I was looking for someone to come fix a clock on a very heavy piece of jade. Jonathan came and examined it, removed the clockworks and returned them in less than two weeks completely repaired. He is very knowledgable and skilled.

Jonathan is a highly talented and skilled craftsman. He has repaired a wide variety of clocks I have collected — some in pretty bad condition. But Jonathan has been able to bring them all back from the dead. Unlike many clock repairmen Jonathan can fabricate new parts when needed and I have many working clocks thanks to his wizardry. My grandfather clock suffered some damage in the course of a move (inflicted by the owner, not the movers). Jonathan came to my house, assessed the damage, took it away and repaired it as promised, on time, and under budget; and also provided numerous care tips and preventative maintenance. I inherited a grandfather clock from my grandparents which was shipped to me with all of the insides taken out and in a box. I knew that the clock had been in my family since the 20’s and was excited about the prospect of having it in my own home ringing on the hour like in my grandparents’ house for as long as i can remember.
However, I opened the box and realized quickly that I probably shouldn’t touch anything and that i needed help putting the pieces back together again by a professional. After scouring Unilocal for clock repair shops and making a few calls I stumbled upon Jonathan who was willing to drive out to my house and help me.
After taking a look at all of the pieces and realizing that my grandfather was a «mr. fix-​it» he recommended that I have some work done on the clock so that it would run properly and sound the way it should (it sounded pretty sickly…). So the initial visit was free and a week or so later (after a bit of phone tag) he drove out again and put my lovely clock back together again.
Jonathan showed me how the clock worked and gave me some tips to make sure the clock will stay running for many years to come. The clock sounds great, and though I hope that i won’t need his services again in a long time, I would highly recommend him to others.
