History
Established in 1983.
Founded in 1983 by Ben Mattingly, who was born and raised in Carmichael, A Better Moving Co. is a local institution who has provided professional moving services to its clients for over 25 years.
The facility moved to its current location on Fair Oaks Blvd. in 1992,
but also operates a 10,000 sq’ storage facility in the Natomas area.
A Better Moving is still under the same ownership and management
and has several employees who have been there more than 20 years.
Over time the services they provide have expanded from being a local mover to a national and international freight shipper, with satellite offices in Hawaii and Portland.

When I brought home my first moving van and decided to go into the moving & storage business, my wife was questioning my choice of business venture. Now, over 25 years later we still own and operate our small moving business located in Carmichael, near Sacramento where we work side by side. We contribute our success to our great staff, we have about 15 – 20 employees who have helped us build a solid reputation in the community and beyond.
