Precision Z Service was founded in 1980 by Ed Kuebler and has grown to be the largest independent Nissan and Infiniti performance and service center in the San Fernando valley. Ed is dedicated to providing our community with top quality auto repair and performance upgrades for your Nissan and Infiniti car, SUV, minivan and truck.

Sean and the guys at Precision Z are top notch.
There was a valve timing problem with my ’06 350z. I took my car to three shops (including a dealership) and, after performing spark plug replacements and replacing injectors and clearing my check-​engine-​light, the issue still hadn’t been resolved. I found Precision Z on Unilocal and decided to bring my car to them.
I got the call from Sean saying they found the problem. As it turned out, the issue was a super rare one that happened with the version of the engine in the ’06 Zs. The diagnosis and repair came in such a timely fashion, and not once did I ever have to call and ask «what’s the status of my car?»
Moreso than fixing my car, they gave me peace of mind knowing that it was in good hands.
TL:DR The guys at Precision Z are consummate professionals who know what they’re doing and do it well. They handle business in a very transparent manor which is a change of pace from a lot of mechanic shops.

my family took my car may of last year to replace the battery. they told they had an excellent service. battery was replaced for a reasonable price with a 2 year warranty.
fast forward today, i had a serious issue with my car. it was very intermittent (happened once but since seriously dangerous). Sean was upfront and honest with me that if it only happened once, it is very difficult to resolve the issue.
Thanks to Sean, i just found out that there were two issues that are already covered by Nissan recalls and recommended to take it to a dealership to fix the recalls issue.
I’d definitely go back in the future.

These guys are the best!
I used to work at a local rental car store and became very familiar with ALL of the local service shops. I knew who specialized in what vehicles and who was honest and who did good work. So when I purchased my first infinity in 2003, I knew exactly who to go to! Sean, Ed and the rest of the team give me honest recommendations and always make sure that my car is maintained properly. They do solid work in a timely manner all while providing an excellent customer experience.
I now have an infinity that I’ve owned since 2010 with over 180,000 miles on it. Precision Z has taken care of my vehicle from day 1. Sean always makes sure to explain the work that is being done/​recommended and is great at answering any questions I might have.
If you are looking for an honest service shop that does excellent work and puts their customers first, look no further than Precision Z!

I’d been looking for a good shop for my 07 350z and found Precision Z online. Despite a couple of recent negative reviews I decided to give them a try, and I was not disappointed. Came in to swap my end links and get an alignment, and while the car was up on the rack they found my toe bolts had been installed in the wrong place (common issue I later found out). Had them reinstalled correctly, and they even took care of the rear axle clicking noise the dealerships say have no fix, all for a more than reasonable and fair price. Ed, Shawn and Pete are who I dealt with, and they were all very knowledgeable and helpful. I will definitely be coming back.

Just like to say that I’ve been a customer of Precision Z since 2006. Have nothing but good things to say about them. Yeah, some folks may have had issues with them. However, not to knock anyone, but different folks take things differently than others. Now as far as getting your Z fixed and running great, Pete, Sean & Ed really do their jobs. They are sincere, and that’s golden in this realm! I have two Z’s a ’95 Z-​32 convertible that’s super rare and modified and a Z-​33 roadster, (also ‘enhanced’). My cars will continue to be serviced here. Now expect to here some grief if you cheap out on things and got/​do shoddy work on your Z. However, any GOOD shop does the same. This shows that they have high standards and that’s why I go there.

Just look at ALL those 5-​Star ratings customers give Precision Z. I AM NOT SURPRISED. They are the BEST. I had a stalling problem with my ’81 280Z. There was a grinding noise coming from the fuel pump. It would stop pumping, hence the stalling. I took it to mechanic after mechanic and they all changed the fuel pump. I had three pumps put in. NO solution. I took it to Precision Z. Ed diagnosed the problem and FIXED it! He found, naturally, that it was something in the cycle BEFORE the pump. Something was MAKING the pump grind and stop pumping — the fuel pressure was WAY high. He fixed it and that was a wrap. The pump now worked perfectly, and no more stalling! I’ll never go anyplace else. Bravo Ed!!!

