AAMCO Transmissions & Total Car Care

I never thought I would have to write a negative review because I will try you once if I like it I will be back if not I wont.
BUT THIS PLACE has turned my life upside down for 3 weeks. If you have time read my review if not save yourself and go somewhere else.
I took my car (BMW) to get a wheel bearing replaced, the same day they called me stating in order to take the wheel bearing of they need to take the hub completely out and thats going to be an extra $ 85 which I agreed to. Next day they calling me telling me that the axle broke and they are trying to find me a good deal on it. WHATTT??? You broke it and you want me to pay for it? Long story short I went over there and told them there is no way in hell I am going to pay for something they damaged with their hammer and they agreed to take responsibility.
HERE COMES THE TERRIBLE NEWS
Monday Labor Day they called me by saying «We got your car fixed and took it for a test drive and got into an accident» I immediately rushed to the scene and saw my vehicle totalled. I will say the accident was not their fault but with all the issues I had with these people I am not surprised they this lucky. Did I mentioned that I invested 4K (new paint, wheels, tires) 2 weeks before taking the car to them. All I got from them is «IM SORRY, THE INSURANCE WILL PAY FOR YOUR CAR». I was in love with my car, bought it brand NEW, I took care of it like no other car and all I get IM SORRY. F. ur sorry. I cant buy the same car with the insurance money.
AGAIN fellow Unilocalers never believed in negative reviews, I will always rave about good businesses but its not my place to say what I like and dont like. «JUST MY OPINION».
BUT Please do not go here.

I had a transmission leak where the drive shaft is located. The seal was broken and they did the repair. A week later it was still dripping. I took it back and was told it’s caused by something else and would cost me an additional $ 550 to fix it. So in total, I would be looking at $ 800 to fix a leak. Not once was he apologetic or offer to work out a deal. It was straight to my wallet. No thanks. You lost my trust as a customer.

If I could I would rate this place with negative stars… they completed fooled us… Went to AAMCO with a problem with my car told them the issue, they said no problem we will run a diagnostic and call me with the results so they can fix the problem, I get a call a couple hours later & they told me they need to do work on my transmission to resolve the issue with my car. I understand my vehicle is 6 years old and its probably time for this typeof repair and this appears to be a reputable shop that would have taken care of my vehicle. I authorize the repairs and pick up my vehicle 7 days later with Minimal communication about status on my vehicle’s repairs. I was in a rush the day I picked up my vehicle and frustrated that I was paying over $ 2K for the repairs. Shortly after leaving the shop I realized that the issue was still ongoing, and nothing had changed. It was too late to take it back that evening since they were already closed. I took it back the next day and explained that the vehicle is doing the same thing I brought it in here for. Hinting at the fact that they didn’t repair what needed to be repaired… well needless to say, my car spent another 5 days at their shop while I had 3 test drives with technicians and the owner showing them the noise and hestiation my vehicle was having. FInally they had an answer as to why my vehicle was making that awful noise and hestiation that I initially told them it was doing almost 2.5 weeks ago. So after all that work, they tell me that it is my thermal/​fan clutch. I say ok, well you need to fix it since this is what I brought my vehicle in here for and not the $ 2K repairs you did to my transmission. They offered to give a good price on the labor to due the repairs. Needless to say I did not take them up on their offer. Now I am out $ 2K and a worked on transmission and my vehicle is in the same place it was before I took it to AAMCO. I can’t believe it. I will NEVER EVER go back!
