Welcome to the ReadingWithout Limits website, where We Take A Closer Look At Reading Problems. The information provided here will help you get real answers to why your child has reading difficulty.

We are dedicated to helping children of all ages become better readers using new and unique medically based diagnostic testing and treatment. With us, your child can be evaluated for their reading problems by a doctor not an educator or teacher.

Our Methods will quickly improve everything from word pronunciation and fluency to reading speed, tracking, comprehension, and even spelling. We do not use traditional reading tutorial strategies, which emphasize phonics, sight reading, and other auditory based techniques. And, best of all your child can learn to read or improve their reading skills without having to remember any complicated rules.

History

Established in 2001.

Reading Without Limits is a unique reading center designed to help children behind in their reading skills. It is associated with Children’s Optometric of North County and the office of Dr. David Bloch, Adult and Pediatric Optometry located in Carlsbad, California. It is an alternative source for the diagnosis and treatment reading problems. Our reading improvement methods are based upon the treatment of vision processing problems. We opened in 2001 and are conveniently located in Carlsbad, CA. Dr. Bloch owns and operates Reading Without Limits. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Illinois College of Optometry in 1988.

Although Dr. Bloch’s treats all types of eye problems in both adult and pediatric patients, he was residency trained in pediatric optometry and the treatment of developmental vision problems. He expanded the scope of his practice to include the diagnosis and treatment of reading problems after working as a vision consultant.

Dr. David B.

Business Owner

Dr. David Bloch has been practicing in San Diego County since 1997. He has experience treating patients of all ages and many different types of eye difficulties. He also owns and operates Children’s Optometic of North County, a unique eye care facility dedicated to the development, correction, and rehabilitation of eye problems in children.

Dr. Bloch received his degree from Illinois College of Optometry in 1988 and graduated Magna Cum Laude. His post-​doctoral work included a residency in Pediatric Optometry at the University of Houston College of Optometry, where he subsequently taught as a clinical instructor for the pediatric, contact lens, and general optometry departments. He also worked with the partially sighted during his internship at the Illinois Visually Handicapped Institute in Chicago.

Dr. Bloch is a member of the American Optometric Association, College of Vision Development, and TLC Laser Eye Centers.