I have used Ed and Sean since my first 280 Z in 1980. Several Nissan Maximas later, they are the only people that I would ever allow to service my Nissan Maxima. They always make sure my car is running in tip top shape. I can’t say enough good things about them. Always fair and definitely honest.

I have been doing business with Precision Z service for going on 14 yr. Ed & Pete and all of their staff are very professional and they know these Z cars inside and out, when they do a repair its done right the first time and it is done very well, after all these guys have been working on these vehicles for over 40 yrs. They have always gave me good info on what is going on with the vehicle and they have great expertise and know what to do in each situation, They explain everything you need to know and what needs to be done. All of my repairs have been done well where I know that I won’t have to worry about it again. Their shop is very clean and they all have the best High tech equipment & tools to do a great job.
I highly recommend them, you will not be disappointed. I Love These guys and their shop !!

Sorry. but i can’t read all of that. What little I did get is that you’re questioning my sanity. Typical good ol boy bs response… just like you’re inability to except responsibility when you’re customers catch on to your scams and conive.
They say sanity is the menial difference between a gray area reflecting back a dark and light illusion somewhere between the nonsense of ones third eye and collective reason. similar to how reason is just God’s quest to give man a group of connected ideas to prove that he doesn’t exist. However. I don’t believe in God anymore. except at times like these when catching on to your concept of trying to play it with my wallet and patience .so I guess we’re back to the nonsense?
Businesses that write three page responses to my reviews insisting their innocence while going great lengths to try and prove their denial speak wonders for my becoming sanity.
Don’t worry. I won’t be returning.
Got everything done for a fraction of the price elsewhere.

I have an infinity and ran into an emergency transmission problem. I brought my car in, and Shawn was able to spot what was wrong right away. The service was fast, and I could tell that everyone working on my car was detail oriented. I’m a pretty routined person and hate emergencies that interfere with my schedule so I really appreciated how they explained to me what was going on and how they were going to fix it so I knew how to plan my day accordingly. I also felt like they didn’t over charge and gave me a really good deal! Probably the best service and experience I’ve had in a long time with an auto shop. I would highly recommend going here if you have a Nissan or Infiniti.

Had a great experience with Precision Z, my G37 was down for the count and no other mechanic could figure out what was wrong with it. Sean was able to diagnose the problem and get my car back on the road again. Precison Z was in constant contact and gave me detailed information on what it would take to get my car running again. DO NOT bring your classic Z here. Not only did they have no knowledge base or input regarding specialty work, they also tried to keep parts I had paid for online. I needed front turn signals, had a whole front valance delivered. Also ordered new headers, as I wanted the shiny…
Well, when I asked them where the rest of my valance was, and my old headers were, they said «thrown out» well I saw them stashed behind the building and that was that.

Decided to visit Precision Z after my ’06 350Z lost power on the freeway and tripped a bunch of warning lights. I was weary from previous experiences with the dealership and decided to try this local Z shop. They very professional, friendly, and well informed about my car.
I called ahead and they said to come in for a diag test. They found the problem (bad cam sensor), fixed it, and I was driving away in under 2 hours. Keep in mind, this was without an appointment and they were servicing other cars. This would be a day long saga at the Nissan dealer.
The service was a good price. I’m very happy with their work and the overall experience was fantastic. This is the ONLY place I am getting my Z serviced at from now on. Thanks guys!

Bought a 2005 G35 Coupe last year and have only had it serviced by this amazing shop! They tell you everything you need to know and always answer your questions and are willing to install parts you buy elsewhere! Their prices are good and I don’t mind spending and extra buck or two just to know that my car is being serviced to oem specs!

This is by far the most amazing auto repair shop I have ever been to! Sean and Ed are experts with all Nissan and Infiniti vehicles while being honest and affordable. They were able to point out that previous repairs I had made on my Infiniti G35 by a different shop were faulty. Not only did Precision Z correct the problems with my steering and suspension, but I was also able to file claims against the companies that had put the faulty parts in my vehicle. I was refunded a good amount which helped offset my cost as well.
Bottom Line: These guys really know what they are doing and will treat you with respect. Don’t bother going anywhere else!

Called for an appointment. I was late but they still had the time to look at my car.
Luckily it was nothing major but they put my mind at ease for now. Good service. Very clear and reasonable price: D I drive a 1996 G20 if you’re wondering and it had EGR and Knock fault codes.
