Captain Cook’s is San Diego’s #1 mobile Kids Cooking School. We come to your home, clubhouse, school or private venue for the most unique kids birthday parties and hands-​on cooking classes in San Diego. We teach kids how to prepare interesting kid friendly food using natural, organic ingredients. We believe that when you introduce a child to the joys of cooking, you set the foundation for a lifetime of healthy eating habits. We offer summer camps and holiday workshops.

History

Established in 2008.

We’ve been cooking with kids in San Diego since 2008 and have been featured on Fox News, NBC News, San Diego Living, and KUSI. We’ve also partnered with GOT MILK for a National healthy eating campaign and continue to promote organic eating throughout our community with cooking demos at local Farmers Markets and speaking engagements.

Business Owner

Karen grew up in Vermont, where farming and organic eating are a way of life. Her earliest and fondest memories of cooking came from spending time in the kitchen with her English Grandmother. Karen went on to get her Masters Degree in Hotel Restaurant Management at UNLV and began her 18 year long career in hotel and restaurant industry. Her and her husband share a common interest in their love for cooking and are able to share their passion with their 2 children as well.
