Ripoff … they cost $ 3 each. Got the same thing at WalMart Neighborhood Market for $ 1 each in the frozen section.

I’m going through a little bit of a tamale phase right now and wanted to find a place I could buy a whole bunch for cheap and store them in my fridge. Found this lady on Unilocal and drove over to the market where her stand is now. She is located just beside the cashier and at first I didn’t see her and was super disappointed after walking around the whole store. Anyway, I got 4 tamales each at $ 1.75. 2 pollo, 1 puerco, and 1 queso con jalapeño. Pretty big tamales for that price, not sure if this is considered expensive or not. I’ve tried all 3 of them and the puerco is by far my favorite. More meat than the pollo and it meshed better. The pollo was also very good but did not have as good of a texture. The cheese and jalapeño one has a nice kick and is good but is a little too salty. I will definitely be back!

She now has a kiosk inside the market here and her warez are in a cooler. Got the pork and chicken tamales which were fairly tasty. She was out of the Raja which are chile and cheese. Prices are now $ 1.50 per.

Yummy! These tamales kick some butt. The tamale lady stands outside Los Cuates Mexican grocery store. OMG! good stuff!
