to show me how to style my hair since I can never seem to get it right. Cassie always makes sure that I leave happy and feeling beautiful. I would highly, highly recommend her to anyone.

I have very dark hair and I have never changed my hair color except for small highlights, so I was a bit nervous at first. I was schedule with Tara and she did a wonderful job. She talked me through each step of the process and asked me all the necessary questions to make sure that the coloring goes very smoothly. The way she talked about what she was doing made me feel very comfortable and less anxious. I am very happy with the end result (medium ashy brown) and how the color turned out to be very close to what I wanted, since it is very hard to achieve with my dark hair. Overall, I would definitely recommend Tara ! The price is reasonable for the amount of work and time it took. Would come back!

Was in one of those desperate moods for a change & new look. You know how that is. Luckily, I was able to book with Tara the next day. Sort of an odd location & from the outside I was a little hesitant. However, when I walked in, the place was cute as a button. Tara was kind, attentive & gave a good consultation. End result… a VERY happy client! Found my new stylist. Thank you Tara, love my hair!

Danielle V. helped me and I appreciate and admire her honesty, super dedication, and care.
I came in for a hair color, but she didn’t want to just finish the job quickly, charge me, and wave me away so I have to show up weeks later fixing off problems.
Though it has been a year since I permed my hair, Danielle was cautious about coloring because she didn’t want my hair to fall off one fine sunny day (ahhh). She took the time and tested a few strands to see if the colors would hold — they lightly did, but she advised against it for healthier long-​term hair. Danielle thoroughly walked me through my hair’s current status and outlined steps to keep it healthier; I really appreciated this because I’ve been perming my hair for 5 years with different methods.
I went for a smoothening treatment, and Danielle went above and beyond. She is so easy to talk to, dedicated, and transparent about things, so there’s a lot of trust and care here.

My stylist was Cassie. She’s super sweet. I went to her for a color correction. After 2 appointments she did such an amazing job, I can’t begin to explain how happy I am with my results. definitely deserve 5 stars and I would highly recommend Cassie as your hair stylist. Hairchitects has great customer service and great atmosphere.

The salon owner, Michelle, truly cares about each customer and is incredibly accommodating if you are unhappy with your haircut. She reached out to me directly after I had a bad experience with Jamie, and she was willing to fix my hair at my convenience. She is incredibly caring, and takes pride in her clients’ happiness.

First time to this salon but followed Richard and his amazing hair Magic. Always personal and engaging and on trend. Within 45 minutes I went from dull to fab and dashed off to work.
Richard is also amazing with his barber cuts. He gave my son his first cool haircut and for a teen that says a lot. He gave my daughter a smooth and full cut with highlights giving her a nice teen choice awards chic look. Happy kids. Happy mom.
The salon is cute snd friendly and reminds of being in a relaxed resort cottage. Couple that with Richard’s styling and you feel like your on vacation and ready for the red carpet.

Had a great experience at #Hairchitects in Campbell. Tara Hogan was my stylist and she took great care of me. My hair was originally (not naturally, of course) the color of a copper penny. Not cute. What I wanted was my roots to be my natural color and ombré into blonde blonde. Impossible right? Well, I went in understanding that it could take more than one sesh because my hair could end up fried and orange, but we got amazing results and it turned out to be exactly what I pictured Tara talked me thru each step and was focused on my hair. Great job and I look forward to going back for my next hairdo vision recommending all friends and fam.

Once again, ALLIE did an amazing job on my hair. Love her!
I decided to go for a drastic change this time, and chop go from long hair down to my waist to an a-​line long bob.
The last time I had hair that short was almost 10 years ago so nevertheless I was super nervous. I emailed her photos of ideas that I had in mind and the only thing she suggested was that I go a little bit longer in the back to make it easier to tie up in case I didn’t want to style my hair everyday which makes a lot of sense.
Allie was confident and made me feel super comfortable. I’m so glad I did it! She cut it exactly as I wanted and my hair feels so much healthier and easier to maintain.
Before I left the salon she even gave me tips on how to style my hair when I go out.
Definitely go for Allie!

