My wife and I recently bought an older mobile home in West Sacramento. We wanted to remodel the interior before moving in but our house was sold and we had to move in 45 days at the close of escrow. No pressure there right!
We were going to tear out the old wall panel and insulation and install the new insulation ourselves. Then replace the wall panel with drywall, repaint everything and finally, new carpet.
Based on the Unilocal reviews we had 3 companies give us estimates. They were all fairly close in price so that wasn’t really a factor.
For the painting, we chose to go with Emanuel and Martis Concepts. (OMG. I’m so glad I did. It’s been a few months and looking back… I can’t even begin to express my gratitude for all the hard work this young man did for us) Emanuel was by far the most professional of the 3. He came and answered all of our questions and was very easy to deal with.
Now, here’s the good part: There’s a lot to know when dealing with a remodel that we didn’t know. We were under a tight time schedule so the logistics was a challenge. Contractors speak their own lingo and sometimes it was difficult to make decisions. That’s when Emanuel took over. I also had an electrical contractor here working on all the wiring etc so they all had to get along…
He made sure the drywall guys did everything they were supposed to. We didn’t know any better but HE did! They had to come back after supposedly being done to finish some window edging work. But the real challenge came with the trim.
When u change from panel to drywall, the thickness of the material is different. This throws off the fit of the trim. Emanuel to the rescue! He knew a trim guy and had him come out on short notice and they trimmed the whole house in ONE DAY! Amazing. Every room. All the ceilings and doors, perfect!
Emanuel worked closely with my wife Trina and her 3-​color scheme. He uses only Sherwin– Williams products and the place looked fantastic. He was here on a Friday installing and painting the trim after the carpet was installed until 10:30 PM. We moved in the next morning at 9:00 AM

What more can I say? Emanuel and his crew not only kept all of their promises, but they exceeded every expectation that I had. They take pride in their work and it shows. When I first met Emanuel, he was very professional, informative, and provided valuable recommendations to achieve the look I wanted. After our meeting, I decided to hire Emanuel, and I am so happy I did! He provided a timeline for the work that needed to be completed, which was accurate. If I texted a question, he responded in a timely manner (usually within minutes). There were times when I had to travel for work, and he was very accommodating with my schedule. He was always nice, pleasant, professional and detail oriented. In addition, I am exceptionally pleased with the quality of his work: painted cabinets, installed cabinet handles, installed hardwood floors, installed wall plates, painted the house grey, installed posts on kitchen island, stained handrails. We could not be more pleased with the outstanding paint job Martis Concepts performed on our Land Park home!
After receiving a few estimates went with Martis for several reasons. First, Emanuel (the Owner) got back with us promptly and was very knowledgeable during the preliminary walk through. We quickly received a reasonable estimate and any follow up questions were quickly answered via email. Also Emanuel is such a genuine and pleasant guy we got a good feeling, actually a feeling of relief, right away.
With painting you get what you pay for — the time spent doing prep work, hiring an experienced company, and using quality materials will pay off in the long run and will cost you far less down the road. My husband was in the building trades and I am the daughter of a long retired painting contractor, so we know about the importance of proper prep work, quality paints, etc. We immediately knew that Emanuel was the real deal and that this was the company for us.
The Martis crew was punctual, professional, polite and neat. They even wrapped our stamped cement porches so as not to damage them, that kind of foresight and consideration is rare. Their paintwork is high quality and the job was completed in the time that was estimated. Emanuel was there on the job too, which really inspires confidence in a company (if the owner cares enough to oversee and work along side his crew on the job). They even performed extras that I would have never thought about.

Emanuel and Martis Concepts was exceptional from start to finish. He is very knowledgable and takes great pride in his work. Emanuel and his crew just completed painting the exterior of my home. I will not be using anyone else for painting and already have plans for him to do some interior work. I highly recommend Martis Concepts.

From the first day you meet Emmanuel from Martis Concepts, you will be impressed. Unlike any other estimator, he provided me with an informational packet about his services.
Communication — Whenever I emailed or texted him, he replied promptly. If I asked him direct questions, he always replied and answered them.
Attention to detail is one of their strongest assets.
–When painting our outdoor patio, he put a wall of plastic around it just so the overspray would not spray all over the rest of the yard in the swimming pool.
–He told me spraying the patio with primer would cost extra money, but he found an extra 5 gallon primer at the shop and charged me for nothing.
In the end, we will definitely hire him again next time. But hopefully not for many many years. :)
Last and finally, the thing I was most impressed about was the fact that they painted two coats of paint on the entire house. Let me say that again, the entire house was properly prepped, and he painted my house with two coats of premium Sherwin Williams Super Coat paint!

Emmanuel (the owner) came in person and over saw the entire job. This was not a huge job, I needed my baseboards painted immediately after our wood floors were refinished (because we were staying in a hotel). He was punctual, flexible on the exact day I needed him to come, reliable, trustworthy, and courteous. I plan on hiring him in a few years to completely strip and repaint the exterior of my 1950’s wood siding house. He does amazing work and can’t wait to work with him again. It is evident that his reputation in being a man of integrity if very important to him. He understands that as the owner, he must be present to oversee his staff in order to provide the highest quality of work possible.

I hired Emanuel Martis to manage a full kitchen remodel, refinishing of our hallway cabinets and banisters, and installation of new wood laminate flooring and baseboards. He and his team did a fantastic job from start to finish. We kind of fell into this project due to some water damage that affected our kitchen, so we were short on ideas for design and color concepts. Not only did Emanuel have great input and direction on this, but he also helped identify suppliers that could give us top quality products for much less than others might charge. He and his team were also very professional — always on time, polite, conscious of our belongings, and cleaned up after each day of work. This was a constant through the entire 6 week project. In addition, the workmanship was top notch. We’ve received huge compliments from all our friends and family and couldn’t be happier with Martis Concepts.

Emanuel and his team did a great job on our Land Park home. Major repair and prep work took over two weeks. The finished paint job is beautiful. The entire team was always professional and very respectful to each other and to the neighbors. Several of our neighbors asked for Emanuel’s contact info for future paint jobs.

I can’t say enough about painting contractor Martis Concepts. In spite of interruptions caused by winter weather, Emmanuel and his crew spent an amazing amount of time preparing the exterior surfaces of my home so that the job would be perfect, and that’s exactly how it turned out. They even took the time to scrape away excess stucco around the window frames, move dirt away from the foundations, and carefully mask the underside of the roof tiles so that all those difficult areas could be perfectly painted. I was amazed that they were able to complete this job without damage to plants around the foundation of the house, and each day the carefully cleaned their work area and left everything neat. Emmanual and his crew were quiet, pleasant, and easy to work with at all times. It is obvious to me that this crew really care about doing the best job for the customer, a trait that you don’t always find. I highly recommend Martis Concepts.
