Meet the Business Owner

Betty M.

Business Owner

Did you go to high school with someone who absolutely loved word problems? Do you wonder how anyone could love word problems?

Well, I’m that person. I’ve always loved math. I love calculating and coming to the correct answer every time. When I took an accounting class at Carlsbad High School, I knew from then on that’s what I wanted to do, and I’ve been working in that field ever since.

I worked my way through CSU Chico, taking accounting-related jobs wherever I could, and earned a Bachelor of Business Administration, Finance degree in 1990. After graduating I worked in the accounting field at North County companies for the next 11 years. But in 2001 I decided it was time to head out on my own. Not everyone is cut out for bookkeeping. That’s what I love about my job — I make sure everything balances to the penny every month, and when I complete their year, I put everything into a neat financial package ready for their CPA.
