History

Established in 2012.

On Wednesday, February 22, this site was launched as a project to promote local artists and artisans in North Carolina. In under 24 hours, we surpassed 800 pageviews and have since been expanding! I’m hugely excited about the opportunities this outlet will present for the arts in North Carolina, and would be honored to accept your support in this endeavor. Currently, the site acts as merely a display page for artist to link to their work on other venues. Submissions have included links to Etsy shops, personal websites, and Facebook pages. The vision of NC Arts is to allow artists to share a community (forum), an outlet for sales, and even local meetings. Guest posters are welcome and venues such as local college and university art departments will be featured and involved.
