Contacted them and right away Avel came out to get an idea remodel we wanted and take measurements. Avel said he would send me quote next day, never did. I contacted him two day later asking if he was going to send the quote and after a couple days he responded to my email and said he would do so and that he was just so busy. I can understand being busy so I was just was ok but after two weeks and no contact, I just gave up and called someone else. If you can’t do what you say you are going to do why would you no just say you are not interested in the job or are too busy at this time to even take on a new job. Complete lack of communication is not really a great start to new business. On a positive note, he was very personable.

Avel and his team of craftsmen were great! Not sure what we wanted in a kitchen remodel but with Avel’s suggestions and creative ideas the end result was just what we wanted. I would not hesitate to recommend his services or take his advice from a design perspective!

West Coast Construction replaced two sliding doors, a kitchen window box and two other windows in our rental house. Everything went just as it should from the estimate appointment, until the job was finished. They showed up on time, and did what they said they were going to do. The price was definitely reasonable compared to other quotes. Avel suggested an alternative window option for the window box which could have saved us money, but we wanted to go with the original plan. I appreciated the suggestions though. The finish work both inside and out were very good, and the windows looked like they had been built that way. I was extremely happy with the finished job. Also, some contractors I have worked with in the past do a good job in the end, but the whole process is a bit painful. They don’t always show up when expected, etc. I didn’t have those issues with West Coast Construction, and would definitely give them a high recommendation.

Avel and his crew did a fantastic job fixing up all the cracks, drywall issues, bathroom retrofitting and cabinet work in my mom’s condo. He did a really nice job with the painting, carpeting and tiling, made the place look fresh and ready for sale. But the most important part is that Avel knew I was on a tight budget and he worked with me so generously. He even threw in some things he thought would help the place at no extra charge. If you are looking for a contractor to enhance your property for a better sale profit, I highly recommend Avel and West Coast Construction.

Let me just cut to the chase first. My parents are looking to do a bathroom remodel and I recommended Avel to them. If I’m willing to recommend a contractor to my parents, you know I liked him.
Avel was very willing to listen to me and help me work through a series of different ideas for the hall bathroom in my house. He worked well with me to come up with ideas that kept the project within our budget and got him the job. His guys did good work and were punctual. I was quite impressed with the care they took in keeping my house clean. I expect that I’ll work with Avel again, both on my projects and on my parents.

Avel and his crew have done an excellent job with my home improvements. They are punctual and do excellent work. I would highly recommend Avel to anyone looking for high quality work.

We had Avel and his crew do our kitchen remodel. Everyone that walks into our house says it is amazing and says it looks wonderful! Overall — I am very happy with the work they did and the overall price.
A few of the issues is a door still does not lock smoothly which he «fixed». The caulking does not look professional even after the ‘re-​do’. We painted the kitchen about 4 times — because of scratches when the cabinets were put in, texture did not look good, the wall was not straight so they had to fix it.
The main thing that could have been differently from the beginning was attention to detail. It seems like there things that were done just to get them done instead of taking pride in ones work. Make sure you mention everything you do not like or you think need to be fixed and write it down.
Overall our kitchen looks great and we enjoy cooking in it. I love that when people walk into our kitchen they are like ‘oh wow’ and ‘it looks amazing’. Then I think how much better it would look some pride and attention to detail was taken.
He also change a sliding door to be a single door and I love the back of the house and how great it looks. The stucco color is perfect and the texture looks great. No one can even tell that was done. I would recommend you for taking out walls, the window replacement, and the granite.

We started shopping for new windows for our condo over the summer and got quotes from a few different places — but neither my husband nor I really felt comfortable with the people who came to the house to give us a quote and as it happened, we couldn’t get the windows done until fall anyway. October came around and we began our search again.
We wanted good windows that would make us eligible for the tax rebate. At first, the quote Avel gave us was pretty high — out of our price range. But because he really wanted our business, he found comparable windows from another company that came in at a great price. Avel is so mild mannered, pleasant and easy going — we felt comfortable with him in our home so our decision was easy!
We ordered the windows around the second weekend of October and Avel advised us the windows would be delivered a few weeks later. A few days before the delivery date, Avel called to say they would be a few days late, but then later that day he called again to say we were still on track and the windows were delivered as promised. Avel called to make sure they had arrived, and then showed up as scheduled the next day. There was never any wondering about what was going on with our windows (and the large deposit we made!) because Avel was in constant communication with us.
I should also add that because we live in an HOA community, Avel took the extra step and mailed me a few of the window company’s brochures that I could send the HOA for approval.
He showed up with 3 guys and they made quick work of taking out our old windows and replacing them with the new ones. The guys he came with were all respectful, clean, friendly and efficient.
The windows look great! After it was all said and done, I had a follow up concern which was also handled professionally.
We will definitely look up West Coast Construction for our next home improvement and I would recommend this company to anyone!

I had a mid size remodel done to my house recently… kitchen, baths & windows. Looking for a reliable & trustworthy contractor wasn’t easy. A friend turned me on to West Coast and I’m very grateful to him for passing on the information.
Abel came in a gave me many options & free advice on the do’s & dont’s of my remodel. I liked his honest advice & was able to save much $$$ on the retrofit windows. Other contractor’s were trying to hustle me on changing window sizes which would have driven the costs way up. I love my kitchen & my beautiful new windows!!!
