If we could give Dave and his team at RPM a higher rating, we would! Dave and his team worked around the clock to help us buy our first home. The transparency of Dave really helped us enjoy the process of something that can be stressful. The open communication (calls and email) eased our minds and we were never in the dark. I cannot speak highly enough of Dave Pennington and his team. As first time home buyers, my husband and I needed a lot of hand holding through the mortgage process, and Dave walked us though every step of the way. We had actually worked with a few lenders (through our realtor) but were not really happy with our experience. That’s when I turned to Unilocal to find a new lender. And we were so glad we called Dave. He ended up saving us so much time and money when he found out right away that a condo we were hoping to purchase was in litigation. I felt like Dave not only cared about us as clients but also as people. He followed up with us even after the deal was made just to check in. It’s rare to find that in a lender. Like many other people, I found Dave through Unilocal.After the initial phone consult, I knew right away he was very knowledgable and Dave has exceeded my expectations throughout the whole process. He was quick to respond by phone or email and would often contact me for updates and questions!
There were many moving parts in funding my loan and Dave was ready way before my buyer’s loan processed. I closed on my house and Dave was so quick we funded the next day!

My wife and I have used a few lenders over the course of our lives and I can say that hands down, bar none, Dave is absolutely the best that we have worked with. We recently refinanced and Dave gave us multiple options, was very creative and the result was better than we could have hoped for. I should also mention that we had talked with other lenders previously but none of them were able to put together the same package as Dave.
Not only did Dave deliver on the actual loan but he was always there to answer our questions, always on top of all the documentation (so we didn’t need to resubmit multiple times) and would follow up and call us to make sure that we were totally comfortable. My wife and I were both thinking «what’s the catch» but there was none! It was perfect!

I’ve done a lot of loans in the past, and six or seven in the last seven years as I bought several investment properties plus sold my primary home and moved to Fallbrook earlier this year. The reason I mention this is because I am fully aware that the loan process has gotten more difficult since the real estate meltdown of 2008. Dave understands all the new rules and requirements that have come in to play during this time, and knows how to navigate these new rules to get your loan done on time and with the best possible rate. It’s always a headache going through the loan process wether you are purchasing or refinancing, and I can tell you that Dave was able to keep the hassle to a minimum. He will be our guy in the future when we need financing without hesitation.

My wife and I decided on Dave as our lender after reading several Unilocal reviews. As first time home buyers we were really not aware of how stressful the home buying process was. Choosing Dave was really one of the few things that went very well in our experience. He is extremely responsive by phone or email at pretty much all hours of the day to answer any questions that we had. He also has incredible support with his assistant Donna, who was equally as helpful and always made great effort to get our loan finalized ahead of schedule.
In short, Dave made buying a foreclosed property as pleasant as it could be. Not only did Dave get us the best rate in town, he even went above and beyond to check on the repairs schedule when I had trouble with our Realtor.
