Great box. Good owners, good trainers and a good environment. Glad they let me keep coming back.

Good CrossFit gym comes with good coaching. Stopped by for a noon class the other day and Chris (owner/​coach) was welcoming. He was very detailed with his instructions treated his members as family. Definitely stop by the gym to check it out.

I dropped in for a couple of days at Carlsbad Crossfit while attending a conference, and thought it was a great facility and welcoming environment. Both coaches that I met were excellent, and the workouts were well programmed.
If I’m ever back in Carlsbad I’ll definitely be stopping in again.

My husband did a drop in workout this morning while we are visiting Legoland and said they were great. He liked the owner and could tell they are a well run place. He wants to go back!

Great box, great coach, great atmosphere. I dropped in this morning for the 5:30 class coached by Amy. Despite the early start, she was very in tune with her athletes and she certainly knows her stuff. The facility has everything you need.

Out bar hopping tonight and got carded twice. Thank you Carlsbad crossfit. I went from couch potato to double unders, hand stand push ups, 32 inch box jumps, rope climbs, and oh… Heavy ass weights. Great coaching, fun crowd, good times.

I’ve been working out here for 5 months now. It’s the best gym experience I’ve ever had. I grew up playing team sports through college, and I’m a Marine, so I know what it means to go through an intense, meaningful workout. At the same time, I’m married with two kids, so I also appreciate an efficient workout. Carlsbad Crossfit is friendly to fire breathers and families, which makes it a great fit for anyone.
The staff is very friendly and approachable. No one is left in the dust; they make sure everyone is prepared for the workouts and they scale workouts for individuals as needed. If you are an intermediate/​advanced athlete, they will push you to work harder and get better without being overbearing. Carlsbad Crossfit also has a good team atmosphere, and everyone is always encouraging.
I have not been a member of any other crossfit affiliate, so I can’t compare, but I’d argue it’s probably hard to beat the people and programming at Carlsbad Crossfit.

I have been to many of the Crossfit boxes in the area and the coaching and community at Carlsbad Crossfit is by far the best.
I’m in my 50’s and after two years of scaling movements like handstand push-​ups, the coach’s spent time with me and now I can do them as well as many other movements I thought I could never do. When it comes to oly and power lifting with the coach’s help I have moved past plateaus and I am now PR’ing every month if not weekly from the great Programing and coaching!
If your a novice, mid or competitive athlete this is your box and you will be challenged.
The community is great and very inclusive both in and out of the box. If you want a strong community and a lot of choices for out of the box social activity we have it!

Love me some Crossfit Carlsbad! The coaches are an amazing combination of extremely friendly and highly knowledgeable. I don’t live in Carlsbad, but I ended up being in town for one of the open workouts. Coach Chris was extremely accommodating and enthusiastically judged me for the workout. I have family in Carlsbad, so I now have a great gym to look forward to for each visit. Highly, highly recommend this place!

I’m from out of town, but whenever I am in Carlsbad, I make sure to stop by Carlsbad Crossfit. The owners are super friendly & knowledgeable. I can’t say enough about how welcome both the coaches and members make us feel whenever we stop by. Prior to the WOD, the trainers make sure we get in a good warm-​up and do some mobility drills. During the WOD, the trainers really pay attention to form and correct when needed. I’ve visited a lot of Crossfit gyms and there are definitely trainers out there who will let you get away with improper form during a WOD. The coaches at Carlsbad Crossfit, on the other hand, pay attention to form during the WOD and give coaching cues to help correct form. As a former gymnast, I appreciate their knowledge/​tips re: gymnastics movements. I never thought it was possible, but Rick encouraged me to attempt a free-​standing handstand push-​up, which was something I never thought I’d be able to do! I highly recommend Carlsbad Crossfit!

