History

Established in 2013.

C Ferris Landscape Design creates and renovates gardens in Northern California. We provide Landscape, Garden and Planting planning and design focused on sustainably beautiful outdoor spaces. Specifically serving the Greater Sacramento Area with custom landscape designs and personal garden consultations to develop distinctive and practical environments for you and your family to enjoy season after season.

Our professional services range from simple consultations to professionally drafted landscape plans. We work with your preferred landscape contractor, or we can help you find one that’s right for you. Either way, we work in tandem with them to insure that your new landscape is installed to meet specifications and will thrive for years to come.

My enthusiasm for plants and gardens led me to create C Ferris Landscape Design after studying at U.C. Berkeley Extension in their Landscape Architecture Program. This program provided me with a comprehensive foundation in design, aesthetics, environmental awareness and technical knowledge as taught by industry professionals with hands-​on knowledge of landscape design. But my interest in garden design is also in my genes — my grandparents started a native plant nursery on the Oregon Coast in the 1950’s, my uncle is a landscape designer and my father has ALWAYS had the best vegetable garden on the block!
