Doc Shock (or as I call him Doc Cool) is the best chiropractor I have ever been to, he is now in Carlsbad and so glad he moved up here. I have been doing Chiro since I was 21 (about 40 yrs) and went to Western States Chiropractor College and had adjustments ($ 8.00 back then) from at least 50 different students, along with the past years and many chiros. He is by far the most thorough, intelligent, intuitive chiro I have been to. He found things I didn’t know I had wrong and it makes so much sense to me now that the pain I was in wasn’t JUST «soft tissue» as the MD’s say. Doc is really working with me on getting better and I can’t wait. If you can come up to North County he would probably love to see you all and if you live here already he is right in Carlsbad off of Carlsbad Village Drive. He has great treatment plans to fit your budget. Great environment, home baked goodies practically daily along with tea and/​or lemon water! I have been going to Beach Cities chiropractic for a couple of years. The staff is warm and wonderful. They helped me when I was in the worst pain of my life (childbirth was a breeze.). They took a person who was bent and distorted and made me walk upright again. with occasional adjustments, I have been pain free for over a year. I will be forever grateful. Thank you Beach Cities!

OK so to let everyone no. Dr. Shock is still around and doing great he is now on 4th ave. I just saw him. He is the same old doc. I love this guy. If you can’t get a hold of him just leave a message and Kristy will get right back to you. So if your one of his old patent’s or someone who need to see a chiropractor this is the only guy that I would ever recommend to anyone. He is the best Chiropractor ever. Go See him today.

I’ve been going to Doc S for about 7 years now. LOVE HIM! He is always patient and doesn’t rush you out the door. I love that he takes time to ask how you’re doing, as a whole person, rather than the wham bam thank you m’am adjustments I’ve had from other chiros.

I chose Dr. Publico because he was close to my house and was inexpensive. Thankfully I know by body pretty well and don’t typically take his advice. I just need a good adjustment every few months.
My observation from day one has been that the doctor is more interested in making money off of his patients than helping them. He always wants to put me on a 3 times/​week plan for an undetermined amount of time. I know what my body needs and it’s not that.
He also tends to blame the patient for their pain. He has signs all over the office with sayings that imply that it’s the patient’s fault for not coming in earlier.
Also, the décor is very tacky and out of date and it kinda smells like a vet’s office (old cat urine).
Once, I decided to take a dance class at Palomar college for fun, but my back started hurting a lot about a month into it. He said that it was the class causing the pain. It was too late to drop, so I needed a doctor’s note to withdraw. When I called and asked for a note, he told me that he would have to see me 3 times a week for two weeks before he would give me the note. He was holding it for ransom!
This was the last straw for me. I will never go there again. I have had enough positive experiences with chiropractors to know that the problem is him.

Dr. Publico is an amazing doctor! I’ve been a patient for over 8 years. He has always relieved my pain and made me feel like new! From the waiting room, I’ve seen people in wheelchairs, babies, folks of all ages and conditions gain relief from his wonderful care. On top of this great doctor, his staff is friendly, caring and always cheerful. If you have been looking for a caring and skillful chiropractor, make an appointment with Dr. Publico. You won’t be disappointed.

what the heck happened to this place? my wife went here a few times last year, but as of the new year, the phone just rings… no message, the place seems shut down and there’s graffiti starting to show up on signs and stuff… their website is dead. did the doc die or something? gosh i hope not… but there’s no message on the door, no answering machine… total ghost town.
follow up (apr 5, 2008) — found out they moved to a new location but they did a lousy job letting people know that.
