Don’t usually like deep dish pizza but the deep dish here is to die for! Nice crispy crust with ooey gooey cheesiness on top, so delicious! Highly recommended.

Sadly the quality of the pizza has continuously dropped to the point that I won’t order from here anymore

Good customer service and delicious pizza. We ordered the thin crust Margherita pizza. Everything was fresh and worth every penny. The Bay Area is full of fast food pizza joints, so it was very refreshing to eat an actual home made pizza made with fresh ingredients. We will definitely be coming back.

O’k I have lived here for many years. I love to support local. I broke down and ordered a pizza after 10 years. It was good but priced to high. I can drive to Mid Valley and Iolis pizza and way better and ½ the price …

We ordered an extra large(over $ 30) veggie pizza with pepperoni added on and it was very disappointing. Barely any vegetables — maybe 10 slivers of green pepper, 30 olive slices and 10slivers of mushroom(probably from a sole shroom) as well as adequate pepperoni(which was only requested in order to assuage the kids). Beneath the scant vegetables was waaaay too much cheese and an undercooked deep dish crust. Where do they get off charging $ 35 for this? I know that the Village can be slow for business owners, but you shouldn’t cheat your local customers out of their hard earned money. Never again.

Stopped in here for a quick lunch on Sunday the 14th of September 2014. Sat at the bar with my son… and was met by «Tawny«the barkeep. I ordered the patty melt, and my son some fried chicken tenders. Food came promptly, was clearly just made fresh for us, and tasted terrific. Tawny was very pleasant to converse with, the drinks were refilled without asking, and we were fed and on our way in a twinkling. Prices were very fair given the freshness and quality of the lunch provided. We stopped here by chance… but were very glad we did. Nice local hangout… wish I were a local.

Terrible! I am a local and my family and I ate here a few years ago and thought although it was pricey, at least the pizza was great. Well… fast forward to a few weeks ago and I ordered a 4-topping family pizza with anchovies on the side to go. The woman that runs the place is very unfriendly and curt on the phone and in person. When I arrived, I was not greeted with a smile just a scowl from the cook and no eye contact from the woman I spoke to on the phone. I paid my $ 50, YES I said $ 50 and left. When I got home I realized I had no anchovies but was charged for them. I drove back, and she said said«did you order them?» OMG, I was the ONLY person in the place at the time! I said yes and waited for another 10 minutes for the anchovies. So by the time I get home, the pizza is cold, barely any sauce, barely any toppings. The mushrooms are black and taste like rubber. The crust is flimsy and soggy. If she had been friendly I would have taken it back or called, but I just didn’t want to deal with her attitude. I won’t even start about the restaurant itself, it needs«Restaurant Impossible» STAT!

Here’s how those geniuses who came up with super-scientific algorithms to prevent fraudulent reviews work. My actual review is in their blocked section. Go read it if you want to read a real review, not one screened by unscrupulous silicon valley parasites. Wonder which advertiser got my honest, positive review censored? Who cares? I don’t go to Unilocal for anything but hours and phone numbers. Hope their investors end up like the ones in the movie E-Dreams. Unilocal=scam.

Dee-licious!!! Order the Pepperoni with extra cheese pan pizza. It’s all bubbly and crispy on the bottom(like a Pizza Hut pan pizza) and makes you not share the crusts with your dog. They have yummy house-made ranch dressing. The salads are excellent and huge. The wings are spicy with a crisp to them(not breaded).

I liked it. Sure some might claim it is expensive for what you get and that commercial chain pizza is so much cheaper, but none of those commercial chain places are going to deliver a pizza to Carmel Valley Village and if you go get it yourself you are going to pay a lot more than what the Stirrup Cup charges by the time you pay for gas to get there and back etc plus your pizza will no longer be pipin’ hot ooey gooey goodness like you get from this place. I’ve had better pizza elsewhere, but both the deep dish and the thin crust here is way better than any of the commercial chain pizzas. Their ingredients are good and the cheese is some of the best I have tasted. I will definitely recommend this place for anyone in the mood for pizza in the Village. Extra points for being able to order drinks from the awesome bar next door!

