Every time I have been in here, the workers have either been rude, condescending, or just not knowledgable about what they’re talking about. Once I tried to buy 3 feet or so of kanthal and they tried to charge me over $ 100. I told them that this couldn’t be right but the employee insisted that since it was a larger gauge, thats how much it was. I insisted they were wrong and looked at her screen and she was trying to ring me up for 3 spools of kanthal. Events similar to this happen almost every time I have gone here. This place is no good.

I just started to pick up on vaping again. Went in there and got the best customer service from a guy named Aaron. He’s so awesome, I got the best deals and he was super understanding of my budget. I recommend going in and finding Aaron. Loved my visit here.

Updated: I’ve been a customer for eleven months or so, and I’m still impressed! I’ve had a great experience every time I’ve been at Beyond Vape. Once a month I come in for all my supplies, and I’ve been waited on by a few different members of the staff, and every one of them has been friendly and helpful! Unparalleled selection, and a continuing tradition of great service makes this an easy choice for my vaping needs.

This review summary= I have spent a lot here and really don’t feel like there is much interest in my business beyond each individual sale.
Iv’e been vaping for two years and this is the first shop I ever went to. I have shopped here since. Even as recently as two days ago. The reason for the three stars is that I just find many of the shops in the past couple years to be better. Most are in San Jose where I live, but I have friends in SC so I am in town quite a bit. To be honest, I only stop here to try to find a new flavor. I don’t come here for a value or because it has any redeeming quality that sets it apart.
I know I have spent hundreds of dollars here, and could very well be over a thousand. It’s been a long time to remember over two years
Unfortunately, as far as I can recall, the only thing I can remember getting for being a loyal customer is emails announcing an event or a coupon offer that was never extravagant. Typical 10 – 20 percent off something.
All of the better shops will offer a considerable discount if you buy more or have some sort of loyalty rewards. These give me reason to buy something that most everybody else carries even when the price is not always the lowest.
This place will continue to make about 10% of what it easily should be making off me. This would easily be over a thousand bucks annually like the other shops where this happens. They show more interest in my return business.

I had been hesitating on diving into the vape world because I am an old fashioned type of lady who is pretty addicted to the tactile ritual of igniting things on fire and putting them in my mouth. I met Christine at my work and she suggested I come in to see her about quitting smoking tobacco (I’ve been smoking since I was 15 — I’m now 34). She suggested I come in on Friday evenings for Happy Hour, and further discuss quitting smoking tobacco. I went in on a Friday and Christine wasn’t working, but I had the pleasure of meeting Jackson, who was very patient with me and I could tell he wasn’t trying to upsell me or hustle me on anything, which won my instant trust. I really appreciated his non-​pushyness, and ability to relate to my personal story (he quit smoking tobacco with vaporizers, and had recently helped his mom quit cigarettes too). It was really helpful to me to talk to someone about my struggle and addiction, and have them understand and spend so much time with me and my personal needs (amount of nicotine milligrams, to use and then when to lower my dosage, etc.) He even suggested a smaller vape pen because I didn’t like how the big ones felt very un-​cigarette like. I walked out of the shop having spent less than $ 25 for the vape pen and for my juice! I am on day 4 of not smoking tobacco cigarettes. I am cranky, yes, but I am strong and am going to do this! Thank you Christine for your encouragement and pleasantness, and Jackson for being a caring and thorough salesperson. You’re my vaping angels, and my lungs love you!

I prefer this vape shop because they stand behind their products they sell. I have had many different issues during my venture into the vaping world (vaping is a learning process for sure) Any little issue I had, the staff at Beyond Vape Capitola was able to troubleshoot my device and answer my questions. I had a defective tank at one time as well, it was leaking very bad the staff figured out that it was machined incorrectly and they happily replaced it for me. The staff is patient and kind, they have 100s of juices to sample and buy, I really recommend coming here and checking it out for yourself!

It was «okay» when I go into a shop that is that known I expect it to be a better experience. The only reason why I am giving this shop 2 stars is for the shop being nice inside. Customer service was horrible besides the the gentlemen who I purchased juice from.
Before that I was in the shop for about 20 min looking around without any assistance. If I had to rate the build it was a D+ I’m from out of town but still purchased 10 bottles of snap and 5 of th3riac

Today I bought two bottles of juice from this location. One of the two was almost a year old, and when I went back to let them know of their mistake in selling me a bottle that is six months past its best if used by date they refused to do anything about it. Instead of simply trading it for a usable product, they told me they could not take it back because it was expired but then tried to explain that it was fine anyway. I paid before receiving the bottle, so there was no way I could have even checked. I understand that PG and VG both last around 2 years on the shelf, but there is no guarantee that the flavor chemicals will not break down into dangerous byproducts. I am extremely disappointed with Beyond Vape, and will not be bringing my business back.

