Joy Jacobs makes buying or selling real estate a Joyful experience. The wonder of working with Joy is the fabulous team she has put together. They are there for you every step of the way. This amazing team does the impossible. They closed an escrow for me that would have crumbled and fallen apart several times, if it weren’t for Joy going above and beyond anything one could reasonably expect to get it closed. When Joy commits to sell your home, or find you a new one, she performs. You matter to her. I have purchased and sold dozens of properties over the years and never worked with an agent that I felt truly cared about at the level that Joy cares. She is determined to close your deal and takes it personally. It isn’t «just a job». She shepherds the deal in a way that everyone feels taken care of and good about the transaction. When you hire Joy, you get a whole team working on your behalf, not just one agent. Each one on the team uses their own expertise to make sure you deal closes and you get the best treatment possible. Jen is a marvelous companion for finding your new home. I can’t overstate the value of having a buyers agent, rather than get stuck working with an agent who is really representing the seller, not the buyer in a dual agency situation. If you are looking for a home, don’t go it alone! Get Jen and Joy to help you find you new property and represent you all along the way. It doesn’t’ cost you a dime, the seller is paying the commission, but you know you have the best agents looking out for just you. I would not consider using another agent in Monterey County. I don’t often write reviews on line, but I am so moved by the expertise of this team I just had to «share»!

Joy Jacobs and her team helped us maneuver through a very long and complicated short sale. Throughout the whole process they were very professional, friendly, and on top of things. They literally had to sell the house five or six times because the buyers kept flaking out or had bank problems. The final deal took more than 6 months (due to the Buyer’s complicated business history), but they kept us on top of what was happening at every minute. Calls (and almost instant text replies) were always bitter-​sweet. She sometimes had to deliver bad news but by the end of the call we were laughing and just enjoying talking to her.
Part Agent, part comedian and part spiritual advisor, Joy manages to make you feel like your deal is the most important thing in her life right now, next to her Grand-​babies (even on our reduced commission short-​sale)!!!
If you are looking for an agent who gets things done, while having a good time doing it then Jacobs Realty should be your choice. Do yourself a favor– call and meet your «New best Friend».

Joy and Marilyn did the impossible! Joy found the perfect home for us by good old fashioned, roll up your sleeves hard work. They partnered with us every step of the way. And consider this: all was accomplished with us being 2 hours apart. We cannot say or thank them enough, as we have said «Joy Joy makes it happen!» Their dedication to customer service earned the the #1 spot for realtors in the Monterey Weekly AND in our hearts! Now I want to buy another home just to watch them work their magic!