Great place to drop in if your in the area (My father and I were from Phoenix, Arizona). Rick and Chris are top of the line instructors. Both of them were really attentive to posture, correct form and most importantly they knew the science of the body which is typically unusual for the mediocre crossfit trainer. They noticed many of my flexibility issues, mainly to do with my hamstrings to glutes to lower back. Rick stayed about an hour after the wod to give my dad and I some stretches and mobility exercises to work on for our areas of weakness. Great classes, welcoming and positive atmosphere and coaching was more than fantastic! I will definitely be going back there when we travel out to the San Diego area again.

I cannot say enough about how amazing this place is. The coaches are great — and they pay attention to you throughout your workout, no matter your skill level. The community is great and everyone is incredibly supportive.
When I came in the door, I was probably in the worst shape of my life and every time I struggled there was someone (lots of them actually) encouraging me not to give up. At first, I really struggled with everything and the coaches gave me the attention I needed to improve (and, most importantly, not hurt myself).
C2 is a truly great place — it’s made an incredible difference in both my fitness and my life!

Carlsbad Crossfit is the most EXCELLENT place to train hard, have fun, advance your fitness level and make connections in a friendly, competitive environment!!!

They push you to excel and have a great attitude/​wit that can be hard to find.
They are always glad to help you with goals, technique, any injuries. (I had two long term injuries that Crossift has healed!)
However new or experienced they help you get stronger, faster, healthier!

Everyone is nice, glad to exchange tips on form & technique, cheers you on when you struggle/​fight to meet a new goal and we have a few good laughs along the way.

Competitive rates! .I feel I traded in a personal trainer for several trainers at a third the cost and once a week training for unlimited work out access.
**Sports Series**
Once a month we meet up outside of the box to try new things. So far I have done paddle boarding and archery. I had a great time and loved them both. Next up is rock climbing. Things I would never have tried or had the skill level to do as well without Carlsbad Crossfit!

I was traveling for work in the Carlsbad area before Thanksgiving. There are a good amount of crossfit boxes in the area, but Ricks’ attention to detail on his WOD posts grabbed my attention.
The community at the box was great. Everyone is friendly and welcoming and there are some beasts destroying WODs. Rick and Lindsay were probably the friendliest people I’ve met and Kip was also an awesome couch.
Rick’s knowledge and coaching ability are unmatched. I’ve been to a few crossfit boxes, and Rick is one of the best. Usually when traveling I’m just looking to get in a workout while being away from home, but I truly learned a lot being coached by Rick.
If you’re looking for a Box to call home, this is your place.

First time Crossfit experience — Friendly & Helpful Staff, Comfortable Team Enviornment.
One thing I always wondered, prior to going to a Crossfit was how intimidating it would be. A gym full of hard body monsters making regular people feel out of place. Definitely not the case at this gym. Each staff member was very friendly and helpful, never leaving you with questions about where you should be and what you should be doing.
The environment was great, people of all exercise levels were there and never did I feel out of place (even though it was my first class).
I definitely plan on going again and would encourage anyone considering a Crossfit, or even just a workout change, check out Carlsbad Crossfit!

On vacation, I needed to WOD called a few & tried a couple. This box by FAR was the friendliest & most welcoming by trainers & members! It became my box away from my box :) I got my first pull up! YAY my first pull up on the 2^nd day

I’m a traveling cross-​fitter and stopped in to do a class at Crossfit Carlsbad this week. The box is centrally located in a semi-​industrial area and although it is small it has all the equipment and space that you would need. Lindsay was coaching the class and she was super nice and welcoming towards me. CrossFit Carlsbad is a small box that has only been open around 6 months, but it is clear that they have a good coaching and community focused philosophy. The 9 am class that I attended only had 3 people, so a lot of the instruction and coaching was tailored to the audience which was nice.
Great Crossfit Box — would recommend to other traveling cross fitters or any locals wanting to get in shape with some top quality strength and conditioning training!

I have been a CrossFiter for about 3 years and I recently made Carlsbad CrossFit my home gym. The coaching expertise along with the friendly environment is one in which I continue to progress and excel as an individual competitor and athlete. Each session is structured and formulated in such a way that I am able to focus on building my strength, endurance, technique and have PR’d on several of my Olympic lifts. The support, encouragement and specific focus is an added bonus to my daily workouts.
