Rasta Taco specializes in catering corporate events, private parties, backyard gatherings, after-​hours wedding bashes and any other event where good people come together for good times and great tacos.

Tacos and sides, created with our original and proprietary recipes, are served from our specially-​designed mobile carts that will bring compliments from your guests for first class presentation of fun and flavor.

Because we’re licensed and insured, you can serve your guests without worry. After all, it’s your party and your focus and attention should be on your guests, not on your catering company.

History

Established in 2006.

Founded in 2006 by entrepreneur Mario «Maji» Melendez, Rasta Taco is a Mexican cuisine-​themed mobile taco cart catering company headquartered in Pasadena, CA with locations in San Diego, Santa Barbara, Orange and Ventura Counties.

Rasta Taco began its signature mobile taco cart catering company in 2006. Due to the success of its taco catering operation, Rasta Taco Holding Inc. was formed 2008 to seek out locations for both catering and Mexican fast casual restaurants as well as for the manufacture of gourmet products.

Today Rasta Taco Catering is still Southern California’s première mobile taco cart catering company. Rasta Taco manufactures and designs its own carts fashioned after authentic Mexican street-​style taco carts.

Typical Rasta Taco dishes include Caribbean carne asada, Jamaican chicken, slow simmered carnitas, seasoned and grilled shrimp and tilapia as well as vegetarian and vegan options for packages, entrees and sides.

There are many imitators, but only one Rasta Taco.
