History

Established in 2014.

Mathnasium has been around for ten years and is based on over 30 years of foundational lessons in making math make sense to kids. We specialize in grades 2 – 12 and courses through high school, including Calculus. Each child is instructed on a one-​on-​one basis in a manner set to build independence and confidence. Our friendly atmosphere and staff make learning unintimidating for our friends who struggle with math, and challenging for those seeking enrichment.

Karen L, owner and Center Director of Mathnasium of La Costa, brings years of experience as an elementary teacher, administrator, and math curriculum writer to Carlsbad’s La Costa and surrounding communities. She chose her staff based on two key ingredients: Math ability and approachability. By imparting their knowledge in a friendly and engaging manner, your student just may become crazy about math!