Charging for builds, shady looks when asking to buy kanthal (by the foot, I guess spools really are too hard to sell…) blatant lies about product. This place stays in business because of an uneducated consumer base. Here’s an example, a friend of mine has purchased 4 RDA’s from this store and not one has come with anything other than the tank itself. Where are the extra screws, screwdriver/​Alan, extra o-​rings, a set of coils… anything. When I asked if the Tugboat came with any of aforementioned items the person behind the counter jeered at me and stated «none of the atty’s come with that stuff. I own 2 Tugs, guess what they came with…
Beyond vape is a scam, they really prey on those with little knowledge. Since moving from the area I can’t believe we ever spent a dime in this place. Go for the premium juices, leave quick, and hopefully you won’t get treated like absolute garbage if you mention anything knowledgeable about vaping.
From the first time I purchased a product through this location I have had nothing but issues. My original device broke minuets after leaving the store and when I returned I was told «Uh. I don’t really know if I can replace this.» 45 minuets later after arguing with the manager I had another product. It broke about a week later. The last time I was in both my girlfriend and I were treated like trash, I guess the sales — woman didn’t approve of our friend asking us for help instead of her. Chick was too busy trying to blow «sick clouds!»
Seriously disgusted by this shop. Do some research before going in. Watch some vids on what is included from the manufacturer. I’m pretty sure removing things from factory before sales is ILLEGAL.
Also 90% of these good reviews are from the store bribing people. 10% off for showing an employee that you have left a review, come on like your going to post «this place sucks» then show an employee. So anyone at Unilocal reviewing these, you might want to look into that.

Before I get into this review I have been vaping for over 2 years with about 1 ½ years of mechanical mod experience and rebuilds. Im no expert, and overall I always have a good experience there. But just like anything there is room for improvement.
First off the pros: I like the store. Its nice, clean, and there are always people in there to talk to and friendly staff. They have a good selection of mods/​and juices and a nice vapor bar****.
Cons (constructive criticism)
****Vape bar is where all the mods are displayed. Soooo when im trying to see what products they have, I got about 3 guys at the «vape bar» in the way of the display. Its not a huge con, but when you are trying flavors you don’t wanna rush because there are people behind you waiting, or have peeps lookin over you.
If you plan on getting a rebuild there, they charge money. A lot of places don’t, some do. But when you buy a 200 dollar mod, and get charged 8 dollars (7 or 8 I cant remember exactly, but it was over 5 bucks) for a rebuild its like what??? I can get 100FT of kanthol or Nichrome for about that same price.
I had 4 coils built there. 2 of them I rebuilt as soon as I got home. One of them was on an aga t4. It didn’t even produce vapor. I tried to get a new one done, but «it takes a bit for them to heat up». –_​– cmon man… then it was because the «battery wasn’t fully charged». Full charged still didn’t produce shit. The second one, middle post dislodged, and spinning freely. It was a year old atty so whatever im just glad I realized it before I got a hard short.
Overall good experience, just make your own coils…
Edit: I was contacted by the owner. You get a free rebuild with new mod purchases now.