It’s been several days since my hair cut and I am so pleased!
I used to have a go-​to stylist while living in LA but since moving to the Bay Area I found it incredibly challenging to find a stylist that I felt comfortable with especially as I have wavy hair that likes to curl on its own terms.
Tara was absolutely amazing for the following reasons:
— She took the time to listen to what I wanted, offered suggestions and ended the consultation clearly communicating what she was going to do.
— She made sure I was OK with the length she was going to cut before proceeding and again communicated what/​why she was doing based on the texture of my hair, curl pattern, etc.
— She styled my hair based on my style preference (not the standard curls salons usually give — yuck!) and also went over what I can do based on my daily regiment.
She was awesome and I’m so happy I found my go-​to Bay Area stylist… it only took 7 years.

Michelle is the most amazing hair stylist I have ever had!!! Although to be honest, there is not a stylist where their clients walk out looking anything less than fabulous.
These ladies are the Silicon Valley masters of the Ombré. They get it right and perfect every single time. Michelle has been doing mine now for a bit and I always get complemented on it. I’m a bit adventurous with my hair and whether I’m doing something more natural or pink (like this last time) the results are always really beautiful. Additionally, her cuts are great.
They also use and carry the best quality hair products, which seems to make all the difference in the final result both at the salon and my ability to reproduce it at home.
If I could give them more than 5 stars I would!!!

Tara did such an amazing job on my hair I can’t even begin to explain how happy I am with the work she did!
I was able to set up a fast appointment with her and see her the same week I called. Before I came in I had a really bad uneven ombré with red and orange tones in it. I explained how I wanted it to look more blended and even and showed her a few pictures. She did exactly what I wanted and also gave me an amazing haircut. My hair has never felt so healthy! I feel like the price was right too, not too expensive. She’s also very sweet and easy to talk to. I’ll definitely be coming back!

I’ve never been happy after requesting a cut with lots of layers until I met Tara! She envisioned and delivered exactly what I wanted. She’s also amazing at coloring Asian hair. I dyed my whole head a medium brown and added some honey/​ash highlights throughout. It was perfect and even faded nicely :). Highly recommended!

Honestly. this is the first time I’ve been happy with my hair in years.
Tara did such an amazing job with balayage highlights and listened to my complaints about my orange-​tones in my hair so used a toner to fix them. Everything she did was done so well and she didn’t rush though anything, she really took her time to make sure it was perfect.
My hair ended up looking exactly like the pinterest photo I showed her of what I wanted which was great, I was just expecting it to be close, not exact. She clearly knows what she’s doing!
The price I got quoted for was the exact amount I paid so that was also great. I will definitely be coming back for my next hair cut/​dye adventures.

Great Salon I highly recommend it! I was really distraught about my hair, a previous salon had over processed my hair and was extremely nervous about trying a new salon. I read about one of their hair colorist at hairchitects. I found Julie Acosta on Unilocal and saw her work through her photos on here, I was impressed by her hair corrections so I booked her for a correction. She’s very easy to talk with and gave me alot of confidence that she would be able to fix the damage that was done and had great suggestions on the highlights. The salon was very professional, they got me in right away and sent me reminders of my appointment. I am really happy with Julie’s work and will be going back in this month for my 3rd touch up. Thank you Haircitects, you guys rock!

Tara, thank you so much for such an awesome cut and style! :) As you can tell, I left extremely happy and satisfied. I found Hairchitects Salon thru Unilocal and took a chance with Tara who had an immediate opening. We started with a quick consultation, wash, then it was time for my haircut! She did exactly what i asked for and was very accommodating when i asked to go a tad shorter. She’s very easy to talk to and it’s nice that she also doesn’t bombarded you with so much small talk as I like to relax and read a few magazines. I left refreshed and you can bet I’ll be back for a trim very soon!

Been going to Tara for the last year and I love it! My hair is long, thick and super frizzy, and she works wonder. When I go in, I’m ready to spend 4 hours and I never feel like she is rushing through the process. This time I wanted something a little different and she was able to accommodate my requests. My hair has never been so healthy!
It is in on the pricier end but i love my hair and it is 100% worth it. I already use the eufora products (which is how I found the salon) so I love that I can get it directly from them. I am so happy with this place!
