Jim and his team were very helpful during the whole house buying process. Jim walked us through the complete process before starting to look at houses which gave us a good idea of what is involved. He also came to look at houses with us to get an essence of what we like or dislike. There was never a pressure to put offers, he was very patient. We would highly recommend Jim for others as well.

Jim helped my fiancé and I sell our condo which we are so grateful for. The process of selling property for the first time can be really daunting but Jim made us feel absolutely at ease and was very responsive. Sometimes we had questions that may have been very basic and Jim never made us feel that they were insignificant which is really nice. Jim went above and beyond in terms of getting things done and I would absolutely recommend him if you’re looking for someone to sell your property.

Jim is fantastic. I worked with him on buying my first home. That could have been a very stressful experience, but, thanks to Jim, it was actually very enjoyable. Jim is very friendly and patient, which makes him pleasant to work with. But what most impressed me is his immense knowledge: in a little over a year, he has known the answer to all but a handful of questions I’ve asked him, from the basics of how things work, to specifics about a neighborhood or house. In the few cases where he did not know an answer, he told me so, found out, and got back to me. Jim is also very responsive: emails often get answered within an hour, and, the few times he has been unavailable, he has made sure that someone else was available to answer questions or show houses. In an extremely hot market like the one I was buying in, this is a must.

What most impressed me about Jim was his focus on value. I don’t mean squirming out a «good deal.» Jim’s sense of value comes from seeing the entire process of buying a house, from looking and making an offer to closing and moving in, as a process of making a home. Each home is different, and Jim’s goal is simply to be responsive to each person’s needs in a home. Jim is really a listener who happens to be a realtor, and he had a calming effect on how to approach the hyperventilated market that is the Bay area.
So here are some specifics. Jim is really in the details:
1) I moved from out of town and Jim picked me up from the airport when I arrived.
2) My phone needed charging; Jim carries a few of the most universal phone chargers in his car.
3) Sometime during that first day, Jim stopped by a convenience store and asked what I wanted to drink; the next day we went out, his car was preloaded with that specific drink as well.
4) Jim talked about his associate realtor, Jen, with genuine and profound respect for the work she does. (Ask about his birthday present to her!) As someone who is married to a human rights and employment advocate, Jim sense of respect and partnership means a lot. Jen, by the way, is also a great person to work with, and has very similar values as Jim.
5) Jim gives each of his clients the most amazing home warming gift when he gives you the keys.

Jim assisted me in listing and staging the property myself in an effort to save me money. He continued working diligently with the offers that came in to craft a purchase contract that suited my needs as a seller and enabled me to move debt free from this sale. It was a short sale, so his team worked even harder after getting it into contract because Bank of America created many road blocks that his team had to hurdle in order to get the purchase contract accepted and the transaction closed. Once this was processed BofA left me only 9 days to close the sale and vacate the property. His team stepped up in a big way coordinating movers, storage and a place for me to live once it was all done. Jim Holt is more than a real estate agent, he is a conductor of life changes and I couldn’t have made it through this transaction if it weren’t for his attention to my needs and willingness to assist me at every turn. I had an extremely complicated sale and Jim walked me through every phase of the process and got the job done quickly and efficiently. Jim and his assistant Jen were awesome from start to finish. COMMUNICATION is their specialty! Jim would stay in constant contact with me and that was very important to me. When I send an e-​mail, I expect a reply within a day. Jim would often respond within an hour. I was amazed as I have never had that kind of response from any of my previous agents I worked with.
The best compliment I can pay Jim is that he is now my agent for life. I trust him 100% and will be using him on my next deal.

I wanted to put in an offer on a short sale property in the penisula and was referred to Jim as my regular agent was not able to help me. It was a fairly crazy situation as the offer was due at noon and I only contacted Jim at 10.15am! He was extremely responsive, and in the short time available, he walked me through the short sale process, gave me a sense of what’s a reasonable price, got my docs ready, answered my questions and I was so impressed. Furthermore, he followed with me on the status of the offer without me having to chase him for updates. Even though my offer wasn’t accepted, I’m very happy to have worked with Jim :) Strongly recommend

He is pretty helpful

Jim is very helpful and responsive. He’d always get back to me quickly when I have questions and answer them patiently. I had a very smooth experience with him and got a condo after only 3 weeks of looking. Already recommended him to many of my friends. Give him a call and I’m sure you’ll like him. ^_^
