For over 25 years, I have had the pleasure of speaking to businesses, schools, including colleges and the military on the subject of saving lives. We are born learning and that will never stop as our minds are constantly in motion. Even in our sleep our brains communicate with us by giving us the opportunity to talk to ourselves where nobody can here it. The questions is, what are we talking about? Are we talking about ways, to succeed or are we talking about ways to fail. I talk about both as you make choices to succeed and to fail. I will show and give you reasons to make the right choice where you can succeed.

During my 10 years in the military as part of the medical department, I went that extra mile by helping people who made bad choices. After leaving the military, I started working as a paramedic for San Diego County. My work brought me closer to babies, kids and adults dying from drunken driving related collisions and other bad choice situations. Some are unconscious and not breathing but with a pulse. They suffer injuries that are so horrific that to see it is to believe it. They leave grieving families behind. Losing my daughter when she was 14 years old, I could connect well with the grieving families. In my speeches, I talk about her and describe what it’s like for a parent to lose a child. Violence includes spouse or child abuse, drug abuse, alcohol abuse and bullying. Violence is a problem and not an answer.