I’m not sure why all these people are whining about price — pizza costs this much ANYWHERE. They specialize in Chicago Deep Dish pizza, and they make it well known. Why on EARTH would you order a thin crust pizza? That’s like going into an Fuji Apple orchard, looking for some good Granny Smiths. Now, enough of the negativity. My girlfriend and I have been visiting Carmel Valley during Valentine’s Day weekend for the past 4 years. Every time we are here, we visit Stirrup Cup Pizza. Why? First, when we enter the place, every time we are greeted heartily with a smile by the people who are working there. The décor is awesome — very rustic and antique-looking, like you are in an old saloon. They have photographs on the wall which I assume are at least 70 years old, and random knick-knacks everywhere. Now, the pizza. Always hot, always delicious, never dough-ey. We’ve ordered pizza both for dine-in, and for take-out before, and both scenarios have never disappointed. My girlfriend and I decided to switch things up a bit and visit Carmel Valley two times this year. Last night we went to grab some pizza. Same heartily greeting, same smiles, same awesome décor — oh and one bonus — the Giants game was on, and they were kicking St. Louis’ butt 5 – 0. 30 bucks for two sodas and a large pizza. Between the two of us, we ate two pieces each and had a half pizza to take with us back to where we are staying. Everyone is entitled to their opinions, including me(as I write this review!). If you’re in or around Carmel Valley and want some good Chicago Deep Dish Pizza, give them a try. At least you’ll be able to mark it off your bucket list. :)

Alright, so wifey has been sick all day, and it was up to me to feed the family and I’m not much of a cook. If I cooked us dinner, my wife probably wouldn’t have been the only one rushing to the toilet every half hour. So I decided to pick up a Stirrup Cup pizza for the first time since moving back to the Village. Last time I had their pizza I didn’t care much for it, but that was about a decade ago, and several people have told me that it was very good. It wasn’t that bad, the cheese, sauce, and toppings were all fine. The crust was OK, except that the outer crust tasted like eating a handful of flour. What turned me off the most was the price. After a two dollar tip, it cost me twenty-five bucks. I know, it’s Carmel Valley. I didn’t expect Pizza Hut prices, but I did expect them to exceed Pizza Hut quality if they’re going to charge those prices. They didn’t even bring it to my house or anything. I had to get off the couch in the middle of a football game, put on some pants, and drive there to pick up a $ 23 pizza that was slightly better than DiGiorno’s. I’m sure I’ll order pizza from them again, but only because I’m lazy. Not because it’s good.

You call that pizza. Ordered the thin crust but it was thick a raw doughish tasting, your sauce is too sweet, too much burnt cheese. Also the owner needs to work on her snobbish attitude.

Stopped for a snack and had a medium Stirrup Cup Combo pizza. We were pleasantly surprised. It was a very good pizza. I’ll go back if I am in Carmel Valley again. We also liked the very different atmosphere with antiques that looked like from the twenties to the fifties. I recommend the place.

The last time we ate here was about 3 years ago. The place has recently changed owners, but the pizza tastes the same– great! I mean, it’s really hard to ruin a pizza. We ordered one that had spinach, sausage and mushrooms and the sauce was quite good. Service was very friendly, and I felt the price was reasonable. For a large pizza and three non-alcoholic drinks, the tab was under $ 25.00. We even took a few slices home, as two slices was plenty for each of us. The place seems busy, and I’d definitely eat here again.

Great pizza. They offer roasted garlic as a topping option, which makes me very-very happy. I’ve only had it to-go, I’ve not eaten there so I can’t comment on the atmosphere. Our order is always right, fresh, hot and tasty. A standard in our house.

Really nice people and pretty good pizza. The kids looked like they were having fun playing guitar hero. If you have a big group, call ahead!
