Brie was doing my eyebrows and it seemed like she didn’t know was she was doing. Her hands were shaking! She did not move fast enough to to PLUCK a hair out, instead she was PULLING on each strand. I told her I don’t have very much time. My appt was at 5:15 but she took me at 5:10 and she was moving so slow that I had to leave and finish myself because at the rate she was going it would have taken much longer. Her hands were SHAKING. How can I ever trust this place again! This is my second time there and I am completely unhappy and will definitely not come back!

I come here for a Brazilian wax once a month and it is amazing!!! Tara is great and she takes her time to make sure everything goes smooth. The best waxing you will ever get with amazing service.

First and foremost, I want to say that Liz is an AMAZING esthetician! My old esthetician at Stript Wax Bar went on to pursue a new career and she recommended her to me. and I got to say, I am so glad I finally worked up the courage to finally visit her! I am very hesitant about who does my Brazilian waxes because of all the bad experiences that have left me just feeling violated with broken skin. However, being a person of second chances, I went back to EWC, the people who first traumatized me, just hoping for something different and it wasn’t. So, after waiting 2 and a half to 3 months out, I finally booked Liz.
The service was one of the most painLESS waxes I have ever gotten! She understands how sensitive skin is and takes her time to be thorough with her work; I really appreciate that attention to detail. Liz keeps the conversation going and really does make her client feel right at home. I absolutely recommend her to new comers of Brazilian waxes and traumatized victims of bad Brazilians (lol) because she is professional, clean, and the service is seriously one of the most painless ever!
ON TOP OF THAT, my eyebrows were also reinvented thanks to her! Liz really shaped my eyebrows so well that I feel I do not need to fill them in. I know this is in part to how full my eyebrows already were but experienced estheticians will make even the sparsest eyebrows full and that is exactly what she did with me. Thank you Liz!
It is so nice to finally find someone who can take care of all of my hair removal needs. Please never leave me!

I switched over from another waxing place because the esthetician I preferred started working here. I have had a decent amount of Brazilians done by various ladies, but Liz does it best. She is thorough, efficient, friendly, and overall adorable. She makes the experience a lot less uncomfortable and my skin is always feeling very fresh and smooth. I went here again for the second time and it was a last minute trip, so I did not have Liz. Another staff name Tara helped me and she was also very nice and did a great, thorough job. I am also very satisfied with her care and work. What I really liked about this place (besides the staffs) that is it does not have a cancellation fee if you need to cancel within 24 hours of your appointment. Of course, don’t make this a bad habit because you can make them lose availability with another potential client. But sometimes life happens and you can’t make it to your appointments, so it is nice that you don’t get these fees. Another thing is that no matter how frequent you come in after your previous Brazilian, it is charged as a maintenance wax. Everyone’s hair is different, so it is nice that even though my preferred visit is every 3 months, I’m not charged extra with the rates of an initial Brazilian every time (I know Stript Wax Bar does NOT give you the maintenance rate if you don’t return approximately 6 weeks since your last one). Furthermore, I really enjoy supporting small businesses and this place really gives you the feels for it. It’s definitely a wax place worth to try.

I didn’t know about the Wax Bar until my long time esthetician Liz C. began working there. It is a small, quaint, and clean studio with high quality products. I definitely would recommend it.
I trust Liz with my skincare and hair removal needs. She recently began tinting my eyebrows, too (which I just LOVE!). Since entering my late 20s and now being 30, my skin definitely requires more significant care. I have been struggling with clogged pores on my hairline and forehead and visit Liz about every 6 weeks for extractions and to rejuvenate my skin. These facials have made a world of a difference. A lot of my problem areas have subsided and the advice she gives to maintain my skincare has been really valuable in my day-​to-​day routine.
Liz is also great at waxing. Her Brazilians are quick, efficient, and as close to being pain-​free as possible. And as I mentioned, she recently began tinting my eyebrows. I love how my eyebrows look after – pigmented, full, and nicely shaped. Prices are reasonable and comparable to the area as well. Definitely take some time to check out the great services Liz provides at the Wax Bar.

Rachel is no longer there, but I have been seeing Tara and she is lovely as well. She has a magic hand and I don’t get those little red bumps I used to get after waxing.