I’ve been going to Beyond Vape regularly for just under a year. Initially I was impressed by their large selection of products, and the fact that you can sample juices, but they’ve been hit and miss when it comes to customer service. Usually, the employees are nice enough, but I’ve received some misinformation about products in the past, and it always feels like a very unprofessional retail store. On top of that, their prices are a bit high compared to the competition (and even to their own website, which has lower prices on some products). Recently though, I visited Beyond Vape and was stunned to hear an employee make extremely inappropriate, homophobic remarks.
I should note, the reason I’ve given them 2 stars, rather than 1, is because I’ve already called Beyond Vape’s corporate office to complain, and they were very nice, and assured me that they agree the employee’s behavior (detailed below) was unacceptable, and that they will be taking action to correct the issue. So, kudos to them, hopefully they get their issues sorted out.
My partner and I went in on a Saturday evening in early April to sample and purchase some juices, and the store was fairly quiet, with just two other customers, who appeared to be friends of the employees. An employee behind the counter greeted us (well, they looked up and said «hey») and we looked at the juice menu. They were pretty busy chatting, I felt like I was at a bar, fighting for attention. Eventually I just started calling out juices.
The store was pretty hazy from vapor, it doesn’t bother me too much, but it cheapens the feel of the place. They might consider installing better ventilation. Also, occasionally employees across the counter exhale vapor directly at your face, which is jarring.
Shortly before checkout, a male employee (did not get his name) was chatting with two customers/​friends about the rapper M&M, saying something about how he somehow «came out of the closet», and now his music makes sense knowing he’s «been taking it up the a**».
He was not even being discrete, I could hear him plainly from where I was standing a few feet away. I was pretty shocked. I don’t really care what you want to talk about with your friends, but it seems like common sense not to make homophobic remarks (using foul language, none-​the-​less) in front of customers. He then got into an argument with another employee, who I assume was the manager/​lead (who didn’t seem to care what went on in the store) about the length of a break. We paid and left in a hurry.
Update ⁴⁄₁₄: I called Beyond Vape to report this to them directly before I wrote this review. Unfortunately, the manager was unavailable when I called, but they have since called me back, and the manager Sarah was very nice. She apologized profusely for the employee’s inappropriate behavior, and made no excuses for the incident. I’m very impressed at the response from the corporate office and the store manager, they took this incident very seriously and I felt they were genuinely concerned. A Beyond Vape representative has also responded to this review (which you can see below). As such, I’ve updated this review and raised my rating from 2 stars to 3.

I don’t vape but my boyfriend does and he loves it as do I! The people here are always friendly and when I come in myself they always make it a pleasant visit and it is a great atmosphere as well!

Customer service With Jay was above and Beyond. Will return. They will get direct purchases from me opposed to «the deal on the internet» due to this customer service.

I had a bad experience here once and recently went back and the people were nicer and more helpful and there was a sale, and I’ll def be back. In love with this place again!

We are new to vapes and mistakenly walked into this place because of the Unilocal reviews. Don’t trust the false reviews for this shop as they are way over rated. Their reviews must be from their headquarters, sales staff and friends trying to hype the place. The five star ratings for this place are pure hype and not factual. Check the photos out to get the feel of the place, especially the multiple photos of the Big scruffy bearded guy. There are plenty of one and two star reviews on this place for a good reason. Buyer Beware !!! Read those reviews first as they are more accurate insight to their practices.
The place looks like a steam bath from folks smoking in the sales room.
Ask about their return policy first before you buy anything here.
Do not expect that they have a return policy that is common to most consumer goods. These folks will not return a dime for items still in factory wrapped original condition.
This is not a good place to buy and we regret having fallen into this money trap.
Truth

As far as i cam tell a nice selection of products, however we had a aggressive (very good apparently) salesperson who didn’t point out returns are only for defects not hard unused products within 30 days. Very disappointed with the return policy, not thrilled with the overpriced products and wished I’d bought elsewhere where the sales staff really try to help you find what’s best for you rather than their most expensive items. Will not return, I’d rather buy online with customer reviews as I’d get a product more suited for me than sold to me here.
Live and learn…

Heck I live in Sacramento. Santa Cruz Beyond Vape shop is worth it! Love the Whole set up from inside. Got greeted, Asked questions and answered with satisfaction and suggestions. Got the Beacon, My atomizer, coils built, and my most favorite, «The Vial: Sweet Fragaria Pasteque.» They gave advice and instructions on how to build the coils and reviews to look on how to put in the cotton myself (Which would be taught on youtube). I’d love to come back to Beyond Vape as the guys there are Hella Awesome! They had a whole selection of Flavors/​Brands of ELiquids.
I gave this a 5 star because like i said above, Guys are awesome, they don’t rush you, they give you suggestions and tips. This shop is easy to spot and won’t miss it! As my first time here, I know I’m not a common customer here because of how far I live but I was told by friends to come to this place… and This is by far the best place… I’m hoping they will open up another Beyond Vape in Sacramento so I could buy more loads of stuff from them!!! I’m mainly looking for «The Vial» as it’s my most favorite brand and different types of flavors from that brand so Beyond Vape will be my place to get them at.

I would recommend coming to this store if you want that good stuff but this is my opinion so like I said, Go check them out and see what there is!

As always Jessica took great care of me. Showing me everything I wanted to see. She always gives great advice and knows the products very well. I come from Salinas to here because off her great service and the good selection of great and juices. Last visit I bought a Beacon mood very happy with it and it is now my main mechanical mod great place!
