Glenn was polite and punctual! He made sure my washing machine was spinning correctly, he changed out one part, then leveled and balanced my machine. What a difference! I would recommend Glenn to any family member or friend needing an appliance repair. He really knows his stuff!

After waiting a week an appointment, Glenn came to install a new dishwasher, standard size to replace an old one. After 15 minutes he very rudely told me he was leaving, that it it wouldn’t fit. Said the instructions said it needed 34 inches, and the dishwasher would not fit in a 33 ⁷⁄₈ slot. Managed to insinuate that I’m an idiot for ordering the wrong size, insisted there was no way to get it in.
However it’s not clear on what basis he left without doing the job, because I callled a local handyman for a second opinion, he came right away, and actually measured it, said it did not seem to be a problem, installed it ithe next day in a little over and hour, and it’s working great!
Not sure really what Glenn’s problem is, but certainly politeness and positive attitude seem to be a challenge for him.

Called on a Sunday night and left a message. I got a call back at 8am Monday morn to set up an appt to fix my dryer. The first available wasn’t until another week. But I appreciate the quick returned call and effort to get me appt. Unfortunately bc I needed my dryer fixed sooner rather than later, I had to go with another company. But again, I appreciated Derricks quick response to my call.

Glenn returned my phone call, diagnosed a problem with my refrigerator’s circuit board, came at the appointed time & replaced the circuit board. Final price was LESS than the estimate. If you’re interested in keeping an appliance going – check with Glenn before buying a new one.

Derrick’s Appliance had better things to do. I created a drip at the bottom of my dishwasher by poking to see if there was a dead rat at the back of the dishwasher. Unable to remove the dishwasher or to repair the drip myself, I contacted Derrick’s. It took Mr. Derrick five days to return my call. Then, upon hearing that there might be a dead rat involved, he said he would not come out. I was flabbergasted! I reminded him of all the good reviews, but all he would do was suggest someone else to come out. Given the number of days it took Derrick’s Appliance to return a phone call and the owner’s refusal to come out, I can understand why some of the more recent reviews are highly negative.

Pretty surprised at the positive reviews. I left a message on the voice mail about getting my washing machine repaired. No one ever bothered to call me back. I won’t try again.

I read the good and bad reviews. They are 1 of 2 locally who can repair front loading washers so I figured I’d give them a try. I played phone tag for 2 days which was a little frustrating. He did give me an estimate that was right in target after I described the problem. He had my part in stock and arrived on time for my scheduled appointment. I first called on a Thursday, we finally spoke Friday and he came to repair the washer the following Wednesday. It works good so far, doesn’t seem to be self filling anymore. I would use them again.

Just used Derrick’s Appliance for the first time to have an oven repaired. It had been dying a slow death for several months. Thanks to Glen I am now cooking again! Glen was top notch — on time, friendly, fair, and knowledgeable. I plan to call Derrick’s Appliance next time I need a repair. Thanks Glen!

Glen fixed a clothes washing machine for us … when the new motor didn’t work, he came back and replaced it with the correct motor … showed-​up right-​on-​time and did a good job … highly-​reccommended.

Derrick’s Appliance was prompt, professional & got right to the issue– putting in a new motor — for a now functioning freezer; clean & without complications = 5 stars.

Derrick’s appliance fixed my refrigerator quickly and told me what to look for should I ever experience the problem again so that I can fix it myself. What a guy. Will definitely use them again.

I’ve used Derrick’s twice now, once for a washing machine repair, and once to fix the water /​ice part of the refrigerator door. On both repairs, Glen was able to quickly diagnose the problem, and fix it. The washer needed a part, which he had in the truck. The freezer issue was that 4 out of the 5 wires in a bundle that activated the water /​ice /​and light on the freezer door were frayed and split. He got tools, and soldered the wires together, and it worked again. He also vacuumed out the area behind the face plate (which was pretty awful), so now the fridge can «breathe» again. Glen knows appliances, and his work is reasonable and excellent.

Derrick’s is the only appliance repair company I use. He’s on time, fair priced and fixed it rite the first time. But most important trust worthy in your home.

Years ago I had a home warranty program. Things were breaking down left and right. The service sent out a lot of really sketchy operations– people who didn’t show up, when they did, they were late… sometimes days late. When they did show up often things weren’t fixed right. Then there was the day that Glenn of Derrick’s Appliance showed up like a knight in shining armor. I have not used another appliance service since. He is timely, will try his best to squeeze you in when there’s an emergency, he’s honest, flexible, clean, and professional. I’m very happy with Derrick’s.

I would highly recommend Derrick’s Appliance. My dishwasher wouldn’t start, and after reading reviews of other appliance repair places, I was getting worried about finding someone to fix it whom I could trust. From the first call, Derrick’s was professional — I got an appointment within a two-​hour time frame, and Glenn was on time. He immediately found the problem but rather than just leaving, checked to make sure the various cycles were working and gave me some tips on how take care of it.

Very disappointing experience. our dishwasher needed repair, Derricks was in our network for our home warranty policy. When they showed, they worked for 2 hours, claimed it was fixed. Then less then a week later same problem, it took them more than a week to even call us back and only then after we complained to the warranty company. They never showed for their return appointment. So now we are using another company to complete the repair.