The lady who did my waxing was THEE nicest lady ever. I’ve unfortunately had my back waxed before so I knew what i was in for. A couple of times at other places they’ve left hair. A few other times they’ve left chunks of wax on my back. Not here, my back was a smooth as a baby’s butt. She left ZERO wax on my back. I was as impressed as I could be with the process, considering I was getting hair ripped off me!
Within a day my entire back was covered in red bumps. I didn’t think much of it, but was a little concerned because this had never happened before. Then I began getting super itchy. When I touched my back I could feel bumps that I could scratch off, like a ingrown hairs everywhere. Now a week or so later I have pimples filled with puss ALL OVER my back like a teenager going through puberty. Not real impressed and embarrassed to go to the pool.
I’m thinking whatever she put on my back after the waxing clogged all the pores. Not necessarily her fault because she’s probably just using what the shop purchases. But definitely should be a cause for concern.

Love this place! I have been coming here for close to 10 years and will never go anywhere else! Kim always makes sure to hire friendly people so I am always greeted with a smile and great conversations during my appointments.

Unfortunately Rachel has left and my latest experience was horrible. 2 stars for a clean environment. Rachel used to work here and was AMAZING! 15 minutes for a Brazilian, fairly painless and she made you feel at ease about having someone ripping hair from your lady bits. Well came in this morning and had a much different experience. First this new employee didn’t make you feel very at ease and she wasn’t really willing to get in there and do the job. She said a hard wax would be better, so I said ok, thinking she new what she was doing. Well she started applying the wax and immediately I new something was off because she was applying wax to areas that had no hair and not really «getting in there» to get areas that had hair– don’t want to get graphic but ladies should know what I mean. It got worse. She went to rip the long strip of wax and it pulled and broke. She tried again, again it pulled and broke. I suffered through 6 or 7 more rip and breaks before she had removed ONLY one section of wax from the inner area. One of the most painful experiences right there. Should’ve walked out but I let her finish. Well I’ve checked since leaving and I have a giant patch of hair between the back and front parts that she just didn’t even touch. Pretty pissed after paying $ 55 for her to excruciatingly rip my skin and not wax the areas that needed waxing. Will not ever go back and I suggest if you enjoy your skin you don’t either.

I have been trying to make an appointment online and it hasn’t been letting me. Is anyone else having this issue?

This place is amazing. I have always been squeamish about brazilian waxing but they made the process as quick and pain free as possible. I have been coming back regularly over the last year without any issues. I highly recommend The Wax Bar.

Awesome A++ experience. Rachel is a true professional and an artist. Forget waxing… Her knowledge of skin care is phenomenal. Went in there as a first time body wax client. She was gentle, informative, and an expert at what she does. I went in expecting a serious water-​boarding style torture session. I received 180-​deg opposite of that. Her attentiveness to me during the session and her mastery of the waxing technique really made for a relatively painless experience. Thank you Rachel! You’ve made a lifetime customer out of me.
To the few who gave a bad review because they had to wait a few minutes before she could get to them, news flash… your appointment time isn’t a train schedule where at 4:15 the train leaves the station. Schedules/​appointments at any people service business are unpredictable at best. It’s not unlike appointments with your doctor. He/​she can only guestimate how long a particular client will take. A 10 – 15 min delay is par for the course in these types of businesses. Don’t believe me? Try running one. So quit your whining and join the rest of us in the real world, eh?

Absolutely amazing. I will not go to anyone else to do my brow designs. They are FLAWLESS at what they do. It’s such a calming and relaxing experience going here, too. $ 20 for a brow design and well worth it. I’m a FREAK about how my eyebrows are done (and how others are done too, but that’s none of my business) and they have always done such a perfect job.

Best waxing experience ever. Everywhere else I’ve gone for a wax job, something is … off. Perhaps because I usually went to the places that offer a deal and you know if they are offering a deal then they probably need more customers. Customers that don’t really end up happy with their experience so they don’t come back.
I really liked Bri — she is so personable. The location is easy and really close to my home — parking was fine. She was fun to talk to, quick, and most importantly she did an extremely thorough job.
Appointments are 30 min long, but I was out of there in 15 min. Appreciate her working with me even though I showed up 5 min late. Super happy, will definitely be going back.

Bri is awesome! She somehow manages to remember where we left off from our conversation last time I saw her (3 to 4 weeks ago). She made me feel very comfortable for my very first (Brazilian) appointment. Their little studio is awesome, everyone that works there is super friendly.
Clean, professional and amazing!

I recently started coming here because I was becoming unhappy with my old waxer. The place is very cute and you a lot of privacy when getting waxed.
They keep the front door locked at all times, so it is only you and the person waxing you. Only downside is that if you come early or if the person is running behind, you are stuck outside for a while waiting. I also like the convenience of having the option to make appointments online.
I have seen Dawn about 3 times now to get my eyebrows done. She listened to everything about how I wanted my eyebrows to look and she also gave me suggestions to help achieve the look that I wanted.
I highly suggest making an appointment here!

Bri is AMAZING!!!
I have had my eyebrows waxed numerous times in my life but never consistently. I dreaded it because every time I did I broke out. I don’t mean one or two bumps, it was like a rash. I tried everything that was suggested and everything I could think of and nothing worked!
When I explained what my issues were to Bri, she knew exactly why it was happening. She explained things so I understood and told me what I needed to do to prevent my dreaded break out.
I followed her instructions and guess what… NO BREAK OUT!!!
And if that wasn’t enough… my eye brows!!! PREFECT!
With no breakouts I would have excepted an uneven botched job… but I didn’t have to!
The shape was perfect. She listened to what I wanted and made sure I was happy before I left.
Again all around AMAZING!!!

I started getting Brazilians done because I was tired of shaving, and didn’t like how my skin felt after shaving — never as smooth as I wanted it to be, coarse when the hairs grew out, and sometimes slightly itchy or uncomfortable as the hairs grew in. I’d gotten several sporadically while in college, but after moving back to Campbell for full-​time work from the San Diego area, I desperately wanted to find a well-​reputed, highly-​rated place to get regular maintenance for my bikini area.
My whole experience here before I ever set foot in The Wax Bar was amazing. I found The Wax Bar on Unilocal,and was tentatively ecstatic to see this place with a five-​star rating, with so many reviews!
MAKING APPOINTMENTS
The appointment-​making process was relatively painless, although it was pretty hard to schedule around my work schedule during business hours. I highly recommend making your appointments early, if you know that you have a special event coming up.
EMAIL /​CUSTOMER SERVICE
The first time, I couldn’t get an appointment (no available openings) before my trip, so I tried to wait list instead. Kim called me personally to ask about the appointment and give me a realistic wait, and even though I didn’t end up getting that appointment, she called again to see if I wanted to schedule a time to come in.
After I schedule my first appointment with Stacia, I had a lot of questions to ask her about how often I should get the Brazilians done, and how the add-​ons worked for the appointments. Not only was she patient with me while she answered my questions, but she also called me to help clarify some of her answers.
ATMOSPHERE /​ENVIRONMENT
The Wax Bar is very small, but it lends a coziness to the entire experience. There’s a coffee maker and a water cooler in the front lobby, and Stacia was very warm and inviting when I knocked on the door. She showed me around the place and explained how she worked; everything was neat and tidy, with a kind of earthiness and calm that I didn’t experience at the place I used to go to for my Brazilians.
PROCEDURE
Stacia was very informative the entire time I was there. She clearly knows what she’s doing — she explained the after care (tepid/​warm water, no hot shower until the next day, make sure to exfoliate gently) process, and what type of wax she would use (hard wax) and why (not as traumatic for the skin). She was very hygienic during the entire waxing — she wore gloves and didn’t double dip — and as gentle as you can be during a Brazilian.
I was amazed! The process wasn’t physically painful for me at all, and I felt very reassured and comfortable talking with Stacia during the entire process. She was genuinely interested in my life and what I was doing and how I’d gotten there. We had a wonderful conversation, and not once did I ever feel awkward.
PAYMENT
I paid by cash, though you can also pay by credit card. Stacia was so cool about me forgetting to bring enough cash for the tip — I was absolutely mortified, and her attitude about the whole thing absolutely justifies an even bigger tip than I had previously planned on giving her.
SUMMARY /​TIPS

I would definitely come here again. I’m so happy to have found a place so close to home, and I’m looking forward to trying their other services!
